Plastic vitamin bottle=poison
 

Ok, so I just ordered more jarrow B12 and then I read this:

I really like this product, but was heartbroken when my last order arrived in PETE plastic bottles. This is scary and disheartening. I am going to remove my pills from the bottle when I get them and put in a jar. I don't know if it will help or not but not much I can do. :(

Any of you concerned about this?

It seems that lots and lots of vitamins, over the counter pills, prescription drugs, come in plastic bottles, beverages, etc. As far as I've read they are safe.

There are different kinds of plastic. Some are VERY toxic.

I realize that. Research shows that the PETE ones are safe.

I think that is still up for debate depending on what research you read/believe.

Wish they had just kept the glass bottles on this product, way better. I will still remove my pills, but it's a personal choice.

I think as long as you're not leaving the bottle in a hot spot, it should be safe, but there is always a risk keeping anything in any kind of "plastic". I myself keep a bunch of glass jars in my pantry that I transfer lots of grains and pasta to so I can keep them out of plastic.

This is the same kind of plastic they use to store drinking water in, and it's common knowledge that if you leave water in your car and it gets hot, you're supposed to throw the water out because it leaches into the water.

I haven't been able to fight this fight yet. Right now all I can do is try to keep out BPA as much as possible by canning my own food (because BPA is in the linings of canned food, especially tomatoes.) I rarely use the microwave, and when I do I only use glass or ceramic. One of these days I'll be able to replace all my plastic storage containers to glass.

Sounds good. Just a thought. Perhaps you should order from a different place. And yes, it is a personal choice.

I don't worry much about it at all. It could drive a person up the wall. JMO

I don't worry but I don't turn a blind eye either. I do what I can, when I can. ;)

I like the product so I will buy it and transfer it to a different container.

I have always looked at what kind of plastic but for some reason it slipped by my mind with my supplement containers. Time to be more conscience about that also.

It's only smart to be wise, but I don't waste much time on worry.
