Thank you all! :)

I am 36 now… wondering if it is time to upgrade my wrinkle cream?

bizi 07-12-2016 08:33 AM

LOL
I still use acne medicine!

I'm 58 and still don't do wrinkle cream. I think any wrinkles are an honor as I get older. I do use a medicine the doctor prescribed for rosacea.

Happy Birthday. I'm late sorry.

I still use an acne med, mainly because of stubborn old acne from the lithium I stopped about a year ago. It was really, really bad. Much better now, but still some hangers on. But I still get occasional zits, too.

Right now, I use a mild wrinkle cream by Clarins for women in their 30s. I'm not wrinkly now. I don't want to be in the future though because I don't wear make up. I have sensitive skin… don't want to have to worry about the heavy duty stuff making me break out, so I'll probably wait.

My grandmother passed away at 95. She looked like she was in her early 80's. When my aunts cleaned out her house they found about a hundred different wrinkle creams, etc. lol.

my dermatoligist told me that acne in adults is rosacea. I had my first break out 4 years ago. Pimples and bumps all over my face. It was terrible. It took many months to all go a way, I have sensitive skin too. I have 2 on my face today. one that I have been picking at and is finally going away. and the on there on my nose, a white head.
sorry if too much info....
sigh

My dermatologist said I have mild rosacea. It manifests as red cheeks-- no
acne.

My dad has Rosacea. He takes minocycline (sp?) when it acts up.

I'm sorry you still have to deal with those problems Bizi. It's not TMI. It's hard to treat skin conditions like that when you have sensitive skin.

My acne would be long gone, but the first topical med my dermatologist gave me tore my face up. It was a mess… even worse than what I was dealing with before. I didn't want to leave the apartment it was so bad.

I picked at my face which made it worse and got infected and I wore a big bandaid on my face for a couple of weeks.

I know things like that can be embarrassing (((HUGS)))
I'm a picker, too.

I can't help it when there's an issue. My acne from the lithium was SO bad it was impossible not to touch it. I have some scars because I messed with it, but the acne was so deep, I would have had some scars anyway.

I also pick out of anxiety and have been doing it recently. I can spend an hour with my nose pressed up to the mirror. I have ways of preventing acne afterwards if there were no real problems like zits to begin with. I can't believe my skin isn't in worse shape.

My husband's a big time picker. He won't touch his face unless he has a zit, but he picks his arms and somehow he gets to his shoulders and parts of his back. He has a lot of very big scars.
