One of the unrecognised side effects of RSD

If Zombies ever invade they can walk faster than me, for longer than me and as I am physically unable to drive I'm screwed

tos8 03-04-2014 12:35 PM

Same here! Im not gonna be able to use some cool martials arts sword like michonne uses on the walking dead, because my arms don't go higher then my waist and there to weak! Im not gonna be able to drive a motorcycle or even a car because ive had RSD so long ive never even gotten my license, so I would most likely wreck and just hurt me in the process, ya know since the walkers cant be hurt lol. And I certainly CANT run! Especially out in the woods in the middle of know where! And I don't tolerate much weather. So all the way around im screwed. And forget about basic survival skills, I have none! Its a possibility I could blend in as one, especially since on any given day I probably look worse then a walker.

Hello. Smack a heavy load of RSD on top of a massive stroke.

moosey2me 03-04-2014 08:36 PM

just not easy having rsd in many ways..I now take 5 different meds..I have to say morphine is helping the pain the best so far,but makes me cloudy..

Hana 03-05-2014 07:02 AM

Treatments for RSD caused more RSD... a long break from some RSD in my arm became a nightmare when permanent symptoms arrived; my muscles started wasting, bone loss, contractures and I have further invsaion into my chest and side pain from. surgery sites feels as new as it just happened..
I developed fibro/polymyalgia and chronic fatigue----cannot seem to escape and as much as I curse, am so grateful you are here to share experience without judgement and have care in return...
Might you all have less pain today

Kev, I have a plan. If the zombies come, I will just take a couple of pills and they will think I am one of them. Zombies don't attack other zombies, right?

They don't! I just relised you two are in the UK, do you have the walking dead tv show or comic books? The tv show is AWESOME! Its why I made my reference about the martial arts sword the 1 character carries. And there called "walkers" on there not zombies.

I hear ya,
I'm restricted from driving due to sezures at anytime. In a wheelchair because walking is too painful and the part of my brain that controlls motor skills (Cerebellum) is shrinking. AND full body CRPS to boot!
Sooooooooo screwed!!

Adalaide 03-05-2014 05:39 PM

I'm right handed and my left hand is my affected hand so I think so far I'm good. I can hole up somewhere and just shoot them. As long as my trigger hand is ok, I'm ok. That's my plan and I'm stickin to it. My luck I'll hurt myself trying to operate a shot gun and just turn into a zombie snack lol!

The weather is just stupid crazy.....71 one day and 44 the next. I see y'all keep getting snow in one storm after another. We had snow (which we enjoyed) and then 2 weeks later an ice storm (not so much fun).

When the walking dead rise y'all come on down to GA and we'll get us a compound set up. It's the only show me and the husband watch together. Just love it. Even before I knew the neighbor worked for the set. Jake is such a great guy and lots of fun to talk to. The grandkids just love to listen to him talk about the set. He'll bring home a zombie finger or hand to show them. I looked out my kitchen window one day and saw one of the tables that sat under the outside shelter/kitchen at the prison on my neighbor's driveway....too funny. And the ultimate......he brought home some #2 boards from the set and let my son have some.....he build a chicken coop with them ! Man we had a lot of fun talking about the walking dead chicken coop :)

Thanks for taking the pain away for awhile :)

Debi
