Reality show addicts part 4

I know Sally has already started a thread on Survivor but there are some other shows restarting, Amazing Race, Apprentice, American Idol and the other one was getting pretty long so I started a new one. I can't believe this is thread number 4.

AI is now down to the top 40, next week the show starts. I don't think I ever heard the guy who has a total identity crisis sing but it will be interesting to see the publics reaction to 'him'. Although the one bery quirky girl was very interesting I was kind of glad she din't go through. She had a different sound that I'm sure will appeal to a lot of people but she was bouncing off the wall and unpredictable. Felt sorry for the big African American girl who had quite a voice. she just totally chose the wrong thing to sing as her final solo. She just made up a song on the fly and it was about the judges. I loved the first girl and her song at the piano.

Can't wait to have AR start over again and I get to travel around the world free just by sitting on my couch. That's why I like to watch House Hunters and House Hunters International. I get to see all these different cities and countries and don't pay a thing.

So what are you guys watching?????

doydie 02-18-2013 01:09 AM

Amazing race started tonight. I don't like it when they start making alliances when they first meet. They don't know anything about each other and then feelings are hurt when the alliance isn't kept. Two big fire fighters got beaten by two blondes tonight. They will never hear the last of that at the fire station. All I know is I want to go sky diving now!!!!

doydie 02-19-2013 12:29 AM

It seems like I'm talking to meyself ehre but hey, I like myself!!! Biggest Loser on tonight. they had a challenge that if they lost 70 pounds collectively that there would be no elimination. Sounds pretty daunting. But then they broguht the kids in to let them take part. They ahd the opportunity to knock up to 10 pounds off that. They took 9 pounds off so that meant 61 pounds. Then they had a physical challenge that if conmpleted in 30 minutes would knock another 10 pounds off. They suceeded in that so just left them with 51 pounds. Well it was one bad week on the ranch so they had the red line. No one voted off but the one under the red line was sent home. Francelena was sent home. I always wondered if she cut her hair if she would weigh less!!! As usual she looked wonderful at home. I love it how they are giving the sent home contestants a makeover and photo shoot. The teenagers are doing great to

doydie 02-20-2013 12:27 AM

No reality shows for me today. But I did read about the lady from that TLC show about the woman with all the kids and divorced her husband. i think her name is Kate Gossling or something. She is switching homes with another celebrity lady who has like one kid. I'm sure Kate will ahve a relaxing week but not the other lady. Crazy

doydie 02-21-2013 12:49 AM

Survivor back on tonight. Favorites won tonight. i wish the fans had voted that $%%^^^% marine off the island. He is awful. But they thought it better to break up a couple

I haven't watched American Idol yet. I will have to watch that tomorrow during the day before tomorrow nights show comes on.

doydie 02-23-2013 12:52 AM

I have now watched this weeks episodes of AI. There some front runners that were let go because they made bad choices of songs. There was one young guy that the crowd seemed to love but I thought was really nervous and didn't really sing very well. He was put through! Couldn't believe it. I was glad that the 'guy' who sort of had an identity crisis and din't know who he was was let go. I mean, he walked in high heels a lot better than I ever have.

doydie 02-28-2013 12:35 AM

Well they sent home my favorites tonight on AI. They seem to like the ones who as Simon Cowell said had 'vocal gymnastics'.

I chose to watch AI tonight instead of Survivor. WE go to MIL nusring home on Thursdays and I don't have the time to watch AI on my DVR before Thursdays episode comes on. So I know I have something to look forward to on my DVR!!!!

ABC announced the cast of DWTS this week. Should be interesting. I don't know the soap star or the comedians but I do know Kelly Pickler, Dorothy Hamill and the gymnast from last years Olympics. i think her name is Ally or Ali

Darlene 02-28-2013 03:10 AM

I also saw DWTS has listed their stars and professionals have been listed. The only other one I noticed was Wynonna Judd, wish it would of been here mother. I am looking forward to seeing Dorothy Hamill.
There are some new instructors coming in too.

doydie 03-01-2013 12:47 AM

Well I watched last nights episode of Survivor. I thought they were finally going to vote off the Marine. Instead they vote off a person that can help them win challenges instead of keeping the man who had trouble scaling the obstacle to get in the water.

doydie 03-04-2013 12:41 AM

Good episode of Amazing Race. I just love the father and son team. he hurt his leg last week, found out the damage tonight and now may have to made the gut wrenching decision to quit on his own.

