Comfortable Mouse For TOS?
 

Hey!
I am really sorry to have to ask this. Do you know of a good comfortable mouse?

I had been using a simple Dell mouse that I had bought in 2014. I use the mouse on my lap and therefore ended up dropping it a few too many times and it now only works half the time.

I tried to replace it with the same model but I guess the exact same mouse is now made a little different (although it looks the same). It feels 'harder' when clicking. My 2014 mouse is very soft when clicking.

I also bought a simple logitech mouse at the store but the wheel was very clicky/sticky and didn't glide and it made my forearm hurt a lot.

Any advice on a nice soft clicking mouse?

Does anyone use an ipad (touch-screen) but if you do, how do you save large amounts of files on a small device -- or back them up?

I had to test out many at the bigger stores to find ones that were best for me.. or thrift store/goodwill...
Logitech B100 works great for me.. but might be too small for some people.

Thank you Jomar! Unfortunately, that is the one that caused me issue! ha!

I used a handheld trackball (which I held behind my back) for a couple of years when I was unable to use a mouse for longer than 10 seconds.
But I would not call it comfortable and it took a lot of time to get used to.

Tablets are evil as far as ergonomics goes. I am trying very hard to avoid them.

Trackball. I can put it on my lap. I use the big kensington one. You can usually find them refurbed on amazon wharehouse deals.

Mice never worked for me. Wireless is nice option too.

Touch pads are the worst for me.

What part of a track ball set up are you clicking when you need to click something?

This is the trackball that I have used alot. It helps because, I do not have to move my arm all the time. It has buttons just like a mouse.

Mine has four buttons and is huge. The buttons can be assigned via software - finger, thumb, fist, whatever. Just to give you an idea of scale, the ball is the size of standard pool cue ball. Can switch up hands, fingers, etc.

Another idea a lot of folks don't know about is that you can get foot "mice" or simple USB pedals to "click". Check amazon for "usb foot mouse" "pedal", etc. A simple pedal clicker is about $15.

My problem is the actual clicking. The track ball seems to be solving arm movement, which is not an issue for me. I actually keep my mouse on my thigh (in combination with a thin cloth). The problem is the clicking, which makes me think a touch pad may be more gentle. Not sure!
