Condor is still here

Hi Guys,
I'm one of the oldtimers from 1999. Nice to see some familiar names. Dana sent me this link to find everyone. I'll be stoppin in to read everyday, and to see who all is here. I started at the Thorasic Outlet Syndrome forum and graduated to the RSD forum. Bi-lateral Rib Resections and Full Scalenectomy brought me here. Hope to visit with everyone soon.

welcome back...good to see ya

Condor 09-29-2006 06:38 PM

Hey Claudia,
Thanks for the welcome home. Our kids Graduated from college and moved out in June, so the house is kinda empty. But it is a good kind of empty, they still come over for food, money, and visits. And they call all the time. Hope all is well for you. Nice to see people I know on here. As I mentioned to Dana, I was clicking the old links and didn't know about this place. Take care.

Hi Condor,

Wow, I never knew you started at TOS. I visit both places. I only knew you from 4 yrs ago when you were on the RSD forum.

I am glad you made it here and hope all is well with your family and health.
I know you went through a lot with your health a couple yrs ago, seizures, etc
It's been a long road.

Remember Pageshorzoo (Page) ? She moved to Oregon a little over a yr ago.
She loves the peace and quiet but things have not gone smoothly for her & it has been a rough year.

Glad you made it here and hope you come around to visit often.

Hi Condor,

I'm so glad to see that you got my e-mail. Just wasn't sure if it was the correct addy. This darn Gateway Computer did it again to me last month. Just out of the blue...turns itself on, off, on, off. Can't troubleshoot it or anything. No time. Frustrating as heck. I was down for more than a week. I actually bought a back-up computer. A lap top. Don't care for it much as I can't use such a tiny keyboard..laffs. But if my CPU goes down, I can hook my ergonomical keyboard up to it in a pinch and my mouse. Seems silly but it's a great stress reliever just knowing it's there...WHEN the Gateway goes down again.

Anyways, how is Deb? Please say hello.

Sorry to hear that the keiki's moved out, but at least they are close enough to come home for your good home cooked meals! er and money!

Roy's Rest. is doing just fine...btw.

You take care and Aloha!

Hi Condor...great to see you made it here and that you are doing well. Haven't seen you post much on the last board in a long time, wondered about you. We really haven't corresponded that much but since I had not seen you, Mark, or Doc post in such a long time many prayers went out for the three of you. Jewells

Condor 09-30-2006 12:44 PM

Thank You,
I always like prayers. I have a very deep faith, and it has pulled me thru many times. It is nice to find everyone again.

See what you did Stephen, just by popping in? Thank you.

Ouch! I totally missed that. So much for Mark and artist, too, although in light of the how she was doing when she left, I'm inclined to think she's well enough wherever she is.

I know too that some people drift off, worn down by the cycle of so much fear being ever expressed anew, impatient that the light of magic treatments at the end of the tunnel never seems to be getting any closer.

Then again, as someone whose had this for 9 years, I know that by the time I hit the 4 or 5 year mark, perhaps because of my more regimented use of meds (dosing time released analgesics on a precise schedule) or other treatments, I don't know, the pain became somewhat more managable. That or I adapted to it with the help of [whatever] so I don't mind hanging out here because I'm deep down I've become something of an optimist. To paraphrase Sartre, it's knowing that the choice is ours, whether we go to our ultimate ends - whatever those may be - as slaves (wrapped up in fear and regret) or free men and women, appreciating the moment as it arises: good or bad, no difference. Not that any of us always make the mark - I certainly don't - but just keeping the target in mind is helpful.

Still, where I'm most concerned is for those folks who appeared to be in something of a state of physical free-fall (Mark, Rosie) when last we heard from them. If anyone has information on esrtwhile members who've gone too long accounted for, even if it's not necessarily upbeat, I for one, would appreciate knowing it.

And as far as you other guys are concerned, I'm with Claudia, time to check in. Theresa too.

Mike

Hi Claudia,

Glad to see you here.
When Vicc passed, I sent out emails to Gigglebabe, Janet, Jose, Marilyn, and others and most popped on. Gigglebabe sends me pictures of her girls often. Jose emailed me awhile back too.

There were a lot of the oldies that I wish would show themselves and say hi.

Claudia, we just took a trip to the mountains girl. I hope things are doing better for you and you are getting your home back in order.

I can't remember all of the oldies by name but Claudia can.

By the way, stick around.

love ya,
Ada

Still here

Hi Everyone,
It's been a long time. I know most of you don't know me, but I stop by to read up on what is going on in your lives. CRPS still has a strong grip on me, but I try to keep active. I don't know if Thoracic Outlet Syndrome is just as bad as CRPS or worse. Both of them are painful. We moved in December and trying to help with the piles of boxes has caused a flare that just won't go away. The VA tries to help with the never ending pain, but there isn't anything I can tolerate that does much good. Enough with the whining. Hope all is well with you all.

Hi Condor,

Welcome back! It is nice to see an old-timer. Come jump in sometimes. I'm sure we will benefit from the many years experience you have living with this and yet still getting out there. I hope you are able to get some relief on that flare up soon. It's so darn tempting to overdo sometimes isn't it?

PurpleFoot721 03-03-2016 08:37 PM

Hello Condor,

Welcome back! Just wanted to stop by and say hello to you. It's always nice to see somebody stop back in from time to time.