The Apprentice started tonight. Sometimes I don't know why I watch it. Maybe it's so I can see Brett Micheals blue eyes and listen to Trace Adkins low voice. But Pierce Morgan was behind the table with Trump tonight and I really can't stand him. I don't think he is going to be there every week or I may have to reassess watching it.

doydie 03-05-2013 12:21 AM

I can't believe I didn't watch The Biggest Loser tonight. Some how I misread the TV schedule and thought American Idol was on. So if it's on tonight then there will be results on tomorrow night. I'm not sure if I can watch the show on my DVR during the day so I chose to DVR TBL and watch AI. So I have Fox on and it's Bones and The follower, both shows my husband likes to watch with me. Since most nights is him downstairs channel surfing and playing Wii and me upstairs watching TV I decided to have a family night and keep Fox on. Tuesday is usually the only nights we watch TV together so I will watch TBL tomorrow or sometime. It's make over week and I always enjoy that show. i like it that this season they do show a photo shoot of an eliminated contestant so you can see what their progress is. I wonder if they will include the kids in the makeovers????

Heidi Klum has signed up as the fourth judge on Americas got talent

doydie 03-07-2013 12:32 AM

I managed to watch Survivor and AI tonight!!! I am a proud reality show addict! I'm loving the guys this year. I don't know what the little guy was thinking putting a tank top and dancing all around the stage just yelling out his song. But he has been a likeable fellow so he might have a fan base. I do love the guy who stutters. I am hoping that if he goes to Hollywood that he will get a vocal coach. It seems like he handles things better tonight or maybe it's just that they are watching what they ask of him. But his voice is fantastic. And even though the worship leader doesn't have the kind of music I listen to, he sure has talent.

Survivor. Those poor fans, can not win. I'm glad Laura and the marine are gone though. I don't know what I wold have done if they had suceeded in voting out the good looking guy who is such a strong player. Wish I cold remember his name!

doydie 03-08-2013 12:50 AM

They announced the top 10 tonight on AI. They did it a lot different this year and I think I like it. I agree with almost all of them. It was neat to have them go through the door and the audience and judges didn't know who was going to be coming through and into the top 10. But the way it had been before was that the show started out with the top 20 and it got pared down to 10 which were the ones who went on tour. Some of the others were alternates but had already been on the show and the American public knew them and some were loved. this way any alternates will be relatively unknowns to the public. I had to laugh at Niki Manaj, I know I have her name mispelled but I do't care, when she came out she could hardly walk with her tight dress and sky high heels. Then they ahd them walk down this slope to get to their seats. Of course Marijah, her name is mispelled, her boobs were almost in that dress. My husbands eyes were not in his head.

SallyC 03-12-2013 06:30 PM

Hell's Kitchen is new tonight...8:00, if anyone is so inclined..:D

doydie 03-12-2013 11:44 PM

The regular season on the ranch ended last night on TBL. I don't know how they do it, lose 120 pounds in 11 weeks. I would lose 11 pounds in 11 weeks! But the do look great. I was so pleased Danni is one of the finalists. She reminds me so much of Lara of several seasons back where no one could stop her. It was good to see the kids. I am also glad they didn't show to much of the kids. I hope the girls look like they have lost a little more weight on the finale. The guy looks great but they all have made amazing transformations in their personal lives, or so they say.

Survivor is on tomorrow night and if the previews show anything we are in for a doozy. Batten down the hatches everyone

doydie 03-14-2013 12:10 AM

WOW, Survivor was a doozie tonight. I am sure glad that he is gone and the tribe made the right decision to not do the challenge and let the other tribe have the immunity. Jeff sure knew how to handle it though. Who knows what would have happened if he hadn't have taken him away from the tribe for the voting and discussion. So is the a merge next week or just a tribe remix???

