Kind Of Quiet.

How is everyone? It sure has been quiet here today. I hope that means that you are all out there living life and having a good time.:D

If you are all feeling funky today, that's ok, just come here and rant or cry or scream or bellow. I promise, I will listen.

I haven't done sh** today. Just lazy and vegging out. No pain, no complaints, no nothing.:p

I didn't call my Brother today, so I hope is is still rallying. I will call tomorrow. The last time I talked to him, he told me that his DW was making a milkshake for him. He wants to make it to his 70th birthday in August. I hope he does.;)

My Van is still in the shop...windshield wipers are being fixed, since a mouse ate the wires. Everything else is fixed a raring to go...except me, that is.:D

I hope you are all doing well and just lazy like me. Fill me in on your escapades.

Me? I'm tired! Another school year is about to come to the end. That brings lots of extra things to finish the year and get the rooms closed down.

But then, "Let Freedom Ring!":D "Ya Baby!"

MSacorn 06-09-2007 12:56 AM

I've been doing laundry today. Always exhausting. I was in much pain Thurs that I zoned out on vicadin and was a bum. Feeling a bit hazy but more comfortable today. Tried crocheting a couple things, but had to rip them apart. I guess I'll just go to bed. I have my MS group meeting in the am and I am not a morning person anymore. Good Night

AfterMyNap 06-09-2007 07:17 AM

It's Cheryl's fault, Sal. And Taffy's too.

Nothing special to report here; I had some digital housekeeping to do yesterday, printed some pics, organized & stored others, blah blah blah.

Here's a riddle: How many power strips and devices plugged into them does it take to blow a circuit??

We did have a powerful wind system that came through and lasted 29 hours. It was brutal! No damage, but very persistent and kind of irritating.

Wow, my life is so dull.

tovaxin_lab_rat 06-09-2007 09:53 AM

It's always my fault. I have had a very busy week working. All these jobs! I am so tired. I could hardly move.

Maybe I will get a couple of pictures posted this weekend. And I have to get ready for a couple of big jobs and trip, and I don't even want to think about the next 3 weeks! Oh my aching head!

LarryLDN 06-09-2007 11:38 AM

I am still having the time of my life! Even with my car and dental problems. Except for a little vertigo here and there, I'm at 9s and 10s on the scale. Was only 7s and 8s before my vacation.

Been doing a lot of walking, some fast paced walking like I used to, jogged a bit, and ran 3 times so far in the last few weeks.

I hope it's gonna be a good year... will enjoy the 9s and 10s for as long as it lasts.

Hey Sally!

I disappeared for a few weeks because of my son's wedding. :)
I was so busy and also very sick.

Yesterday, the last group of family members left, so now I have more time. I'm starting to feel better, too.

School is also done and I don't have to go back to work until the middle of August.:D

SallyC 06-10-2007 11:49 AM

Congrats to your Son and new DIL.:) Where's the honeymoon? Will they be living in Florida or elsewhere?

It's nice that you can sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor now, and get some relaxation time.

Happy that you are feeling better. That's always a great thing. I know you haven't been feeling well.

Welcome back, Jalee..

Hello Sally,
Hope you had a quiet weekend. We took some needed time off to regroup. Have you heard anything from your brother? I've had the two of you in my thoughts and prayers all weekend.

All the best,
Chris

Hey Jalee! Missed you! Nice to see you back!

Welcome back, Jalee..

They are honeymooning in the Keys. They will be home tonight.

My son built a new house for them to live in about six miles from us.

I've been having problems with electrolytes falling, but now that I am taking potassium and magnesium supplements, I'm feeling much better.

doydie 06-11-2007 10:46 PM

I have been totally bummed out!!!!! Last Monday or Tuesday, can't remember, my computer monitor went out. I have been without a computer since then. I have been in computer withdrawal!!!!!! My son in law is a total computer geek so I called him. He suggested I take my monitor over to my other daughters house and hook it up to her computer to see if it works on hers. Well it did the same thing. I was reluctant to go out and buy a new monitor when it could have been the computer also. We were scheduled to go down to Lexington this Sunday to see the grandkids so I just waited till then so he could check both of them out. So today while we were still there I bought a new monitor. I was sooooo proud of myself. This self proclaimed computer illiterate came home and hooked everything up! To take the computer and monitor down there, I had to unhook the printer, the cable modem, speakers, everything. So I put it all back! I am glad that pretty much everything is color coded. My screen is 17 inches instead of 15 so everything looks much bigger.

I have got to go to the reality show addict thread and see what has been going on over there.

Oh, the kids are wonderful. The baby is about 7 months old now. She is still being breast fed and is a very healthy size. By that I mean she's a little fat. So her Mom was reluctant to start her on solid food. She really didn't need it. She finallly gave in and started her on solids about 2 wweks ago. Elli wants food and wants it NOW! But she is so cute and huggable and loveable and all mine! She is all smiles, laughs, giiggles and cute little sounds all the time.
Her big sister is wonderful to. She will start first grad in the fall and read us one of the Bernstein Bear books. She had read us the B book but this time it was Good night bear. As you can tell, I'm pretty proud of my girls.

My other daughter, well her boa bit her husband cause they were three weeks late in feeding him and he stuck his hand in the cage to get out and show him off. So my grand children are smarter than the animals.

tovaxin_lab_rat 06-12-2007 11:34 AM

Congratulations Doydie! How's the new monitor look!?!

I have a 17" laptap - it's heavy to lug around but I don't lug it around much anymore but I love the size of the screen! I use it alot in my landscape business so it is very helpful. But it weighs a lot!

I finally bought a wheeled computer bag which helps a lot when I travel and it has a nice extra pouch for putting extra stuff in so it makes a nice carry on bag, so I don't have to lug it around on my shoulder anymore (not that I could lug it very far!).

Glad you had a good time!

;)

I would comment on the use of her laptop but,

The mouth or the comment!:D

(Never would let me cause any trouble!)

familiar feeling

:hug:I know your feeling. I veg much of the time trying to sleep. Your little dog is precious and must be nice company. I am so sorry about your brother. Do you have a disabling condition as well. Getting old is not for the weak, I have learned. Wish you the best!

Thanks Billie.

Yes, I have Multiple Sclerosis.

That's just it Billie, I've come to the conclusion that getting old IS for the weak..:D

Wishing you the best, right back.

Sal,
DH (who does not have MS) went to the doctor with a list of his problems and was taken aback when that young scalliewag's (she must be in her mere 40's) conclusion was he's getting old. (I said that, did he listen......)

Yeah... my dh was complaining that I was shrinking his jeans because they were too tight. Not that possibly he was getting to fat for them. He kept trying on new pants at the store, that *surprise, surprise* also were too tight.

Not that he was too fat, but that they make them too small these days, you see.

so I says, "Step on the scale and see for yourself if you gained weight." Finally (two years later) he did. Next thing ya know, my scale went missing.

Sad too, because that ugly old thing was very kind to me. Said I weighed 3 lbs less than the new one says.

:(

Guess we get weak and fat lol.

kicker 07-23-2009 11:07 AM

DH and I "discussed" that his light sneakers and summer clothes do not equal 10 pounds to be subtracted from medical office finding. I'll go to 5 maybe.

I'm going with 8lbs. My doctors scale says so. ;)

braingonebad 07-23-2009 12:38 PM

New scale is a 4 person electronic memory thing. You punch in your height and weight goal. Then weigh yourself and you can save the results. It tells you your start weight, how much you gained or lost since yesterday, since your start, how much to go till you hit your goal, and your approx BMI.

I still don't know if I love it or hate it. It depends on if I lost or gained that day.

:o
