Jeff just started taking a statin. Not sure whwat his total was but he has a family history of heart disease, his dad had quad bypass surgery.
not good. I liked the article alot. exercise is good for so many reasons....if only I would do it again. Jeff is at the gym! First day back for him in many months. First client canceled this morning due to a move and being in a psych hospital... Had a break, back to work I go. home by 6;30 I hope. bizi |
Side effects of statins and herbs that mimic statins
Good for Jeff going to the the gym. Exercise and Losing weight will probably lower the cholesterol.
Side effects of the statins are horrible. My dad had back pain . . . also has permanent nerve damage. (He did not listen to my advice when I told him 10 years ago not to take that shlT. Periodically I would remind him that he needed to go off them. ) Finally, within the last year, he got a new doctor who took him off the statin. Dad actually told me that I had was right when had I advised him not to take them. 1. 6736(04)15739-5/abstract]Lancet Selenoprotein sythesis and side-effects of statins. did they make the vascular appointment for you?
look at it this way. it is only 70% blocked. (((((HUGS))))) bizi |
they are going to take an appointment for me. I think i should hear from them today, NewYork-Presbyterian i think is rated the best hospital in the country.
I am vacillating between okay and terror |
I'm sorry that you have the blockage and will need a procedure Bobby. I can understand that it must be scary :hug::hug:
This procedure will help prevent future health problems, so it is rather a blessing in disguise, not that that will help reduce your anxiety much. Please try to focus on the reputation of the hospital, the experience of the doctor who will be doing the procedure, and the positive outcome you can expect from the procedure itself and maybe that will help a little :hug::hug: You are in my thoughts and I will say some good words for you :hug::hug: |
you were very comforting
love bobby |
Sending more hugs
