Praying for our friend
 

DaisyMay's ("DM") mom is quite ill and I'd be grateful for any prayers for the comfort and peace of these two special ladies.

It's done! :grouphug: For DM and Mom. This is one special lady (the whole family is) and they need all the support we can give them right now. My heart is breaking for what this lady is going through.

DM - I am there in a heart beat. Hugs to you and a prayer for Mom.

I haven't heard from her, so I'll call her this evening. I'm worried too, I hope and pray things are going as well as possible.

Hi all, I just spoke briefly with DM and got more news that is not good. Mom was experiencing labored breathing yesterday and had an X-ray that showed a lung tumor the size of a golfball. DM said that Mom had an X-ray 2 months ago that showed nothing; this demonstrates an aggressive growth. They do not know whether this is a different cancer or some version of metastasis.

I sense that our little DM is in a state of overdrive that is somehow buffering the hurt and frustration. Continued prayers are the very best gift we can offer these two ladies.

She will know more tomorrow when additional tests have been analyzed.

I don't know DaisyMae, but I'm very sorry to hear such news. Please know that she and her family are in my heart and prayers, now and always.

DM just called back, she's quite exhausted, and I can hear it in the poor girl's voice.

She especially wanted me to thank you all for your prayers and support and to express her deep affection for each of you.

Awwwww poor thing. This is so hard. Sending extra prayers for strength.:hug:

Chris, she is a dynamic woman full of energy, good will, and humor. When we get her back, you will be sucked right in just as we.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU all for your prayers and special thanks to AMN for this thread.. It's amazing how much strength can be pulled from your posts..... I soooo appreciate places like NT, where everyone has either been where I'm at now or has experienced something very similar.

I am mourning the thought of losing someone I love very much.....

Mom will be starting radiation Thurs...for pain relief only. The outlook is very bleak, but they feel this treatment is very effective in pain control and that is our hope...keeping her comfortable..

For those of you who already know me, I think you are awesome....

For those of you who are not familiar w/me, I can't wait to get to know you better, as I know you are all awesome people too.

I think this post summed up why we think the world of DM. Always thinking of others. Hope your mom gets some needed relief - and please try to take care of you too - you know she'd want you to.

DM is truly one of a kind.

DM take care of yourself and give Mom and big hug (gently) for me. Let her know that I am thinking about her and you, too.

I have been where you are now.

Hi all, I just spoke to DM and she's holding up so well. I'm really proud of her, she's leaning on her faith and is showing a tremendous strength.

Mom had a heart scare early this morning but it was stabilzed in CCU where she remains tonight.

Mom's mind is very sharp and her doctors will treat her pain with radiation so that she might enjoy as much quality time with her family as possible.

Please continue to pray for our little friend and her family, there is nothing easy about any of this.

DM.......laugh,love,live and make memories.....
tell stories and relive old times......put a smile on her face and feel the warmth of her hand, see the glow in her eyes and know the love in her heart.

She is and forever will be your mother.......
and you her daughter. I know this may very well feel like the worst times in your life........just take it one day at a time.

Our shoulders will still be here if you need us my dear friend.

Once again, Cindy, thanks for the update. My heart just breaks for DM but I know she is hanging tough and has so many good friends holding her up.

We may not be there physically, but we are there in spirit.

Thanks for the update. Dm and family are getting a rare chance to say all those things that some don't.

Hi all, Mom is stable today and had her first radiation for pain management.

Her sister and some of DM's cousins came to the hospital today and they all had a wonderful time remembering the good old days. DM sounded the best she has since all this started.

Auntie and other family will tend to Mom this evening so that DM and Mr. DM can take a little time away with friends.

All in all, a pretty blessed day.:)

I was just about to send you a private message to ask how they were doing. I'm glad they are able to spend some quality time together with family, and hope that DaisyMae is not getting to weary. Please tell her a friend she doesn't even know is thinking and praying for her, and her Mum the next time you speak.

DM......My heart is still with you sweetie......

Sending some flowers from my garden too! These are my voodoo roses. The bush is about 8 feet tall!

Mom had a fairly uneventful day and lots of relatives are coming in which allows DM some time at home. She sounds tired, but quite good today.

Thinking of you DM and hoping you're having a restful weekend.

I haven't heard from DM today, and with all the family in town, I hope no news means that everything is the same, or better.

Thanks for being here, everyone, I know how much DM appreciates it; I appreciate it immensely myself.

I heard from DaisyMay today and learned that the cancers are especially aggressive. Mom is now on a morphine drip and DM is staying overnight at the hospital with her. Thank you all so much for your prayers and well wishes, both DM and Mom have very much appreciated it.

We are now on "no news is good news" so I don't anticipate the daily updates. Please help me continue lifting these women up in prayer.

This is the hard part and there is no easy way. Most of us have been through this and understand what DM and Mom are dealing with right now.
