This bloody progression!

Just felt like yelling that out loud. Lately, it's becoming the focus of all my choices and activities (if you'd call it that). I'm struggling with decisions and what-ifs about everything. Ugh! I know better, but it's winning and I'm not ready to lie down and take it!

Rant over. Thank you.

Snoopy 05-17-2007 11:46 AM

Frustrating isn't it *sigh*

OK.... I need to get a little serious here... One day at a time AMN!
There are no shoulda, coulda, woulda's or what if's!! You are doing the best you can right now.... It's not what you would have chosen, but you are dealing w/it...

Sometimes it's just so much easier being stronger when it involves other people's problems... Just remember that your problems are a priority and they are very real... Change is not always good! Whoever said it was, is wrong.....

First of all, AMN did you read that, I quoted it just in case you might want to read it again, DM said "I need to get a little serious here"...

Pay attention to her she makes a good point!

Oh, fer the love of Pete (whoever the heck that guy is). I'm fine, it just ticks me off when my mind thinks I should make all these great plans and my body just laughs at me. It mocks me. I hate it.

So, I ordered the new water skis anyway. Hm.

Great! We can go water skiing when you come out here! One ski or two? I'm jazzed. Maybe I can pull you behind my airplane. Wouldn't that be cool. DM's jealous, I can tell. I can feel it all the way out here.

:p

A set! One is slalom, one straight so we can do both. It'll be like old times.

Carp, I just remembered that last time I ever water skied; let's just call it a cold water enema and leave it at that. Flygirl, it's high time you learned to water ski!!:D

Sandshoe 05-18-2007 08:19 AM

Hmm snow skiing season is approaching in Australia, I was looking foward (as were my kids) to it this year, couldn't get there last year and bang my 2 yearly relapse seems to have arrived! I only remembered today this it has been two years since I was left with my last set of leftover symptoms, sheesh, my trip down river denial just came to a screaming holt - perhaps you can send some of that whisky across the seas!!

AfterMyNap 05-18-2007 08:26 AM

I hear ya' Sandshoe.

*pushing a double shot over to SS*

I had to give up snow skiing about 9 years ago, it was just ridiculous of me to try even then, but it had been such a passion of mine, I couldn't just let go of it.

So your attacks are whoppers like mine? It soooo cramps my style!

DM 05-18-2007 08:37 AM

Hi Sandshoe!!! Maybe we can get Flygirl to pull us on a toboggan behind her plane... I get the front.....:D But, if I have a little R & C, then I'll let you drive....

AM not jealous Cheryl!!!

*why does Pete like "her" better than me??* :Bang-Head:

doydie 05-18-2007 11:12 PM

I haven't got on a roller coaster since dx 10 years ago. And I'm going to this summer!!!!!!!!! There's this family owned theme park here in southern Indiana called Holiday World. It has 2 of the worlds largest wooden roller coasters. It has two other ones also. But I'm going. Oh, they also have unlimited free soft drinks and sun block.

Curious, since I don't drink, your martini glass loked like a big bowl of chocolate pudding! I will take a double on that.

Ahem. I know how to water ski. Whatever gave you the idea I didn't know how? I've been water skiing since I was 15. :p

And I can even land an airplane on the water, on purpose!

Oh, Doydie! I love roller coasters way too much! I can't deal with anything that goes in circles or those swing things, but when I go to any amusement park, I go from roller coaster to roller coaster only. Love 'em!

Lately, I've discovered that I have to recuperate from every ride, but I'd still do it. Have a blast!

FlyFishin Momma 05-21-2007 05:47 AM

speakin of roller coasters....

This was not yet open on AMN"s last visit here but if it had been I sssoooo would have drug her bootie on it......

DM 05-21-2007 07:13 AM

Hi Kay! Now that's a roller coaster!! Nope, not for me tho... I don't even like to swing... I get dizzy!:) :Crazy 2:

AWWWWWWEEEE, I love that avatar! Hi, FFM!

We wanted to go on that one in Branson but they weren't open yet for the season, I was so disappointed. I'd bet it would be me draggin' you on there, FFM! I'll just have to come down again when it's open!

DM, rollercoasters are way better than circles and swings! You would be addicted if you gave them a chance. I'm not so sure that I could get out of one anymore, but there would be no hassle getting me onto one.:D

SallyC 05-21-2007 10:36 AM

The only Roller Coaster I've ever been on is the Baby Coaster at Kings Island, when Daughter was 6. It was just my speed and I loved it......but.....not enough to go on the big one. Dear Husband agreed..:D

The next year DD and Friend went on the BIG one while we chickens watched in horror.

