My Service Dog Monty

Hi, it's been awhile since I've posted. I have been visiting and reading posts.

As a lot of you know, I have a wonderful SD named Monty. Three weeks ago, the vet found a mass in one of his **** glands. The following week, he performed surgery. The biopsy was apocrine adenocarcinoma of the **** sac. Dr. Finkler was unable to remove all of the cancerous tumor. I opted for no radiation or chemo. His vet said that his prognosis is a little over a year, but of course we're hoping for much more time with Monty.

Please keep him in your thoughts. We have been partners for 5 1/2 years, and I can't imagine him gone from our lives.

Thanks.

OH (((((MaryAnn))))) and (((((Monty))))).
May the Lord be with you all. I remember when you got
him. We named him our Mascot and he will forever be.:hug:
I love that dog and I will pray for many non-suffering happy
years for him to come.

Prayers for Monty and for you, Mary Ann. He'll more than likely do better without all the invasive treatments. Sometimes our furry friends prove the medical community all wrong when it comes to their health. I'm praying Monty will do just that. :smileypray:

I'm so sorry to hear about Monty! He has been a good companion to you. I will keep you both in my prayers.:hug:

So sorry. But he knows he has been loved, adored and you are a companion to him just as much as he is to you.

Sorry to hear about your buddy. I'm sending my best healing vibes, and hope he defies the prognosis!

I'm sorry to hear about Monty but he may very well surprise you; going on to live a healthy and happy life. Enjoy each day as I'm sure he will while he is with you; as we all keep him and you in our thoughts and prayers.

With love, Erika

I'm so sorry about Monty. :( I hope that he makes a miracle turnaround and defies the diagnosis and will be with you for a long time. Even if that doesn't happen though, I know you and he will enjoy the rest of your time together. :hug:

MaryAnn

I was so deeply saddened to hear Monty has cancer. I pray you and he are able to get thru this as peacefully and happily as possible. Facing the eventual loss of a service dog is somehow extra, extra sad. I send wishes for plenty of good times and a lifetime of additional happy memories. Monty has been your faithful friend and "right hand" - I am positive you will do everything in your power to make his reamining days as comfortable & peaceful as possible. {{{hugs Monty & Maryann}}}
