Ashley...Good to hear from you!
Ashley-
It's good to hear from you so soon- I take that as a good sign, although I'm sorry to hear that you're in pain. As I hear/read though, the post-op pain from the trial dissapates rather quickly, so I hope that will be the case for you as well- am praying for you, as promised! Thanks for keeping in touch, it's definietly helping me, for as you know I have my trial coming up. So I must ask, if you don't mind, when you say you 'thought you were ready' but you weren't, how so do you mean? Was it more painful than you expected? Or were you surprised in another way? "Picking your brain" so to speak, is helping me so much, I can't express my gratitude that you're willing to be so open through all this! Thanks again, and I'll be praying that you feel better soon, and that you get great pain relief from your SCS! ~Colleen  |
ps...duh on my part!
p.s. I just re read your post... and realized I read wrong the first time. I now see what you meant by "thought you were ready" you say so right there "as far as surgical pain".... Sorry for my big "duh"...
lol.... hope this finds you feeling better, and can get a laugh at my expense :D ~Colleen  |
Ashley
Ashley do hang in there. You pain will subside. It can be a bit painful but it will pass and then you will be a happy bunny :D
Take care Jackie:hug: |
Ashley...
What Jackie says is right. Try not to get discouraged these first couple of days. I layed on ice for the most part and didn't even really get outta bed.
By day 3 & 4, you'll begin to feel better about everything and the surgical pain and swelling will begin to ease up. Rae :grouphug: |
Ahh the pushing and rooting about is horrible .. don't remind me. Hope things get better soon!

Prayin Ashley!
It was the second or third day for me when I started crying after my wife asked how I felt.....
I FELT SO GOOD!!! There was a definite replacement of pain with Buzz. I pray this will be your lot, for the poke of the Trial surgery is pretty transitory usually as the percutaneous leads are not so very invasive as the laminectomy and insertion of the paddles with the permanent implant. Yup, Prayin, Mark56:):grouphug: |
