not doing well
i don't know what happened but cecilia stopped ringing my bell to go for walks.
i wrote her to ask if she just preferred going to central park and that i understood. what a gap it leaves in my small life. i can't yet seem to force myself to take a walk by myself. my rent is also going up significantly. i made the decision and i hope it was the right one. before it was frozen but i was afraid down the way i would go above the income level because i have to start using my annuity. I finally sold some stock. I have also been getting stomach aches and a lot of times i feel dizzy and have loss of balance after getting up.It doesn't happen all the time but it happens with frequency. tomorrow i hope to force myself to go to a chabad class for over fifties. the rabbi is said to be very wise.I am not good with change. my world has gotten so small. bobby |
Oh Bobby,
I'm so sorry about Cecilia... did she answer you to let you know what was up? The feeling dizzy and losing balance when you get up sounds like orthostatic hypotension -- a transient, rapid drop in blood pressure that happens with rapid change in posture, usually when getting up too fast. Be cautious to sit up/ stand up very slowly -- we don't want you falling. A doctor should check to make sure nothing else is going on. Also, I think you are taking bp meds also, right? It's possible the dosage simply needs adjustment (up OR down), and this would be important, so do please call the doctor. waves |
I hope Cecelia starts ringing the door again. Is it possible she
hasn't been able to take the dogs. Because of her own health. Really hate reading your feeling so bad. Donna:hug: |
Bobby,
Waves is probably right about the dizziness. THe chabad class will be good. Mari |
I am sorry that you are not feeling well.
hope she calls or writes you back, I think she will. bizi |

the dizziness doesn't happen when i first rise but a few minutes afterwards.
i had my bp taken a month ago and it was 120 over 80 which is good. I take bp medicines. it hasn't happened in the last couple of days. i am under so much stress and have been so depressed. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. cecilia didn't answer me. i did have an exchange with her. she doesn't have an account at ebay so i sometimes buy things for her.she liked the articles and told me she liked my hair twice and that was it love bobby Quote:

I'm so glad you went. Good going. :):hug: waves |
I am so happy for you!
How many were there you might meet one or two of them before or after to talk to, new friend? bizi |
there were about seven or eight people. i already knew one man who told me about it and i knew a woman by sight who sometimes goes to the senior center.
i really want to meet the usual rabbi. I have never been close to a rabbi and tend to have avoided them throughout my life. this is a first. i am still so depressed, especially about cecilia. I was so dependent on her. bobby |
maybe she did not get your email, could you text her? does she ever communicate that way?
sorry bobby (((((HUGS)))) bizi |

He didn't feel well either right before his TIA, that and the off feeling standing we learned were signs of the TIA. (He does take BP med since this?) Hope it is nothing but a bug or stress but keep a eye. Gosh on the doctors last week I saw they said to take ...brain fog, not bran, a roughage , dang brain!, every morning because if under stress it messes with nerves in intestines and make you feel better. Hugs di |

This always needs to be reported to a doc if the cause is unknown, but it's even more important when on BP meds. During the summer, if there are dietary changes, or if other precipitating conditions change, the meds can have a greater effect than desired. Quote:
In the meantime, if it is still happening, try getting up very slowly and not doing anything too vigorous (walking, raising arms) in the first couple minutes after getting up. waves |

I didn't understand the last part of your message about brain fog. i suffer from constipation and i thought it was because of welbutrin. what a pain and worry. thanks again bobby |
I will take your advice. I usually get up slowly anyways to lift myself up off the futon. I have to use my hands on the floor to do it.
I haven't had it in the past week i don't think. I keep waiting for it to occur but it hasn't. I still feel stressed about cecilia and not walking which i have to force myself to do. I do enjoy spending more time in bed in the morning though.....lazy? I am still obsessing about selling the stock and having my rent go up about 250 a month. I am definitely looking forward to wednesday when i hope to meet the rabbi. I will try to find out what parsha he will be reading by checking on the net. Last week's was on the net. If i have TIA i wonder what i can do. I am trying to lose weight but i am three pounds over my low weight which is quite heavy. I started eating more salads. I plan to go to the senior center all the time because of my isolation. love bobby Quote:

i took my bp a few times on a cheap monitor and it jumped around a bit. the second number was usually 60 but before it was 80. I don't know if it was because of the cheap machine or what.
bobby |
Bobby, hi. Did you have more dizzy speells?
I just think you should call the doctor, even if the bp looks normal. love waves |

such as what causes it. love bobby |
Bobby,
It's normal to have differences between readings taken at different times of the day, or different days. According to this, dehydration can cause orthostatic hypotension: http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-c...s/con-20031255 Maybe you got a bit low on fluid for a few days? Lower blood volume would also explain a lower-but-normal diastolic reading (the 60, as opposed to 80). 60 is considered marginal, btw -- I just double checked -- meaning loweer than that is considered hypotension. Make sure to get enough fluids. If it dosn't happen again, not to worry. If it does, call the doctor. love waves. |
thank you so much waves. I will force myself to drink more water. It still hasn't happened but for a while it was happening regularly.
i didnt get out of my nightgown yesterday. I guess i should get dressed even though i am not going anywhere or seeing anybody. It might make me less depressed. I just started watching wimbleton. I want fedderer to win. I can't be that depressed. love bobby |
Is that tennis or golf?
lol I am not a sports enthusiast... bizi |

I understand, I stay undressed mostly unless I need to go out. I am trying to get dressed more lately, as well. I think it gets one more into the mentality of doing things. So yes, do try it could help with depression. If you get one of those days though, where you just really need to curl up in bed and feel safe, it's ok, you know. Don't sweat it. love waves |

i also made an appt to exchange cable boxes tomorrow since the one i have is ten years old and i have to keep on rebooting the box. i hope they know how to deal with ooma, the phone system. abby just knocked it to the floor the first time so i am going to leave it on the floor. maria is having such a difficult time with her daughter. we spoke about that for 15 minutes. i took an extra klonopin love bobby |
good luck with the new cable box! I hate change and it is extra difficult for me when it has to do with technology.
