Let's pray for Oklahoma City

Goofy, lives there. It's been hammered by a terrible tornado.
I hope we hear from her soon.:grouphug:

Hi Wren

Yes I will pray for those folks in Oklahoma. Just saw the pictures. My home state is Missouri, and I felt for the people of Joplin the same way. God bless all those involved with rescue. ginnie

It all looks really shocking.

I also hope Goofy and her family and friends there are alright. The weather news I just watched an hour or so ago from NBC showed some really weird weather patterns right across the USA. Sounds as if there's more tornadoes on the way.

Keep safe everyone.

i hope you dont mind me just talking for a little bit.... this has hit to close to home. i lived in moore in a trailer park that was demolished by this tornado.....
I have several friends who has lost everything. i taught school in Moore for 11 years before Scott was born. I'm having a very hard time wrapping my head around all this....

the images you see on the news is nothing compared to seeing it up close. there are whole neighborhoods reduced to toothpick size piles.... They are still looking for survivors.

i went this morning to check on my moms house as Scott is in Tennessee and wans't there, and you have to drive right through the worse hit area. i cried the whole way there and the whole way back....

i dont have the words to describe my feelings right now. I wish there was something i could do to help, but for now all we can do is pray. as i'm typing this there is another storm headed for this exact same area.... no tornadoes but a lot of rain. sigh...

:Sob:

Dear Lara

Hi Lara, you don't have to live in Oklahoma to cry over this storm. I felt awful watching it on TV. I feel so sorry for all the survivors, and grieve the loss of life. I live in a hurricane zone, I have seen devistation in Holmstead florida like that. It always is sad. Please stay safe, and evcuate if you must. Lots of my neighbors are praying for your area too. ginnie:hug::grouphug::(

praying

We are praying for you and your family. I pray that God will provide a. Sense of peace and comfort to your town. My favorite Bible verse is Phil 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Stay safe

Lara 05-22-2013 02:23 AM

 Goofy, when I saw it on the news and saw the map I realized how close you are. Having had our share of natural disasters here in the not so distant past I know that these events can have really serious impacts on our emotional well-being. This I truly do know. I hope that you are able to get some sleep tonight and in the nights to come and that you are not running on empty there. Come here and talk when you feel you want to do that. Don't bottle it all inside. You have enough to worry about and we're always here to listen.

ginnie 05-22-2013 06:42 PM

Hi all,

I just saw a clip about joplin MO. two years later, and the re-building is fantastic. They are coming back! The people of Oklahoma will come back too stronger than ever. The people coming in to help is what makes me have faith in humanity again. God bless all. ginnie

Lara 05-28-2013 05:30 PM

Keep safe Goofy! Keep safe everyone. Lots of weather happening over your way.

FeelinGoofy 05-29-2013 08:53 AM

today is suppose to be another tornado day for our area.... we sure dont need it.... i've been helping friends clean up from the tornado. its just overwhelming..... that thing really was a mile wide.... it was so hard to wrap my head around it. a mile wide swirling mass of destructive wind. on a more positive note, there are hundreds of people from other states..... I met one person from Indiana, the other day who came down just to help. made me think of my friends here from Indiana and reminded me that no matter where we live, no matter if we've actually met in person or not..... WE are still family. :) love you guys...

Alffe 05-29-2013 11:44 AM

Love you too Goofy....how like you to be there helping. Be safe..looks like it isn't over yet.
