Sent out my first resume!

I sent out my first resume yesterday. It was for a job at my husband's company. I probably don't have a chance in hell that I will get it, but I had to make that first step in sending something somewhere. Looked at monster.com and it was so overwhelming! I gave up on that really quick.
Today I will be getting a reminder call for my pain doc appointment and I will ask if they still need a front office person. If they do, I will bring in my resume tomorrow.
I feel like doggie doo doo but I am still trying.

It is exciting!! Good for you.

I am sorry you feel like crap. That's not fair. Is it the fibro or the bp?

Poor sweetheart.

Its a med change from Lexapro to Celexa. I will have been on it a week this Thursday. I had to change for insurance reasons so it was an abrupt change. My body is not dealing with it well. But I am not going to let it stop me. I know feeling this terrible is temporary.

Good Luck with the job, the first step is sending out the resume's.:)

I hoe they still need someone in the PM doc's office that would be a great place for you to work Wendy. I hope that you are able to get over the hurdle this med change is presenting to you. It's awful they didn't give you and time to taper down before starting you on the celexa. Hang in there, it will get better soon. :D

fiberowendy2000 06-12-2007 12:19 PM

Still waiting on the confirmation call from my pain doc to ask if they still need help. I am getting so impatient.:D

Crossing my fingers for you Wendy! :D ;)

Wendy, I hope the docs office job works out for you. About a month ago I got a job working the front desk part time for my PCP - a nurse I used to work with recommended me. What a wonderful change from my high stress job (reporting at a newspaper owned by truly mean, crazy people). It's been such a positive change for me - I wish it for everybody!!

Well no call and I know the office is closed by now. Hmmm. Usually they are good about call reminders. Strange. Well it looks as if I am going in cold tomorrow.

Wendy,

You could still get good news at the doctor's office. If not then there will be something somewhere some day.

Yup I am not going to worry about it until I walk in to the office today and there is someone new sitting there. Right now with the med change, I don't think I could handle an interview nevermind a job. Ick!

Nikko 06-13-2007 09:33 AM

Good Luck, hope you are feeling better. If you pain mgmt dr won't give you a pain med, what about your regular PCP doctor?

My pain management doc feels that FM can't be treated with narcotics and I feel the same way. So I get trigger point shots every two weeks and take meds to help sleep and muscle relaxants to help with the pain. Some days are worse than others but I am okay. The med change was for Celexa so that can't be helped.
Anyway, I brought a copy of my resume to my pain doc and while I can't work at that office because of a doctor's code of ethics, one of his partners is looking for the same position at his office. So they are going to forward my resume to that office. Unfortunately the office manager there is on vacation this week so I will only hear something next week.
Cross your fingers everyone!

When I was getting ready to graduate college two years ago I started sending out resumes and doing interviews and did not get anywhere for quite awhile,,,,,I realized when I finally got the job I have now that God has plans for me. He placed me where I was needed with my knowldege and personality.

I worried for a time there after my daguhter passed away, but it is all fine. I am thanked for my job, and my supervisor tells me how glad she is to have me.

Any other job, just was not meant for me, patience and putting in the hands of a higher authority helped.
Good luck and grow with the process, if the first one hirex you, it is meant to be, if not something WILL be there.

Can you appeal for the lexapro back, from not having good results on celexa...I am so glad to have my lexapro., never thought I would say that.
Good luck and any help for a resume, I will be happy t help.
Di

Things are getting better on the celexa. Each day the ickiness goes away earlier and earlier. So I am coping. Eventually I will be back to normal.

Hi Wendy,

Glad to hear that things are getting better on the Celexa.
