GROUP CHAT for this week (FORMAT CHANGE)
Not sure if people would be up for another group chat this week.
Regarding the current format we have, I think it is difficult for our injured brains to keep up if there are too many people in a chat room (as someone aptly pointed out). I suggest that we have multiple chatrooms and keep the number of people to about 3 per chatroom. This way, the discussion will be more intimate and meaningful. Also, the topic can be decided by the people in a given chatroom as the most pressing issues are different for everyone. Please let me know what you think. This is a trial and error process so if what I am suggesting does not work out, we can always change it! |
There are already two chat rooms to use: "TBI and PCS" and " TBI & PCS ".

agreed on format change. i can't handle more than a person or two in chat mode, and should limit myself to 30 min. would suck to get a set back from a support group :)
not sure if i can make it this week. got invited to two parties, and CRAZILY, am considering showing up for like 10 minutes just to see how i do and get some hugs to milk for the lonelier days. we'll see though, new drugs Lexapro are giving me major headaches and fatigue. |
two parties? lucky you...enjoy

well whatever happens you know where to find us lol. I can't believe I was 18 once and either going out with 10 guy friends or a different girl every week. That was a million billion years ago lol

I was hoping to make it tonight, but I didn't get back in the house until 9pm... wouldn't matter anyhow, I still haven't figured out HOW to actually chat. :o
Wonder if in the summer time it would work better to have it a bit later on? Starr |
new time
What about 9pm EST?
STARR, there is "Chatrooms" icon on the bottom left corner of your screen. Click it. Hockey, man, I would love some socializing. This isolation is wearing down on me. |

If my daughter's activities didn't force me to interact with others, I'd happily shut myself away. I find it difficult to be around people. My speech problems and reluctance to make eye contract make me seem freaky. I'm also always worried that I'll "go frontal" and have some meltdown that humiliates my child in public. |

Starr,
Sorry for the confusion. You won't see the chatrooms unless either me or mark, who created those chatrooms, is online. |
Starr and others,
Click the blue cloud icon at the bottom right and the Chatroom and Chat bar will expand. Then click the Chatrooms icon at the bottom left. If the Chatroom creator is online, their Chatroom will be listed. If you click the Chat icon on the right side of the bar, it will only show when others are online and you have 'friended' them. willgardner is PCS & TBI MarkinIdaho is PCS and TBI My computer is usually online with NT even when I am not at the computer so the PCS and TBI should be available often. Anybody can start a new chatroom. Click the Create Chatroom icon at the top of the Chatroom window. You can then invite others to join. |
All times are GMT -5. The time now is 05:29 PM. |
