I can understand feeling frightened with these things going on since they are new and unusual for you :hug::hug:

What did your PCP have to say when you saw him?

If you have any new or worsening symptoms, please go to the ER. Your life is precious and you are loved :hug::hug:

In the past I have seen patients recover very well from strokes. In many cases, fully. The quicker rehab begins, if needed, the better the results

mymorgy 06-19-2016 10:15 AM

i am already seeing improvement but just a little bit. I had changed the keyboard right before it happened-
pudge and tiramisu are getting friendlier

Hopeful Healing

The information Mari has showed is very hopeful! :D

Sending love and support your way.

I remain hopeful for you! :D

I'm so glad you're seeing a little improvement Bobby. Even a tiny bit is good. Practicing typing is probably a good thing to do right now, although I can understand it may be frustrating.

It must be nice to see the kitties getting along well :)

Thinking of you :hug::hug::hug:

Dmom3005 06-20-2016 08:18 AM

I'm so glad your seeing some improvement also. Keep working on the
typing and take the walks with Cecelia should also help.

bizi 06-21-2016 09:35 PM

Dear bobby,
I am trying to get caught up with everyone.
Are you still taking the topamax?
Are you taking statins medication for cholesterol?
both of these medications can mess with our memory of normal tasks.
or do you really think you had a TIA? (mini-stroke)
Did you go see your doctor about this?

OhKay 06-22-2016 06:59 AM

I want to wish you good luck at the neurologist today Bobby. I hope that he has some answers for you and a good plan of action up his sleeve. Even if he doesn't think it was a mini stroke, he may have some suggestions :hug::hug:

bizi 06-22-2016 08:47 AM

Thank you kay, so she sees a neuro today. that is good.

aspirin doesn't work for everbody

Dmom3005 06-23-2016 08:51 AM

Bobby

If that means you take an aspirin everyday and it didn't work. I think
it might have. A different way to think of it. It wasn't as bad as it could
be.

Donna :hug::grouphug:

mymorgy 06-23-2016 09:18 AM

She said it doesn't work for some people

Mari 06-23-2016 02:30 PM

The lack of any apparent reduction in disabling stroke or vascular death contrasts with the established value of antiplatelet treatment after occlusive vascular disease.

OhKay 06-24-2016 08:26 AM

Interesting Mari.

Were you taking aspirin daily before you noticed the new symptoms, Bobby? Or did you just take it when you noticed them?

I'm glad you are having the MRI, too. This will give the neurologist a better idea of how to treat you.

Mari 06-25-2016 03:31 AM

Bobby,

Wishing you good days and nights. :) :) :)

mymorgy 06-25-2016 05:59 AM

Hopeful for Your Healing, Bobby!

Hi Bobby,

It's so important you are getting good neurological care! :D

Did you happen to mention your sleeping difficulties to your neurologist?

I am having a difficult time sleeping this summer, too.

What helps you to relax and sleep, Bobby?
Were you sleeping before the small stroke?

((((( Bobby ))))))
Continued prayer and support for your ongoing recovery!

mymorgy 06-25-2016 09:35 AM

Bizi,

Sleep is very very very complicated. It is also very personal.
Each person has different needs and the methods to work with those needs
change.
