how did you like em?

mymorgy 07-21-2016 12:50 AM

what do you by em

Mari 07-21-2016 02:21 AM

One doctor doing the procedure

Bobby,

Is this right?

(1) Dr. Patsalides is the vascular doctor doing the stent procedure: Athos Patsalides, MD, MPH- NewYork-Presbyterian

(2) And the cardiologist is the doctor who has to clear you for the procedure?

M

OhKay 07-21-2016 05:12 AM

Were you comfortable with the doctor, and did he explain the procedure so that you understand what he will be doing?

Will you be staying overnight?

How do you feel since seeing the doctor?

mymorgy 07-21-2016 08:55 AM

he seems fine

mymorgy 07-21-2016 10:27 AM

i am not going to use general aniizethi spze

OhKay 07-22-2016 07:28 AM

It is riskier with your health conditions, so I understand your decisions not to go under general anesthesia. You will still be comfortable and unaware of what's going on :hug::hug:

When is the halter monitor coming off?
Have you been able to get in touch with your cardiologist about getting cleared yet? Or are they waiting for the results of the halter monitor?

You must be very nervous. I'm wish circumstances were different and you didn't have to go through this :hug::hug:

mymorgy 07-22-2016 09:34 AM

monitor off. card. app. day before operation. i will be aware of what is going on. they will talk to me. they are picking up the monitor today. it ssed up middle of last night.i figured it was past 12
tonite i am having a hamburg plannter with ymmy french fries and either soup or salad, maybe my last ood meal. i called properbety manager and left a message about the lease desposit check not being cashed

bizi 07-22-2016 09:42 AM

OhKay 07-23-2016 06:45 AM

I hope the property manager gets back to you soon so you will have one less worry.

I'm glad you don't have to worry about the halter monitor any more. If you have problems getting any adhesive off, nail polish remover works well, but don't use it on any broken skin.

I understood that you are seeing the cardiologist the day before your operation, but didn't catch when your operation is scheduled for… ?
I wish you could sleep through it. I think that would be easier?

Your dinner sounds great. I hope you enjoy it Bobby :hug::hug:

mymorgy 07-23-2016 08:15 AM

Thursday is the operation if i get the clearance. Today is the first day of my self imposed physical therapy. I will correct all the mistakes.. It sounds much safer to be awake during the operation. I will treat myself to another plate of french fries and soup which was clam chowder and i don't know if I will have the salad. I will call myself a hero. I left a message for the manager to call me
and said I was going to have surgery. I have the signed lease.
all the mistakes are corrected. yippee

I know it's bad, but if it was me, I would be eating all the tasty **** I could up until the night before surgery :p

I think it's great that you have decided to do PT on your own.

Being awake is probably a lot safer. I'm glad that you have a positive attitude about that. You are brave :)

bizi 07-24-2016 09:38 AM

Wondering how you will know if the cardiologist clears you? Will they call you or the surgeons office?
Did you say when preop is scheduled or not yet?

thanks so much. the rent deposit was such a relief and the surgeon said i would feel a numbness and a slight burning and a lot would be going on during the hour or hour or hour and a half

OhKay 07-25-2016 05:39 AM

My mother had brain tumors removed twice and had to be awake. They were long surgeries, but she didn't remember much afterwards though. I hope that's the case with you :hug::hug:

mymorgy 07-25-2016 08:15 AM

your poor mother. just called up the cardiologist to see if i had an electrocardiogram. I have had so many tests and the surgery requires one, He said I did have one two months ago, I am in a strange place. I wish i could have gone for a walk with cecilia.I am not that stressed consciously about the surgery but i am waiting for the flood gates to burst. I just took a bath. My anxiety is very high. It is back. I hope nothing triggers me. I realized something so if all goes well i might say something when i came back.
bobby

OhKay 07-26-2016 08:27 AM

I'm glad that you are experiencing some denial. It can be very useful. I hope that it carries you along as long as you need it :hug::hug:

I'm so sorry that your anxiety is very high. I hope you are treating it with your klonopin, and that is helping a little :hug::hug:

Thinking of you today :hug::hug::hug:

Wanting to wish you well with your appointment with the cardiologist today.
And your stent tomorrow.

mymorgy 07-26-2016 08:48 AM

thanks so much. my cardiologist is tomorrow and the surgery is thursday. a my anxiety is back. I so feel like crying. Now I am worried about money too.
then i am worried about weight. I wonder what the air conditioner bill is going to be. I ave been running it non stop except for last night. I have been manic but i think that has stopped. I told myself i would not go to the senior center but now i might go. my typing has gotten worse again.I might have to take more money out again to make me feel more secure. If I pass this huddle of surgery next one is scrie senior rent freeze otherwise my rent goes up three hundred plus a month. I will have the social worker help me again.
the procedure will last between one to one and one and half hours conscious. then I if all goes right i will lie on my back from 2 to 5 hours.
bobby

bizi 07-26-2016 09:03 AM

OhKay 07-27-2016 06:34 AM

I'm glad that you're going to get some help from the social worker. Since she has helped you in the past, that should alleviate some worry there.
If taking more money out will make you feel more secure, then you should do it. You have so many worries already :hug::hug:

Even though you'll be awake for the procedure, you may be sleepy, so the time will probably go by fast. I have a feeling you will sleep for a lot of the time following the surgery :hug::hug:

mymorgy 07-27-2016 06:52 AM

i hope so. maybe the dentist uf he us free and able ca remove them if necessary

OhKay 07-27-2016 10:22 PM

Was the appointment with the cardiologist today, and the surgery tomorrow?
Or is this all happening next week?

If you saw the cardiologist, I hope everything went well and he eased some of your anxiety.

If your surgery is tomorrow, I hate the thought that you may think that you are not in my thoughts.

I hope all goes well :hug::hug:
All my love,

Kay
