Blizzard warning and Sleep number bed delivery, which will win?

It's supposed to come tomorrow. I guess I should say both of them are supposed to come. I don't want to put any delivery people in danger just to bring my bed but I still want that bed.

Well we are ready for santa now, with about 4 inches on our roof, so far, still snowing and the Schwans guy was just here and I hear the garbage coll. guys, so business as usualy, here in Ohio. We're used to it.:D

I hope you get your new bed, safely, tomorrow. I can't wait to hear how your first night's sleep went.:)

doydie 12-26-2012 01:15 PM

haven't heard anything yet, good or bad. We got about 4 inches, that's what my husband guesstimates it as. When we changed this storage area into a bedroom we never considered a sound barrier between the room and the living room above. UGHHH.

doydie 12-26-2012 02:37 PM

Well it won't come today

doydie 12-26-2012 05:01 PM

Friday afternoon!!!!!!!!!!! It better be then. My daughter and her husband and I wouldn't do well in that bed together. I wish I had a couple of days with experimenting with what is comfortable for me before all the family gets in and fun starts

We received snow Christmas Eve night. All our kids came over early that morning and we did all the cooking in my kitchen (which they did most of the cooking). Today the snow started melting. Usually we don't get snow on Christmas.

I heard that a great number of the ones up in the north are getting a lot. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

It's mot even 6:30 am, I'm sleepy, I caught the abbreviated thread title as I looked at threads and thought it said "Buzzard warnings and Sheep." I thought, well never mind what I thought,

doydie 12-27-2012 01:19 PM

That's OK kicker. The other night I dreamed I was sitting in a field on a farm actually quilting the field, not quilting sitting on the field but actually quilting it

SallyC 12-27-2012 02:21 PM

I think we got 6 inches or so. Cold out, looks nasty. SSon is coming over to bring me a gift. I thought he would cancel because of weather, but he has a 4wheel. so..:)

I'm sure not going anywhere..

Glad this didn't happen on Christmas Eve or Day. Peeps might not have made it here?

SallyC 12-29-2012 09:55 AM

2 more inches here and I didn't get a dang bed. Not even a T-shirt.:D

Did it come yet, Doyds?

Well the bed got at my house at 3 PM on Friday afternoon. The kids were supposed to get here at 8 but due to the blizzard got there at 10. So we had plenty of time to get their bedroom ready for them after I slept there 3 nights in a row. Also plenty of time to bite my nails, pace the floor and worry. Everyone else got in safe and sound also and we had a wonderful, wonderful Christmas.

My youngest daughter and my sister's daughter in law came through in the cooking again. My daughter and son in law bought me a new faucet. I have had the same faucet for 35 years and it was shot. It was one of those old fashioned one tap faucets. You never could get hot or cold anymore. It was always luke warm. and It was really hard to shut the faucet off. But since we don't cook at home that much it didn't matter to us that much. So when they get in after driving a 3 hour trip in 5 hours in a blizzard he starts installing this faucet. He found out that it wasn't as simple as he thought!!!! So early the next morning he starts again and makes a Lowes trip to get mroe supplies. So noon comes and the cooks arrive. He is still sitting on the floor in the middle of the kitchen trying to install this thing. In the meantime the girls are having to go to the bathroom for water, washing food and hands. So 1/2 hour before dinner is ready he finishes. I'm sure he felt so bad but we will enjoy it. And the cooks really will enjoy it.

Did you sleep in your new bed yet? How was it?:)

doydie 01-01-2013 12:49 PM

Yes Sally I have slept in it. I have found out that sometimes when I'm in more pain I need to set it at a different number. I just can't set it at the number that the store said I was. But so far the cat and I love it

ANNagain 01-02-2013 05:23 PM

Well I guess that's a question I haven't asked her. All I know is that she doens't complain with my number
