I just took a quick look through and saw that you posted here a while back too... you were commenting I think on rest helping you with mania and depresion, so I take it you are bipolar?

sleep issues with bp aspect

am off and on w this, mostly ok, when things are not triggering. Have set of coping skills and tools which I can talk about over time. Just wish I'd do better when things are not routine or triggering. I know that can be a tough issue for anyone. Take care and be well!:)

Hi again

There you are, Anne!

Thanks for sharing a bit with us, and it's good to see you! :):hug:

It is precisely those "non-triggered" episodes which are a real challenge with Bipolar... they can just hit out of the blue. When it happens fast, it is hard to know what hit you, too. We all struggle with that -- you are not alone.

Yes, it is as you surmised about Bizi's sig pic... sad tale. :o Bizi has other kitties though... we have a thread somewhere with her kitty pix, I'll see if I can find it. :)

I myself *looooooove* cats, but I have been in a kitty-deprived state for longer than I care to recall... d/t home situation being unsuitable for a cat. :(

have a great day!

waves

anneo59 08-21-2013 08:37 AM

back at ya, love kitties, too but

there was a time I couldn't keep them either. Have two cats and a dog, and they are my babies now as my three boys are grown, and no grandkids yet. But a lovely little greatniece, but don't get to see her much. Yes, as far as BP episodes, it does help to remember I'm not by myself here. Doing ok today tho and wishing you the best, today!:D

lovely family, thanks Waves

Yes indeed, Waves, furbabies love one unconditionally, but I also do have a very nice human family and some good friends, tho of course, there are issues, as with anyone. Blessed, I think! If I manage health and bipolar, others seem to enjoy me more and I enjoy them, as well. As well as being helpful. But animals just love ya! Got three sweet granddogs I keep too, now and then, and a beautiful greatniece. Middle son and his wife trying to start family. You take care now!

I can understand sometimes one can't keep pets, been there myself. You are so right about BP triggers. I'll look for Bizi's cat thread as well. Take care, my friend!:D

Thanks all, I do consider myself blessed! Just want to

manage BP and other health challenges better so I am not such a burden, seems that way sometimes. I've been on the other side of this too, so I know how it goes. It's really ok. Some of you all can prob relate, one way or the other. Thanks, and you all have a lovely day!:grouphug:

anneo59 09-19-2013 09:40 AM

hi, yes in need of some prayers and well wishes, as well

as BP cycling issues, we have a lot of family and personal issues now, and going thru some really tough times. But I think I'll be ok. Just lots of difficult stuff to deal with right now and don't feel like doing anything. And feeling sad and lonely as well. . . and worthless, though I know some of this is mental health issues. But it will pass. Best to all!

:(

for the reminder, Bizi. It is often small things that help us to get thru to seeing a purpose. I call them life's tender mercies, such as getting sweet notes from friends. You take care!

my darling cat Sweetie has passed on

We lost our long time family member, Sweetie, recently. A very difficult time. We had her ten years and she was already grown, so we don't know how old she was. Fortunately, she went fast, even before we could get her to the vets! And we were all with her. Really bittersweet when she left. She began to really suffer, so we were glad she was out of pain. We will never forget her. She's with us still, in our backyard. No icon really fits here. Maybe

Hello Anneo

I am sorry for your loss. Having all of you next to her, was the greatest gift you could have given her. The pets we come to know, are part of our families. Sweetie was well loved. ginnie:grouphug:

Yes, thankfully, we have another cat named Kenny, so that helps as well as our dog Cleo. Both have seemed traumatized as well, especially Kenny, so we are working with them on it. Thanks and take care and I appreciate your sharing! It was hard to move her food and water bowls and I often am ready still, to call her, but it is getting better!!! With time!
