Who was that guy?

YEARS ago there was a guy on this site...well maybe the old site. Back in the days of Grassman Mike.

He had a harsh sense of humor and wrote some stuff about being diagnosed with MS and how it feels to have MS.

Does anyone remember what his name is?

He wrote a really good summary of how to explain to someone what MS symptoms felt like and had a really good way of explaining it.

My scooter has a multiplesclerosissucks.com bumper sticker, from him.

SallyC 06-30-2013 12:25 PM

This is mainly what he does now.

http://about.me/ianparberry

He isn't even on FB any more.

I don't think that is the Grassman I remember from Neurotalk.

It's not Grassman. Totally different person. Grassman is deceased now.

We're talking about Ian Parberry.:)

Ahhh I just re-read it, "back in the days of Grassman".

Ooops, thanks for clearing that up. I was thinking to myself that young man is a cutie and has an impressive resume but I don't think he was Grassman.

Did he use a monikor that I might remember or just his name which doesn't even ring a bell?

karilann 07-02-2013 09:46 AM

Sally, thanks! I found some of his old stuff.

Since Mike aka: Grassman was brought up, lets give him a shout out too.

Miss you Mike!

SallyC 07-02-2013 10:45 AM

Not at BT but he did use a moniker of ?Harry Bergamon? and
used an Ostridge Avatar.

ANNagain 07-02-2013 11:09 AM

Harry Bergeron.

And he did use it on the forum you mention. As I remember (always dubious) Ian left for a good while and then came back incognito as HB. This was before he left again and started the now defunct MS Sucks.

Hey Ian Parberry, come out, come out wherever you are!

Those were some good times.:)

I loved reading Grassman's posts. They almost always made me smile. My favorite was when he put a mattress up for sale and added "only slightly pee-soaked" (or something similar) as a selling point!:D What a terrific sense of humor.

SallyC 07-02-2013 11:35 AM

Right Ann, thanks for helping my memory out here..:D

ANNagain 07-02-2013 04:29 PM

Hello 4-eyes.:)

Grassman and Ian (aka Harry) were 2 different people. OK, maybe Ian could be counted as more than one.

Yep, I know. I was just responding to the request to give a "shout out" to Grassman.:) He was one of a kind!

I miss him! I loved his site and would refer to it often when I was cruising down "DeNile." :D I loved his sense of humor as well as his honesty. It was a great site.

if he will be adding anything more (I hope so), or anwering our

& Friends, to see the cynical but true side of MS.

I've bookmarked it, Thanks:hug:

Erin's link brings you to his old site and has lots of information, some of it really funny. I'm so sad he took that site down.

The link that Jane posted is a newer site with just a few essays.
