Feeling better finally

Hopefully this is a trend back upward. I was feeling so rough for awhile, but things are getting to a place pain wise where I am able to manage all right. Check out my latest manicure!

Hope you like the stamping, it's the first time I've felt well enough to stamp since the oral surgery and the first time since I've lived in the new home that I've attempted it. I hope you enjoyed it.

I love the fact that you did your manicure, and I love the smilies, but more importantly, I love the fact that you are feeling happy and good !

May this feeling last forever ! or at least, 100 years

Pamster 02-04-2013 10:21 AM

Thanks everyone. I am feeling better. Starting to be able to gum stuff a bit now that I've healed up a couple of weeks. :) Glad you all enjoyed the manicure. :D

Hi, Pam,

You are on a journey. You are going to be o.k. Thanks for the pictures of your happy nails.

What do you think of the smoky/silvery/brownish Blues and Greens?
They look cute and chic but I am not sure if they are flattering for everyone.(have not tried them)

Pamster 02-06-2013 08:57 AM

Things are going to improve, I have faith. You're so right Mari. Glad to share the pics of my smilie faced nails. I am about to take the polish off and do up a red one. I love blues and silvery, smokey nails, but greens aren't my favorite and I only have two browns. Although I did do one recently of Gold stamping on a dark brown manicure:

Here is a Blue on Blue I did that you might enjoy:

Just hanging in there. Wishing things would chill out on the anxiety. That's my biggest problem, is the anxiety. But I am doing better. :)

Pamster 02-06-2013 10:47 PM

Thank you butterfly11 and thank you too bizi! I have on a nice red now, but I haven't stamped it yet, maybe tomorrow or Friday. :)

Dmom3005 02-07-2013 12:53 AM

Pam

This is heart month. SO the red is really appropriate. So can't wait to see it.

Would like to say next month is disability month. So what could you do
for that.

Will be waiting to see. I'm drawing strength from these right now.

My shourler says go for it.

Hi, Pam.

This is nice artwork.

Pamster 02-07-2013 07:04 AM

Thanks Donna, I had heard it's Heart month, and so I wanted to do a heart styled manicure in honor of that, so the stamping is coming soon. To tide you over though here's the base manicure:

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/pi...pictureid=7313

So white heart related stamping to come. :) Thanks Mari! :D

Hey Pam

So glad you are feeling better Pammie!!!:hug::hug:

Those manicures are fantabulous! (AS ALWAYS.) i loved the gold on brown. It occurred to me that I personally might prefer to wear that gold stamping on a black gloss or ice frost polish, but i'd see either combo as more "flashy" looking. That gold on brown combo you did really impressed me for its conservative Elegance. :)

Also I raved over that red you posted.... It is so deep and lush... While i'm sure it would make a great back ground for a Valentine stamp, I know the trim would take over... This polish is so gorgeous by itself, as well.

i'm so glad you are finally able to do your hobby again, Pam. :):) i recall how much you missed it! Yay! :yahoo:

That's what I was going to say waves - that this is a great for Valentines Day color!

Pam... on nail artistry

Heya Pammie,

when I saw this quote I laughed ... and then... I couldn't help but think of you... despite the reference being just barely proximal to the work you do with your fingernails.

I can't wait to see more of your nail art, btw.

Thanks! I hope to get them repainted today, I am feeling a little rough around the edges since the allergies I was feeling this week have degenerated into sinus infection or a cold or something. I'll kick it though, but it won't be fun. :p

I am not sure what color I'll be doing them in, something fun for Spring probably. I'll post pics if I get it done today. :D To tide you over here is one I did last year:

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/pi...pictureid=7317

Hope you like it! :D

Dear Pam,
Those are beautiful.
You are talented.

Pamster 02-13-2013 11:01 AM

SO glad you both enjoyed this one. It came out better then I had expected it would. :) I am fighting bad allergies right now, the oaks here are oozing pollen! My nose hasn't stopped running for days. I really am sick of it too. Oh well. Thinking of redoing my nails today to something else. Not sure what though. :)

Dmom3005 02-14-2013 12:00 PM

Thanks Pam

It really brightened my day.

I really wish I could leave my nails alone. I then have chipping
nails and none.

Ugh. I was doing so well to. But I am working on it too.

I take the stuff you suggested, but I had to go off a while.

Restarting soon.

Pamster 02-14-2013 02:16 PM

I am glad to have had a positive impact on your day Donna! :) It takes awhile, and you have to take biotin consistently or it will stop working. I got sick and also when I had that dental surgery I stopped taking it, just basically forgot, and that is why my index fingernail broke last night I am sure of it. Because of how low the break was. Anyway, it does take time and effort, but for me it's a coping mechanism. I hope you like this one too Donna!

Your work looks great!

Pamster 02-15-2013 08:20 AM

Thank you! :) I really am glad to be stamping again, I was missing it. It's really not too bad on time once you've got it figured out as to how to get the images to transfer from the image plate, to the stamper, then from the stamper to your nails. I find it's about a twenty minute process. :)

waves 02-15-2013 08:41 AM

Some beauties there Pam

I just loooove looking in on this thread...

sorry about the broken nail... they'll grow. i know what you mean about the vits. i have to keep my nails real short for guitar, but they are usually pretty strong - my b-complex has pretty hefty biotin content. recently i went several weeks of missing my vits more than taking them, and soon enough, my nails started splitting every which way! i'm trying to be better about taking them now... i take the vits to compensate dietary weaknesses and med depletions, so they are important. in a way, it is good that my nails "remind me" that i am screwing up! :o;) LOL.

curious... how much biotin do you take, Pam? my B-complex has 150mcg.

all of your manicures are great, Pam. I think it's so cool you did one for SIDS awareness. Of those you recently posted, my fav's are the leopard print (OH YEAHHH!!! :D:D) and the hibiscus - simply delightful! :)

btw, i loved the roses also... they looked familiar? i wonder if you posted them last year or if perhaps there was a similar do. anyway, that sure was pretty.

* Thank you Pammie *

... for sharing your passion and decorating our little forum with your beautiful art! :)

:You-Rock:

Pamster 02-15-2013 08:42 PM

I might have, posted them last year I mean. Not sure. I am so happy you and the others enjoy my nail art. It's my one hobby that I can enjoy without too much trouble. I really have trouble when it comes to doing other's nails though. In my 20's when I did it for a living for a brief while, it was so hard. I was so slow, and the fumes from it and the hair services were overwhelming. I just couldn't handle it. :p

Anyway, my biotin intake used to be the 5,000 mcg of it, but I read we only use or need 350 mcg of biotin a day so I dropped down to the 1,000 mcg which I still take once a day. :D So happy you posted waves. :D This is my passion all right, I love the color therapy aspect. :D If I am feeling a little funky I can dress up my nails and leopard print them. Or if I am feeling more laid back and romantic I can do red roses on them. It's all a matter of whatever I feel at any given moment. :D

BlueMajo 02-17-2013 12:21 AM

PAM !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my Gosh, YOU ARE AMAZING !!!!!!!!!! I love nail art !!!!

I have enjoyed looking your nails A LOT !!!
