More Happy thoughts

I spent part of my pay check on Walgreens' junky sales aisle including

1 purple rhinestone stapler

2 purple stuffed very soft doggie that goes with my blue one I already have -- I touch the blue one often.
http://www.amazon.com/Multipet-Plush.../dp/B003XVYKVI
My two were cheaper than this
One is lavender
The other blue -- very soft and much more cuddly than you can tell from the picture -- I touch the blue one often.

3 aqua stuffed goofy pixar gorilla monster with a sign on his chest that says "O.K.
He is a little like this one but mine is cheaper and cuter and smaller . . .has a bigger smile
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Disney-Store...item4adacb26be

4 a small colorful book of Charlie Brown and each of his friends with big smiles and a happy caption.
One of them is like this:
https://www.google.com/search?q=100+...7%3B800%3B1036
The slightly negative ones I tore out to put in Saturday;'s trash.
I like the one with Linus holding his arms out saying "All is right with the world."

I need to buy a happy, cheap, cheer me up thing :) can't figure out what. maybe a cat toy )

waves 08-24-2014 11:14 PM

I liked your toy. I see it is called that, but looks like a sheep! Lol. It even has different color hooves and shaven face.... I say sheep even if they say dog. Lol.

I love plushy things and stuffed animals. We have a few upstairs, but mostly tucked away. I used to keep my entire collection (I have a bunch) on my bed. It makes me sad that mine have to stay in a bix box in the garage with my current arrangement.

Upstairs we have a black panther which is the size of a domestic cat. I bought it for my mother as a gift, but I guess I'm more attached to it than she is. I refer to it as "the cat" and pet it from time to time. :) It has bright eyes.

You can get some funky happy stuff
On Ebay! How about a rhinesone lanyard
In any color for less than 4 bucks?

This winter i found a fantastic vintage
Looney toons character plastic candle
holder from the 80's and it is glass inside.
I use it as a pencil holder. It was pristine new
Condition and 12 bucks! Worth much
More IMO. I also collect Bambi things
Sometimes.(i know:rolleyes: but it is
A long story for that one).
I love just cruising Ebay and Etsy and
Just looking at stuff! ;)

Sharing... I changed my wallpaper

I set a new wallpaper to try and help cheer myself up. I usually have a moonscape that is very neutral, which is normally good for me.

I chose a froggy wallpaper. I like lil' froggies. This one has lots of green. And a perky froggy in the middle:

I've always liked frogs, and tadpoles. We have allot of tree frogs out here. You can hear the tree frogs in the trees at night. The bull frogs make their sounds near the lakes. When I walk by a lake, you can hear bull frogs jumping into the water. I can imitate the sounds of bull frogs. I could make their sounds, and I use to get them croaking around the ponds when I was a teen ager. lol BF:hug::hug::hug:

Waves,
That is very nice.

I like greens and blues too.

Thanks, guys. :)

I am glad you all "approve" of my little frog. ;) It has turned out well. The green is pleasant to me right now, and I like having the little guy poking out of the screen at me. He looks curious. This wallpaper is also very "functional" because much of the screen area is plain color enough that the icons stand out well against it.

:)

If we got together we could do a chorus. I used to do frog sounds too. I grew up with lots and lots of frogs around.

LOL I really could make bull frog sounds. I'd get the bull frogs croaking if I wanted to most of the time. It's funny. They must think that I'm a big bullfrog. I guess that it's the same thing as a Fire Engine sounding it's siren, and the dogs in the neighborhood would sit down, and look up,and bark, and moan with the siren. LOL:grin::smile::Thats-Funneh: I just tried to make a bull frog sound, and I can still do it. lol

Tree frogs,Crickets, and Katydids make quit a symphony out here at night during the Summer. I use to collect insects,so I know what a Katydid is,and know what they sound like. There are two different Katydids that make two different sounds. In nature there are probably dozens,or many different kinds of them.

Now,and then I hear owls, and whip-poor-wills(Birds that come out at night)around here. All of that is quite musical. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Brokenfriend 08-30-2014 09:57 PM

You can hear these on Youtube. Katydid sounds youtube, and whip-poor-will sounds Youtube. BF:hug::hug::hug:

I should have posted this also. The tree frogs in this area have a distinct sound. They sound like this...."Gray Tree Frog mating call youtube". This is exactly what they sound like out here. I heard a bull frog at one point during the recording.

This makes me feel like I've been camping. BF:hug::hug::hug:

I made a guess that something was going on.
Thanks for pointing out the bull frogs.

We own some land with a small pound on it. Not unusual to find
frogs and toads down there.

Donna :hug::grouphug:

Brokenfriend 08-31-2014 06:42 PM

Has this happened to anyone? I've caught toads when I was a kid,and some of them have peed in my hand. If things were reversed,I'd probably do the same thing. BF:o:o:hug:
