Help FG pick out her FDA outfit!

We may know by now that FG is giving a speech at a FDA Public Hearing about: Implementation of Risk Minimization Action Plans to Support Quality Use of Pharmaceuticals; Opportunities and Challenges.

Yeah!

First, we are so proud of Cheryl!

Second, what is she going to wear?

So let's all pitch in and give FG some fashion ideas!

I will go first!

How about a nice dress? (chocolate brown)
Low heels ....unless you can walk in heels...

(wish I had kept my paper dolls)

what else could she wear?

AfterMyNap 06-17-2007 09:25 PM

Indeed, Taffinacious, we are quite proud to have Ms. Flygirl represent the infirm with such firm resolve.

I felt she looked especially smart and snappy in this savvy, stretch, 3-season wool pinstripe jacket, metro pants and cotton career tee. But I'm partial to the classic lines.

Taffy 06-17-2007 11:13 PM

Cool Cin! Either the dress or suit should have a string of pearls. Something to play with when she is nervous!

Oh, Taff, she's not going to flirt with the hearing panel, they'll probably all be mentally working on grocery lists and vacation plans!

Besides, if she is going to accessorize, it needs to be something that will catch the dome light, silly! Opals are nice for highlighting the eyes and would blend well with her trashed veins from all those IVs.

tovaxin_lab_rat 06-18-2007 01:17 AM

I have pearls and I also have opals. But I am really partial to sapphires. (flirting with other panel members really isn't my style. I've been told I am hard to get to know, so I will just leave them alone!)

I do like the nice outfit Cindy. It is quite fetching. I prefer flats, to heels. I tend to wobble a tad in heels! I'd really like to cover my trashed veins, not accessorize them! LOL!

Gray or Navy are good colors for me, so are pink and turquoise as complementary colors. Chocolate brown might be good, that way if I spill, it won't show! You know how coffee stains everything!

Any other suggestions? This is fun! Right now, I have two pair of dress slacks in my closet - Navy and Black. And a Black Suit. I also have a cream colored tailored dress with Navy Trim that will work very well. I even have shoes! Hmmm, that might work!

Other than that, jeans and t-shirts. I am a landscaper, I don't dress up much! And lots of shorts, and 3 pairs of Teva sandals!

FlyFishin Momma 06-18-2007 08:46 AM

Cheryl........
NO NO NO....something from the closet isnt good enough.......
Go get yourself something classy and pretty..something up to date......
The Cho brown is a big in color this year.....with light pink, dusty rosee or lavender underlaying silk blouse or tank style top.......if the suit has pin strips it adds to your height and slimming also.....(you can also find a short sleeved blazer to go with the outfit instead of long sleeve....

You can add some tan or cream colored flats or sandles with open toes for the summer time flare.....

A brown felt choker will tie it all together......

Now go shopping for that perfect outfit......remember long lines make you look taller.......( I am always looking for taller and slimmer lol)

AfterMyNap 06-18-2007 09:25 AM

NO, NO, NO! Open toed shoes would be a hideous faux pas and she'd never recover from it! Have mercy! FG, you need classic good lines, the kind that say, "I'm a power beoch and I'm no one's chump!" A nice, understated low-heeled pump would pull it all together.

Try this seasonless wool one button blazer, clean-front trousers and silk sleeveless mock, the drape is divine and natural fibers are always the object of envy.

Taffy 06-18-2007 10:40 AM

And you thought I was kidding about the chocolate brown dress!

SallyC 06-18-2007 11:04 AM

Something like this may bring more attention to the cause...:D

AfterMyNap 06-18-2007 11:33 AM

LOL! Sal, she wore that last year at the Tysabri hearings; besides, she said she can't do spikes!

Taffy 06-18-2007 11:37 AM

Choke....Love the hair!

tovaxin_lab_rat 06-18-2007 12:25 PM

I do have two dresses that will work. If it isn't in my closet, then I shop online. I don't do malls. Altho I do need a new pair of shoes. Ugh. I HATE SHOPPING. Especially for shoes.

Hey Cindy, where'd you get the picture of outfit #2? I like that one.

Taffy 06-18-2007 12:32 PM

When is it? (the 25th?) What day is it today? (the 18th) You best be a-crackin!

tovaxin_lab_rat 06-18-2007 01:36 PM

How does this look? Happy?

Gee Tafinator, what would I do without you! You are sooo much help.

Are you going to meet me in Portland sometime between July 3 & 7?

That flygirl will use any excuse to show off my fabulous new kitchen:p

As much as I like Sally's idea, it's so hard to run to the metro station in spike heels. Especially while juggling whips, handcuffs, etc. Not that I would know or anything.

Cheryl. Obviously, you've seen that I have the fashion sense of a skidrow junky. I fully expect to have the "What not to Wear" hosts show up on my doorstep one day. That being said, I'd be happy to lend you my new birkenstocks. They don't stink yet. I also have a lovely collection of toe socks that you could use to highlight the beauty that is the Birkenstock. I'll leave it up to you, use your best judgement.

I didn't give her your address! ;)

I do have nice jewelry for accessorizing! Hmmm, does lavender go with Red? Might have to rethink the Greta bracelet.

AfterMyNap 06-18-2007 06:32 PM

Have mercy! Greta, go to your room! Work on your macrame!

FG that look calls for gold, gold, gold!

Good point on the red MB!

Thanks for the offer Kay, but eggplant isn't my color. (you'll have to pawn that lovely dress off on someone else! :p )

I ordered the Red Jacket and it's on its way! I don't even have to buy shoes now! Cool. I hate shoe shopping. And I have gold accessories! Now I just need a white shirt, or something. Pink won't work. Darn. Gotta go shopping for shirt. :(

watsonsh 06-18-2007 11:24 PM

Hi, I am chiming in late but I always thought it was cool, hip and chic when peole wear a crisp new white t-shirt under a jacket, and then accessorize. Just a thought

Is it the red jacket on the previous page?

LMFREAKIN'AO!!!!!!!!!! THAT THING JUST WON'T DIIIIIIIIIEEEEEE!!!!

FG, if you go with the white blouse, do get something substantial, please! Nothing can pull a Pendleton down like a cheap top. I'll find one for you, I'm even thinking an eggshell silk suit sweater might just be the ticket. Did you order the hickey cover too?

Okay, here's the P one, works for me!

This is so much fun, I love spending other people's money!:D

Earthlink is down at my house and I'm actually at Panera Bread in my pajamas. I might not be on much today.

Taffy 06-19-2007 10:55 AM

Should we warn her about the scarf, AMN?

Warn me Taffy. Please. :p

Red jacket arrived on front porch today while I was working my freakin' butt off in the hot sun today. Yup I be stupid....

Nice jacket!

Stopped by WalMart on the way home, no white shirts! :D So I ran across the street to TCBY and bought a Cappucinno cooler instead. That made me feel better anyway!

That should get AMN's attention.

first off she knows I don't shop at WalMart and second, if I bought a white shirt there, she be jumping through my screen and wringing my neck!

Back to the ranch....Eggshell? Gotta go looking in the closet again. I still think white.

When are we going to bury that eggplant dress? It needs a proper burial. :D

Taffy 06-19-2007 05:35 PM

It came all ready! That was fast! Now for the blouse!

Not to say anything bad about WalMart.... I'm Union...we will leave it at that...

Now to the scarf.

Will you be wearing one?

If you do ....muffled connection......

Not to worry about the scarf Miss Taffy! IT'S TOO DARN HOT! And someone might get the idea to strangle me with it! LOL!

Taffy 06-19-2007 06:44 PM

That's right!

No scarf!

Scarves are for puppy dogs!

AfterMyNap 06-19-2007 07:46 PM