Kind of worried about some of my favorites on AI. When they did the recap at the end you could really tell the difference in the confidence level of the ones who sang later. We'll see who goes home tomorrow night.

SallyC 03-14-2013 11:25 AM

Yeaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! The evil profit is gone...lol

NurseNancy 03-14-2013 01:49 PM

brandon made some good points BUT he brought it all on himself.
i'm glad he's gone and the tribe did make the right decision. hopefully the game will go on in the spirit to which it was intended.

i wonder what the real truth is concerning phillip? what does he really do?
i don't know if we'll ever find out.

doydie 03-14-2013 11:30 PM

I know that Jeff discussed it in the finale on the season Philip was on but I can't remember what was said. I'll do some research on that.

AI was a tear jerker tonight. I would never have guessed that Curtis would be the first one to go. Niki just made a pill of herself when she said she would go if he went and then she stood up when Ryan announced his name. I didn't expect either of those guys to be standing there.

SallyC 03-14-2013 11:42 PM

I watched AI for the first time tonight and most of
the ones that stayed didn't even come close to
Curtis' talent. Kinda makes me glad that I haven't
been watching it..

doydie 03-14-2013 11:57 PM

I use Wikipedia as a reference a lot. I know it's claim that you can not guaruntee anything there as thruth but thisis what it said about Phillip.
Sheppard was arguably best known for his bizarre behavior and erratic communication skills throughout the game. He continuously insisted that he was a former federal agent, but fellow participants such as former NFL player Steve Wright doubted Phillip’s claims.[6] At the finale, Jeff Probst spoke to a woman in the audience who claimed to have known Sheppard from her federal agent training to confirm beyond doubt that Sheppard was in fact a federal agent.[7]

doydie 03-21-2013 09:23 PM

Well I have been trying to keep up with my reality shows with Charlie in the hospital. I haven't been staying as late the last couple of nights. I got home last night and watched American Idol because with the results show on tonight I wanted to watch the competition. I thought they were all good. It ticked me that some of them had never even heard of the Beetles!!!! I was disapointed in the one illiminated.

I came home to do some errands today and had lunch at home. You can have a lot less calories when you get to go home than eat in a hospital cafeteria. So I put Survivor on. I so did not expect that guy to go home. I don't know what kind of hold Phillip has over either tribe. First of all his 'Favorites; tribe and now his new one. The one tribe seems to have all the big guns on it. They will be destined to win everything unless it requires some mental game.

I still haven't watched The Biggest Loser finale yet but I caught it on TV the next morning. But I like to watch the story of the journey.

doydie 03-22-2013 06:33 PM

Well today I watched The Biggest Loser. i had seen the winner on one of the morning talk shows. She did look fantastic. Most everyone looked fantastic. I enjoyed seeing the kids progress

doydie 03-28-2013 12:11 AM

OK, we have had Amazing Race, Celebrity apprentice, Dancing with the stars, American Idol and Survivor on this week.

I am so glad CBS posted a big apology about the Vietnam leg and the disrepect it showed our veterans and just the fact that we all had to listen to this communist song. It didn't benefit the players at all for us to get the words on the bottom of the screen. Always sorry to see a good team go home. I was so wishing for the country hicks to go home. They even thought that Botswana was in Australia!

I'm not sure the Donald wants to get rid of Amarosa or maybe she just has them so intimidated that they don't take her to the board room.

DWTS very good this week. So sorry to see Dorothy Hamill go home. But a back injury is serious and she was good enough to leave on her own free will rather than stick it out and have some one else go.

American Idol. I so loved the show tonight. I especially loved the blonde country girl sing her version of a Smoky Robinson song that she arranged herself when she was 14! She is so talented.

