Headaches, Headaches, Headaches

I wonder what causes headaches to occur over a period of time. I've had headaches for about a weak now,and the headache medicine doesn't work to well.

I know that this cycle of headaches will pass, but they are unpleasant, and I don't feel like doing anything but lying down.

What kind of headache patterns do you guys, and gals have out there? No reply is necessary. You don't have to talk about it. BF:hug::hug::hug:

I hope you're feeling better fast, BF.

I have a big problem with headaches and migraines. Taking Topamax regularly has helped a bit.

Sometimes, I get sort of a slew of them. They just don't stop and are daily. This usually involves needing an Imitrex injection to stop the pattern.

Once in a while, I'll need to go to the ER for something stronger.

I guess this is sort of a cycle...as you mentioned.

I hope you get it stopped asap. Horrible.

Migraines honestly run in my family. My mother, all three sisters.
And now me, my three sons, and for sure youngest grandson
all have migraines. We all have different things that work, but
at times only staying in bed for a long time is my answer.

Also I used to take topamax also. And it was very helpful for
me. One of my son's when his start to act up, its bad he ends
up in either a doctor's office or clinic getting the injections.
He had debilating headaches in school. Honestly it was bad
enough he dropped out and went back to school later.

Also my grandson his son. Wow, we have loves of problems with
his headaches. He is now on Amtrypline which thankfully works most
of the time. But you can tell when he misses more than one dosage.

Also they both react to heat. Which the weather has just started
heating up.

I am sorry that you are going through this.

Steve,

Lots and lots of hugs.

Call your doctor.
There is a change that he/she can write a prescription for you.

You also have the option of going to the ER.

I thank you all for the kind responses. Thank you for giving me ideas on what to possibly take,or ask for if they don't let up. Thank you for the other ideas. BF:grouphug::hug::hug::hug:

A day without a headache is a reason to celebrate. So make sure
you enjoy the day.

Sorry to hear this, Steve.

Was this unusual for you, or do you get headaches regularly?

Hey Waves. The headaches stopped. I had them for about a week, then they went away. I don't know why I had them,or where they went. I'm glad that they are gone.

I usually don't get headaches. I get them from time,to time,but not often. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Mari Thank you. I'm feeling about as OK as I can get. I worked on a antenna system,my hobbie, and I feel good about it. It's late, but I will probably hear the stations down the road a little better. BF:hug::hug::hug:

bizi 08-25-2014 09:40 AM

I am glad that your head feels better.
hoping your antenna works better for you.

Brokenfriend 08-25-2014 03:28 PM

Thank you Bizi . With the antenna project, I made a more solid connection between two antennas joined together. I'll leave it at that because it's complicated for every one who doesn't have the hobby. It took me years to learn those things.

I hope that you are having a nice day. How is the photography hobby going. I remember that you were going to try to make it a hobby. BF:hug::hug::hug:

hi steve thanks for asking. I have not taken any pictures since a week after buying the camera. so it is not a hobby.

Hey Bizi. I know what you mean. I have some things over here that I thought that I'd like, but after using them a few times, they ended up either in the drawer,or the closet.

If they are electronics, remove the battery so it won't hurt the unit. Many batteries go bad over a period of time, and destroy the electronic device. Sometimes it's a long, long time before the batterys break down. Some batterys go dead in an electronic device without hurting it over a long period of time. You never know for sure. BF:hug::hug::hug:

waves 08-25-2014 10:15 PM

Oh gosh. Yes, good reminder, Steve.

And it's true. I have a nice-ish Nikon 35mm... with a hole in the casing where battery acid ate through it.

I need to go check I didn't put another battery in there, to make a bigger hole.

Brokenfriend 08-26-2014 12:16 AM

Yes. That battery melt down in an electronic that is aging can be unexpected. It's happened to a few of my electronics, and it's never a happy thing to see. BF:hug::hug::hug:
