yesterday i spent over four hours trying to figure out my amended new york state tax return. today i called the tax department and they gave me help. the woman was so sweet. I hope I got it.
now i saw another error. I think i want to go back to bed. also i weight three pounds lighter than i did yesterday. I was so relieved. I must have had a lot of salt. I have never had so much trouble with taxes.I think my brain isn't functioning as it used. maybe it is the medications. i am going to skip senior center today. I have a telephone class on Jewish Mysticism at one. I really enjoy the teacher. I hope it helps. Yesterday i became so sad...not depressed just really sad. I keep on thinking of my former friend who I just found died of breast cancer and worried about my friend who had breast cancer two years ago and still drinks heavily.

You've been sad a lot lately and the taxes are stressful. I would imagine it's hard to concentrate. At least the lady on the phone was nice. I'll be very happy for you when they're over and done with.

i think i just finished the taxes and copied them. now i will wait another day to see if i can catch any other errors and probably on friday send them certified receipt again and enclose a copy of the two certified receipts.
I can't believe it but i won't feel relieved until they are in the mail.

I often wait a day to review things with fresh eyes. It's amazing what you can catch.

i am still working on them and my anxiety is through the roof. when i made copies of them on some i left off the top of the form....i need a break...i keep on messing up

They've waited this long and you don't owe the government any money... They will not penalize you...

Put the taxes away somewhere you can't see them for a day or two, get your eye taken care of and then pick up where you left off.

I know procrastination is not the best way to deal with things, but I really don't see how giving yourself another day or two is going to hurt you here. It seems like you were in better shape anxiety-wise when you first started redoing your return a couple of days ago. I think you need some time away from it.

I think you are right. I just ordered more paper from staples. i have been going through so much because of the mistakes.Yesterday Pudge sat on the papers i have written. she hardly ever goes on that table. then she spent time under the table. i figured she was picking up a lot of my energy.

i think i finished the taxes. i found even more dumb mistakes. pudge has been lying on the printer all day so i had to hand copy some of the duplicates which i keep.my anxiety is still high but not through the roof. of course i took another clonopin an hour ago.
i will check them over again on sunday to be sure and probably mail them on monday

i just found another mistake. this is amazing.i took an extra klonopin. now i have to change four forms and put them in order. I already printed them out. I still haven't gone over the whole thing again.
my eye really shows the bump now. more compresses. i read they should be on from five to ten minutes.

Can you use tax software? Or are your taxes too complicated? You can download the software straight to the computer from Amazon, etc. Print out the forms and send them in with your documentation or e-file if you can.

It sounds like you are already at the point where you either need a friend to help, use TurboTax/H&R Block software, or an accountant.

It's not worth the level of anxiety that it's producing.

i just called an accountant who got good reviews. it said she was affordable.
she is supp;osed to call me back. i just got her answering machine.

thanks....she hasn't returned my call yet. ,my mind is racing. i don't owe any money so maybe they won't care if i make a mistake. the extra klonopin didn't work. I am so uncomfortable. I even had two pints of pumpkin ice cream. so now on top of everything else i feel a little sick lol

No wonder why you're having trouble with the taxes... they sound very complex.
You'll feel much better having a professional take care of this for you. I know it will be hard to wait for her to call you back, to wait for an appointment, and to wait for her to finish your return, but you don't owe so it will be okay. In the long run you will feel much better.

Don't be too hard on yourself about the ice cream. I'm very bad with ice cream when I get into it, too. I'm with Mari... how is pumpkin ice cream?

I must say the first pint was fabulous...not too sweet just right. then i immediately started on the second pint. no a good idea. it was still soothing...i didn't feel that great for a few hours.
last night was weird...i had romantic dreams. I thought i would have nightmares. I just couldn't remember my telephone number...weird

that is aa great idea. I was thinking of it yesterday since it is practically all done and i just have a couple more questions on qualified dividends and the carrover loss.
I will try again this morning to look at the form i am having trouble with.
I am wondering if i just sent it in since i don't owe any money unless they don't accept my carry over long term losses which i partially used to offset gain I will get in trouble. I have to think a little more about it. I caught two more mistakes but somehow with zero income, i don't think they will bother me unless they don't accept the carry over loss. that an accountant can't help me with.
i think the ice cream definitely helped because i was much calmer this morning when i worked on them again. I can't tell if my eyelid is better. there is still a little bump but i think the swelling has really gone done..

You may be making more mistakes by continuing to go over your taxes repeatedly... I wouldn't talk myself out of an accountant. You don't want to have your return rejected and have to go through this nightmare again- just my opinion, take it or leave it.

The swelling has gone down, but it may take more time with warm compresses for the cyst to shrink. Did the eye doc recommend using baby shampoo at all?

he didn't mention any shampoo ...just warm compresses six times a day.
the accountant still hasn't called back.

Would you be comfortable calling the tax agency, NOt sure is state or federal.
I know that when we sometimes make mistakes, the agency corrects the
problem for us. Its always been in our favor so far. But wondering
if you could do the same. And go ahead and send it in.

The IRS corrected my 2007 return for me. I actually paid too much, and they sent me a check for the difference. It took a long time, though.

I've been using tax software ever since.

I wish you the best of luck in whatever method you choose to finish your taxes.

And more importantly, I hope you get some relief from your anxiety.

thanks so much...last night i bottomed again and became severely depressed.
i am okay today. i reviewed the taxes today and i think i am okay. did the irs correct them without your asking them to do it?
My experiences so far with the IRS workers and ny state workers have been good.
the accountant still didn't call me back. she is probably on vacation
