Anyone care about football? jets wasted 35 years of my life
maybe a little more. rex ryan never had a good quarterback and never had a chance. unless he had a say in getting these mooks. all the great quarterbacks of the past 30 years and jets couldn't get one of them.

Welcome swolf154. :Tip-Hat:
I like football. I watch most any team. :D |
I traded out Geno Smith for Golden Tate on NFL Fantasy Football, thats how much I rate him, lol...
Im a big fan of RGIII & Russel Wilson... Quarterbacks with that mobility to go along with their calmness in the pocket, are the new breed... I love NFL... Bit of a Saints fan... Love watching Jimmy Graham... Fantastic Tight End... |
Nice to meet you!!

Try Another Type
As a supporter of what you would call "Soccer", and Manchester CITY FC(never United), might I suggest you try the new Franchise New York City, owned by our benevolent and wealthy owner - Sheik Mansoor. He has taken our Club from the doldrums to become multiple Champions and Cup winners.

i have to say......GO BRONCOS!
i lived in denver for 35yrs thru the john elway yrs & a superbowl. i don't know if we can get that far again. last yr they totally caved with the seahawks. i don't know what team came to that game but it wasn't my loved broncos. they can do it and hopefully the bye will give them a chance to get a little stronger from injuries. GO DENVER! |
Go Packers. :D
|
Always The Bears!
Been a Bears fan since American Football first became big over here in the 80's and William 'Refrigerator' Perry was a media star.
…And people ask why I'm depressed  |
I am a Carolina Panthers fan and I am proud that my boys made it as far as they did this year... Maybe next year will be our year. Cam is an awesome QB
GO PANTHERS;):D:p |
Well...sorry Judy...we Bears fans are excited to have Coach John Fox come over from Denver:D. Maybe he can restore some sense of order in the locker room and mold the Bears into the Monsters they once were
|
I'm a Browns fan. All sympathy appreciated.

By the way, what happened with Manziel?? Was rated highly at college level, but has disappeared at the Browns... Dont get much news over in England about it all... |
Yes Andy,
He screwed you on Fabian Delph's contract. I think he will fit in well at City, would rather see him than Wilshire. Dave. |
Fabian Delph is fantastic. Will be a massive loss. Bigger than when we lose Benteke in my humble opinion. A far far superior footballer & midfielder than Jack Wilshere. Overrated has a picture of his face in the dictionary.
I think the Delph contract situation was always in the hands of the player to he fair. Im thankful that Fabian helped keep us up & didn't leave on a free... I just hope that Jack Grealish picks Ireland over England. Im fed up of Villa players going off with England & then leaving for more money elsewhere... Usually Manchester City... However, my club is in a terrible state, so one can not blame them too much.. |
Well, being a native of Wisconsin, I probably don’t even need to mention what team I always watch. As Kitt said, Go Packers!! I’m even a shareholder – one share with no voting rights. :D
NurseNancy, I used to live in Colorado too when I was much younger, in Lakewood and Boulder. I can sympathize with you as the seahawks also derailed the Pack’s trip to the Super Bowl this year. |

Hopefully he'll come around and mature. |
Hopefully. He has talent...

Hey Auntie Audrey,
Why can't Eddie Lacy get into his own driveway? Someone painted an Endzone on it:D Go Bears! Dave. |
My dear English Dave,
Onslow knows best: :D http://i717.photobucket.com/albums/w...PFanOnslow.jpg GO PACK GO !! Question: Did you hear the new penalty for speeding in Illinois? Answer: On the first offense, they give you Chicago Bears tickets; on the second offense, they make you use them. :ROTFLMAO: |
Haaaa! My Mum WAS Hyacinth Bucket!!!

One of my all time favorite tv shows, Dave.

I wasa Bills fan, went to games for 29 years with my Dad and siblings. A week before the home opener 2014 the fracker bought the team. So ended my fandom and following football.
I left the Buffalo Sabres in the dust the day he purchased them, though I still enjoy hockey. The only football I've watched since was visiting my Grandpa in the hospital. 2 mobths removed from the sport and the violence seemed so heavy. I used the cheer every time they showed Mike Stratton's hit from '66? on the Jumbotron, too. For my family and friends, I hope they do well. I just can't stomach suppporting something that teems with poisoned water. |

Why American football is called football?
Hi. The aforementioned question may sound absurd but if you really think about it, it makes sense. Except for the initial kicking, kicking a field goal, and kicking the football after scoring a touchdown + field goal, most of the time played the football is held, catched and carried by the player's hands.
I do not have any issue against American football. Indeed, I am a Packers' fan. But playing rugby implies kicking the ball more frequently than what is the case with American football. Actually, if we want to be precise, the real football sport is soccer. The only player allowed to catch the ball with his/her own hands is the goalkeeper but only in a determined area. The remaining ten teammates use their feet to move the ball to the opposite field to score. Any idea where did American football get its name from? Regards, Lobo |
Hi lobo,
Here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hist...rican_football You will see American Football developed from Rugby Football (still officially called thus) which developed from, and alongside Association Football (Soccer). The Rule Changers of the 19th C and the subsequent Visionaries have given us 3 wonderfully entertaining sports to watch now. Dave. |
Have to say - Womens World Cup Soccer Champions USA. A good game for sure. :trampoline: And I do love football. :)