Survivor. Merge next week!!!! But they have few Fans left and it will be a battle of wits between the Favorites. I jsut wish Phillip would shut his mouth. At least he is wearing clothes this week.

doydie 03-28-2013 11:51 PM

Was really surprised to see the guy go off AI tonight. i know he has been in the bottom 3 each week and I'm not sure why. He really worked those judges hard for the use of the 'save' but they didn't go for it. But he was gracious and was appreciative for what they gave him. I can't remember the name of the guy who stutters, he was in danger and the mentor Jimmy thought he should go home.

SallyC 03-29-2013 01:14 PM

That guy could really sing, but he wasn't a teeny
bopper type of AI. Too bad.:(

doydie 04-06-2013 12:00 AM

I am so glad I ahve a DVR. I caught up on Amazing Race, Apprentice, Dancing with the stars, American Idol and Survivor!!!! i am so glad that Amarosa is gone! Now if Phillip would only join her

Koala77 04-13-2013 08:10 PM

Our Idol only started this week so I've been watching the American version in the meantime, and I just wanted to say how much I love Candice Glover's voice. They are so very talented to get this far, but I really hope Candice wins. That is if we are not so far behind that she's either been eliminated or it's already over.

doydie 04-13-2013 11:13 PM

Yes, she is extremely talented. But all of the remaining 5 are. Yeah, a female winner this year!!!

doydie 04-14-2013 11:15 PM

I was so proud of Gary Buse tonight on Apprentice. He was pretty level headed, finished product was good but still lost the challenge. He was also good in the board room. Amazing Race is on the DVR and will watch it later

Aarcyn 04-18-2013 02:45 PM

No doubt, last night's tribal moment is why I love this show. No matter how many seasons, there can always be a surprise. I did not anticipate this move by Malcolm. I was not exactly rooting for him this time around but now? The whole ending left me with a smile.

I like Cochran too. Did you see his reaction when Malcolm made the immunity move? You could tell he was living in the moment and appreciating it.

Yes, this was a great Survivor moment.

SallyC 04-18-2013 07:08 PM

I agree, Cyn, Loved it!!!!

doydie 04-18-2013 11:01 PM

I agree also Cyn. I also think that is what Jeff Probst lives for. The 3 men played that move well. And the best part is.......Phillip is gone after getting only 3 votes out of the whole group.

Aarcyn 04-19-2013 01:53 PM

I think Phillip got four votes. The three guys on the outs and Eric who wrote "Fillup." The editing on who wrote each name showed that.

Plus how very gross of Phillip to go into the pristine pool and have that trail of dirt. The overhead view was astounding.

At tribal council, I think very few living in the moment grasped how truly clever it was. Like I said, the look on cochrans face was epic. Jeff understood, Malcolm certainly did. Plus Eric got that the guys still needed to actually surrender the idols in order for immunity.

I wonder if an immunity idol will be hidden again.. Now that Phillip is gone, I wonder which players will have more air time. Did anyone catch Cochran walking away from a Phillip group meeting twirling his finger to intimate how crazy he considered Phillip?

doydie 04-19-2013 03:53 PM

I would like Cochran to win. He has studied the game, is not a recruit like so many of the players are.

SallyC 04-23-2013 11:12 PM

The best reason for watching DWTS last night is because it was
Stevie Wonder night and he never sang a song I didn't love..:)

SallyC 04-24-2013 11:59 AM

Anyone watching Splash? Good show. I love diving competitions.

Sparky10 04-24-2013 02:22 PM

I watch Splash. Good show. I particularly like the way the contestants are scored. It's as if they are competing against themselves. The scores are individualized and the judges are very fair.

doydie 04-24-2013 11:34 PM

Malcolm played a good game. I wish he could have won. But he was out witted. I'm glad they all got some protein in them.

I'm not sure who I think will go home tomorrow night on AI. The judges didn't like Cree. I don't think she sung well enough for the final four especially when all four of them are the caliber of singers they are.

Can't remember the name of the guy sent home last night on DWTS but it was time for him to go home. I think there are a lot of Bachelor fans out there voting for their guy or he might have been the one going.
