OhKay 07-06-2016 08:05 AM

I hope you get your results soon, too :hug::hug:

If you don't hear anything by Friday morning, I would call the office and ask for someone to explain you results to you.

mymorgy 07-06-2016 08:47 AM

bizi 07-07-2016 08:24 AM

oh gosh bobby I have never heard of having to wear them for 2 weeks.
That is a long time!!!
When I had to wear one it was for the weekend. I was having skipped heart beats...basically it came back that is was anxiety. It went away mysteriously just as it came about.
sigh

I have heard of wearing it a couple weeks. They want a complete reading
from what I understand. Because of the issues with a stroke I'm guessing
that is why.

OhKay 07-08-2016 12:24 PM

I think I wore one for a week? Not sure.
It will be okay. It's for a good cause.

I'm sorry you have to go through even more testing :hug::hug:

mymorgy 07-08-2016 03:05 PM

i have an appointment with the vascular specialist on july 20 at 11:30

bizi 07-08-2016 09:59 PM

Maybe you could do some research about options for supplemental treatments.
Have you ever heard of chelation therapy? It is delivered IV and it helps to clean out your system like for people who have had heart attacks.
Instead of your heart you had a brain attack so the theory may be applicable for that as well.
Am not sure.

i have to trust the doctor. i am going to be very passive. i might ask if i can go home the same day to save 1000 dollars. my friend said i should spend the money to feel safe with the nurses.

OhKay 07-10-2016 08:06 AM

You have heart problems AND have had a stroke… I think I would be fairly passive about doing what my doctors recommended as well. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't look up the treatments or procedures after they told me what they were recommending though. It's always good to know what to expect. I know we both do better with more information.

If your doc wants you to spend the night in the hospital following your procedure, do it. Your life is more precious than money :hug::hug:

mymorgy 07-10-2016 11:07 AM

you are probably right. today i am so done. ii feel hopeless. yesterday i felt okay. my typing is better...a lot better since the stroke, my mood is disgusting

bizi 07-10-2016 11:31 AM

I am sorry your mood is disgusting .

When I was diagnosed with MS I went through a grieving process. You may be going through something similar yourself right now. It's hard to absorb and accept significant threats to our health :hug::hug:

I'm so sorry that you have had such a tough year and are having to face such difficult health problems right now. It must be so hard, Bobby :hug::hug:

We are here for you whenever you need us :hug::hug:

Dmom3005 07-11-2016 09:25 AM

I think its going to be an up and down time till you know what to expect and what is going to happen.

I'm sending good vibes .

Do you already know what procedure you will be having done?
I can see how reading about the possible procedures would be scary. Hearing more about them from your doctor or surgeon should be easier to understand and more reassuring.

I hope all goes well getting your halter monitor today. It will be a bit uncomfortable and inconvenient for those 10 days, but it's for a good cause :hug::hug:

I wish I could lift you up and make you feel better my friend :hug::hug:

mymorgy 07-12-2016 10:21 AM

thank you. i don't know what is happening. i am so nervous

OhKay 07-13-2016 09:01 AM

My best advice is: Don't read anything else about these procedures until you have had a discussion about what you are having done with your doctor. It will only increase your anxiety.

It is hard not to know, especially with everything that is going on, has gone on. But there is a lot of info out there that is technical, sounds scary, and probably doesn't even apply to you. You don't need to add to your anxiety. Also, don't let others speculate on what you will have done based on their own past experiences. Their conditions may be/may have been much different than yours :hug::hug:

Thinking of you Bobby :hug::hug::hug:
