Getting my denture Tuesday!
 

Just thought I'd check in and share the good news, I think my gums swelling has come down enough I can get one made now! :D I'll be sure to post a photo of my new smile once I've got them made Tuesday. I'll post here in this thread. ♥ you all! :hug: :grouphug: ;)

Thanks everyone! I can't stop thinking about this, I decided to get one that will be better then the one I could get made in a day so I won't have it until next Thursday, but I HOPE it will be worth it! :D I'll be so happy when I have it in my mouth! ;)

I am sure it will be worth it, and only a few extra days. So happy Pam!

Thanks Mari! I get them Thursday afternoon! I picked out a gorgeous color for them that matches my bottom teeth, and my X-ray (whole mouth panoramic) revealed some bone loss on the side where I first lost teeth, but I kinda knew that, he was awesome. Very nice about setting me up and his staff were very efficient.

I got to try them out in wax and they made some adjustments to the part that will be acrylic and so it's going to be better in the long run. Also he said my bottom teeth look GOOD still and to hang onto them for as long as I can because bottom dentures are miserable. And that's about what I've heard from other people.

So excited! I'll be sharing a pic or two Thursday afternoon so I am really looking forward to that, I was lucky and had GREAT suction even on the wax trial thing, so that too was very encouraging! :D Also it didn't make me gag, so that too was awesome! :D

Awesome isn't it? And I only had to have one adjustment and was on my merry way singing def leppard tunes and I sound pretty much the SAME! Not having difficulty talking either! It's awesome! :D

Thank you so much Bobby & Mari! I am so happy it's not funny! I was able to eat too!! :D I feel so liberated! When I went into a winn dixie after getting them in my mouth, I was smiling at people and NO ONE looked at me weird! It was AWESOME to blend IN again!!! I felt so free! :D