I love your avatar too, FFM and the pic of you and AMN is terrific...thanks for sharing.:)

LOL, careful, Sal. We've only seen each other five times in our whole lives but we have a ton of pics. FFM might just get carried away here!

Funny thing about me and rollercoasters, I get off feeling sick but I love it enough to get back on. It's sick, I know.

A few years ago, a friend and I took her sons to DisneyLand and they got seriously addicted to my privelege of bypassing lines. They tried to kill me!

FlyFishin Momma 05-21-2007 03:10 PM

I beg to differ.......

Ha! LOL, you needed discipline! I recall being rather moist myself!

Let's not talk about how long it took to get out or how scared I was.

It was fun and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

You boarded that vessel like a pro.....I was there you ain't foolin me..... lol lol

Riverwild 05-21-2007 05:55 PM

Poking Char heah...

Methinks it may be time to set up a meet and greet on the river here in God's country. I can get a boat and all the gear no cost, we can do the Kennebec so no delicate bones get hurt, strap in a cooler and some lunch ( guess what the cooler's for?...:p ) and take these old girls down through the rapids so I can hear them scream in delight while holding on for dear life as I scream maniacally...PADDLE!!!! ..all while wetting my pants laughing.

Cindy...I have no words for your original thread start except to pass you the bottle of the maple sugar liquor I picked up in NH. Trust me, it burns in a very good way and truly makes one feel better, if only for awhile. You know we are all sitting here holding your hand and muttering...even if some of us are saying SNAP OUT OF IT!!!

AfterMyNap 05-21-2007 06:04 PM

Thanks, RW, it's not my way to whine, I just get so bloody angry about this crap. My newest trick is to fall back onto the tolilet or back into a chair. My time, she's a tickin'.

My rapids experiences tell me that I'd get on a raft in any river with the likes of you broads, if only to get the laughs!

I'm super mad at myself for not having the camera out when the Duck boat hit the water just off a boat ramp. Kay's face was priceless! I'd travel many miles to see that look again, you can bet on it.

How was the shower trip??

Riverwild 05-21-2007 06:11 PM

Hiya Cin!

The shower trip was fun. Verra fancy for the likes of a Mainah like me, all crystal and flowers and candles and the canape luncheon with all the leetle candies and treats that followed. Some of them were almost too pretty to eat!! We struggled through them anyway...:p

As usual I am burning the candle at both ends, got back last night just in time to go to work, slept all day, caught up with mail and boards and am now on my way to work!!! I had to stop and post on you though :D

Counting down til Thursday and having a 5 day weekend!!!

I am taking the laptop to work tonight and maybe I will get some time to actually catch up with all of you!!!

Here's hoping all my little darlings sleep well!

And as to the river.anytime Babe~!!!

AfterMyNap 05-21-2007 06:15 PM

Cool. Now get to work, we'll look for ya' later.

How many bon-bons did you hijack in the name of helping clean up??

Riverwild 05-22-2007 01:52 AM

Hehehe...I was ok with the chocolate covered strawberries...both light and dark chocolate.

But then there were these little cream puffs with blueberries in them...and then there were the chocolate truffle thingies...and these scones with clotted cream.

I was still ok with them...but the little baby cheesecakes and the anisette cookies and the tiny spongecakes with the layers of chocolate and cream... they sent me over the edge.

It was like someone started an engine... I was sneaking around and snitching cakes and puffs and truffles after people turned their backs on me...LOL...It was like smokin' I tell ya...one was NOT enough!!

When they bought in the tea and little jars of honey and tiny lemon wedges.. they tried to take away the desserts. I had to hold my stepsister back, she was chasing the trays.

Fortunately I am bigger and faster and I was able to trip her and get to them first....:p

LMAO! Why can I form a vivid mental cartoon of this!?! Those little finger foods are fun, aren't they? The variety always makes me feel guilty if I don't at least try one of each.:o

I try to avoid the platters of dainty sweets, but they're all so tiny! What can it hurt?? I was at a thing once where they served these savory tarts, some lamb, some veal, crab, etc... I was stuffed well before dinner and could barely nibble on my prime rib. I was so mad at myself because that's one of my favorite dinners. Ugh, my self-control can go so far out of whack sometimes! As luck would have it, this was a summer gathering and I had no way of stashing my leftovers in my clothes! LOL!!
