mymorgy 08-16-2016 02:48 AM

i finally gave up and made some coffee. I am going to be so tired with the social worker

OhKay 08-16-2016 05:56 AM

I wish I could help you Bobby :hug::hug:

It's definitely a question worth asking the neurologist. Are you seeing her tomorrow, or next week?

You mentioned you might try taking more risperdal on your own. Did you ever end up doing that?

I can't blame you for being so frustrated. You must be exhausted :hug::hug:

mymorgy 08-16-2016 06:58 AM

i see her tomorrow. i did take more risperdal and am less agitated.

bizi 08-16-2016 09:15 AM

I am glad to read that.
((((HUGS))))

so sorry about your sleeping. Have you ever tried seroquil at night to sleep?
bizi

mymorgy 08-16-2016 09:43 AM

just made me feel like a zombie

mymorgy 08-16-2016 04:52 PM

i took a benedryl and i think it worked. i slept for two hours. i woke up groggy and depressed but i slept.

Mari 08-17-2016 03:00 AM

Bobby,

'Hope it goes well with the neurologist.

I hope each day is better for you.

M

OhKay 08-17-2016 06:32 AM

I'm glad that the risperdal helped with your agitation. Does that make you feel a little bit more comfortable?

I'm so sorry that your insomnia is so bad at this point that getting 2 hours sleep is an improvement :hug::hug:
But I'm glad that you feel like the Benadryl helped. Maybe you could ask the neurologist if it's okay to try taking a higher dose of it?

I'm happy you're seeing the neurologist today. I hope that you can get some of the questions you need answered, and hopefully some solutions to help you.

I'll be thinking of you today Bobby, and hoping your appointment goes well :hug::hug:

mymorgy 08-17-2016 07:13 AM

i slept two hours in the a fternoon after the benedryl which was good and then slept okay at night. it really worked. i am still tired but i know i absorbed the sleep. I don't know what i am going to ask her. I guess some suggestions.

bizi 08-17-2016 07:41 AM

Glad that you got some sleep.

I have a couple of ideas. Take what you want, leave the rest:

How much of the depression, agitation, and insomnia are from the stroke?
Does she recommend the same treatment you are receiving for bipolar disorder? Or may other treatments be helpful instead, or in addition to that?

What kind of rehab does she recommend based on your symptoms, and the area of you brain effected by your stroke?

Does she recommend any other type of rehab or treatment that might be helpful for you?

mymorgy 08-17-2016 08:29 AM

thanks. i will bring then up
bobby

bizi 08-17-2016 08:34 AM

In fact bobby you could print these out to bring with you along with any other questions you may come up with.

I just tried benedry and it seemed to help me sleep. I ordered a small ball to squeeze.
Any exercises at home I can do? I do type a lot on the computer. Will the symptoms get better by themselves? With more blood to the brain will that improve my fanctioning> will reading help

mymorgy 08-17-2016 08:48 AM

bizi

mymorgy 08-19-2016 08:12 AM

yes! I don;t know if it was a one day wonder like benedril but i slept and i didn[t wake up groggy. my right upper arm hurt again when i woke up ...i hope it was nothing.

bizi 08-19-2016 08:36 AM

does you upper right arm hurt all day or just when you get up after sleeping? HOw long has it been bothering you?
bizi

mymorgy 08-19-2016 08:48 AM

a few days and when i get up..it lasts for a while. i haven't timed it. i think i would be more worried if it were the left arm. i have also had so many tests recently before the surgery.

Dmom3005 08-19-2016 11:56 AM

:hug:Just tell the doctor.

Donna :grouphug:

mymorgy 08-19-2016 12:00 PM

i am seeing the doctor on tuesday. i think it is the way i am sleeping because it goes away

bizi 08-19-2016 01:52 PM

I think you are right bobby.
bizi

ger715 08-19-2016 10:25 PM

Bobby,
At least you are getting some good days with sleep. You were so deprived; even a few days has to be an improvement.

Maybe you are sleeping on the right side longer than usual. The fact that it does not last is a good sign.
