Healthcare bill worries.
 

I'm worried about the healthcare bill again. Are they trying to replace it? I'm worried about it. I can't get it out of my head. I feel very depressed.

Am I going to lose my healthcare coverage? Am I going to loose my Medicaid? BF:hug::hug::hug:

I am with you and so are lots of people protesting, calling their senators, and

working for our care.

Try not to think about it too much. It will not start / take effect immediately after they pass it and it can be undone.
In other words, a new law could come into being before it even is scheduled to take affect.

I think this bill will probably bomb, too. But I can understand why you are worried, BF :hug::hug::hug:

I would try to avoid the news if you can because here are a lot of inflammatory statements coming out, some of which could be very upsetting :hug:

This has triggered depression. I feel tired also. I hope that everyone else is feeling okay.

I am avoiding the news like a plague. It's on my Facebook also. BF:hug::hug::hug:

avoid listening to what is a lot of talk without any real action.

If you feel the need; talk with your counselor which can be reassuring.

I have been in a major depression too. everything is too much. I still listen to the news and msnbc doesn't think from the interviews that it will be passed.
I really like John McCain. I now think he is a national hero! I am certain people will follow him!

I couldn't watch the news at all last week. It was very overwhelming.

I felt the torment of fear tonight. It is tormenting feeling between my chest, and mind. Then I heard that people like John McCain are going to vote, "No". That's a relief. I know that it isn't over yet.

It seems like the national news have people who are manipulators of current events for some sort of gain. It is shameful. BF:hug::hug::hug:

You are so right about that; the news and many of the TV channels are pretty much manipulating the people to their views of what is going on in the world. This has been going on for several years now.

We lost the old time reporters that just gave you the news and never let on what their own views were;.....they just reported the news and not their views......I really miss those days....

I wouldn't have liked that bill being passed, but I'm not happy that nothing's being done. All these law makers are behaving like children…

The repeal/replace window closes at the end of the month.

If lawmakers from both parties REALLY want to help their constituents, they will have no choice but to get together and find some kind of compromise to fix the laws we have now.

I still like the idea of letting nonviolent criminals out of jail and using the money for healthcare

I was listening to the news. They are going to try to pass the healthcare bill again next year around the mid-term elections. I didn't like hearing that.

I hope that John McCain will be in the government next year. I don't know how healthy he will be. He has cancer. I'm sorry that he has that. BF:hug::hug::hug:

maybe enough republicans will quit and trump will get scared and side more with the democrats. he hates to be a loser which he is-disgusting man

I sent a letter to my state senator whom I really like

My senators keep calling me to get me to listen in on telephone town halls. I wish they would stop calling. I don't like either of them, and don't want to hear what they have to say. I don't answer the phone, so I get LONG BS messages...

Those offices have a pretty aggressive agenda.

I blocked some calls on our landline but it was a hassle and did not really work -- rather complicated to do it right. (Maybe new landline phones are easier)

Finally I seriously considered unplugging the phones but Hubby still gives
out his landline phone number and his work uses that to call him sometimes.

I have a caller ID on my phone, and when it rings, I turn it on, and then turn it off if I don't recognize the number. That way they can't broadcast through my answering machine recorder. BF:hug::hug::hug:

if nobody immediately answers I hang up

I give out my landline for most things and screen my calls. I feel like it's less intrusive than having people call my cell all the time. I get email notifications if someone leaves a message, and I can forward my landline calls to my cell if I'm expecting an important call to my home number.

I don't think call blocking is worth it... the telemarketers and scammers change their numbers too often.
