weird symptom

So, i have been having issues with blurry vision and double vision in the last couple months. But all of a sudden today, i see everything in a pink hue. It wont go away!

Never had this happen before, any ideas guys :/ ?

catra121 11-02-2012 01:29 AM

I've had the blurry vision and double vision...but not the pink hue.

Abbie 11-02-2012 12:10 PM

I've not had the pink vision that I can recall....

I've had kaliedescope vision, blurred vision, half vision, and pinhole vision.

All of those were trace back to occular migraines with aura's.

You may want to ask your doc if it's possible your vision troubles could be migraines. Can't hurt to ask.

I wish you the best.
Abbie

I have to agree with Abbie this could be a sign of migraines. Wish you a better day.

I sometimes get a grey hue, but never pink. I do have trouble with my eyes focusing and what my eye doc says is "over focusing." I would definitely suggest seeing an eye doctor to rule out anything in that department.

Thanks for the help guys, couldnt get into eye doc, but i see my pm on monday, so ill talk to him, then go to eye doc.

The pink hue.. I cant say ive had pink but red yes. it usually happens when my migrains are at its worst. My wife says that when I complained of the color change my eyes were completley red right to the pupil.. could be a rush in blood to the ocular area. as an eye dr.. could also be a reaction to one of your meds read the side affects..(call the pharmacy too)

So, after the first day, its been a little less often. Really bad after getting up or just standing up throughout day.

And my peach colored bathroom may have to change :p because it looks like pepto when it happens, and makes my eyes hurt!

Thanks so much everyone.

Hi Candice,

Funny you should ask this as I am now having pretty bad blurry vision. Its the worst in the morning and then by mid day it gets better. Think I may ask my PM dr about it next week. Thanks for the post! I am new on here and I was so glad to see a post about one of my new symptoms. :-)

well pm didnt think much of it, should i go see my neuro? :/

I am just so tight on money, and uninsured. and i always over think things, so i try to get people who i trust opinions

Im sure your PM asked other ?s. I have complex partial and simple partial seizures, so when i see the colors or bright lights that arent there, then that is an idicator im having a seizure. You should know if you had other sympthones with your brain lol.

Hi Candice, I wondered if you had got an answer about your pink vision as my daughter (who as at this point has not been diagnosed with any neurological condition) suffered double vision a couple of months ago which cleared after a couple of days but for the past 2 days has been seeing everythink pink out of her right eye. She attended an eye clinic today and they could not tell us anything. I am beginning to wonder if this is a neurological issue?

PurpleFoot721 03-11-2016 10:09 PM

Hi AJ46 and welcome to NeuroTalk.

I am sorry to hear about the unusual vision issues that your daughter is having. That sounds very unusual. Since this thread is a couple of years old, and Candice has not been on here since last June, you may not get a response from her.

I do not know where the best place to post would be, but if you post a new thread under the New Member Introduction section, you may have a better chance of somebody responding that could possibly help a little better.

Here is the link to the New Member Introduction section of NeuroTalk: http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum88.html.

If you do not have any luck there, you are always welcome to ask more questions here. We are a very welcoming group and will gladly try to help however we can.

i've had blurry vision, double vision and recurrent eye infections from rsd but no pink hues. rsd and the med gabapentin can can cause blurry and double vision and rsd can sometimes be the cause of eye infections (as with mine) because rsd weakens our immune system making us more prone to infections. i hope you're feeling better now. if i were you i would let your pm dr know your gp know and go see an eye dr to rule out anything else. not so sure of the pink hue so i would tell the eye dr about that too. take care.
