Thunder and Lightning
 

This morning, in Connecticut, we are experiencing some storms. There is brilliant lightning and pounding thunder. This reminded me of a story I heard when I was just a kid.

There once was a lady who had MS. She had decided to take a bubble bath before retiring for the night. As she was sitting in her wheelchair right next to the tub, pouring in her bath salts, there was a huge near-by lightning strike. It hit her roof, ran down the plumbing stack, and electrified her tub, along with her wheelchair, which was apparently touching the tub. She got quite an electric zap. Then she discovered that the jolt had suddenly put her into a full remission.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a bubble bath to tend to.

I've heard of that before....a shock "resetting" your body. I'm too scared to try it but it'd be wonderful if it really worked safely.

Speaking of lighting. This is kind of off topic but I had to share with you.

Last night there must have been some lighting out over the ocean, we are only about .5 crow miles from the ocean.

There was a thick fog from there to here. I was sitting on my front swing with my DH talking with a friend and my DH and I saw the fog in the sky flicker! I thought it was just my eyes :o It happened a few times while we were out there. It had to have been lightning, but it wasn't bright! It was like the flickering a florescent bulb does sometimes. But it was only slightly brighter than what the fog was at that point.

It was odd.

Yes, I've, also, heard of that happening. Gee, I haven't had
a bubble bath in a long time and we have storm warnings....

It's alive!!!

For some of us, our symptoms began after a shock to our bodies or to our psyche. Such a thing could just as easily take it all away, at least temporarily. Years ago I communicated with a woman in Alabama whose worst symptom was incredible pain. She left her house headed to a doctor appointment. Next thing she knew she was on the other side of town, had hit another car head-on, everyone walked away unhurt, and her pain was gone. It stayed gone for years and was never as bad again.

Lightning or head-on collision...hmm...I'll keep my symptoms!

her brain, it was such a mess.

her walk, it did wobble
her speech, it was garbled

there once was a lady with MS!

Loved the story. Yesterday I was on the beach and watched the storm come in, left for the lightening, I think today I will stick around. If a shock could put me into some remission it would be worth it! (not really) ginnie:hug:

I've been indirectly hit by lightning twice, long long before MS. Did it cause my MS? Who knows. :confused:
