Final 2022 benefit amounts will be communicated to beneficiaries in December through the mailed COLA notice and my Social Security’s Message Center.] Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) Information | SSA |

whelp the medicare trustees were wrong.very wrong. The standard medicare premium is going up to $170.10 a month, a 14.5% increase, and the annual deductible is going up to $233, up from the current $203, which is a 14.7% increase. The cost of living raise is going to be only 5.9%. The cost of a single new alzheimers drug, 56,000 a year, is being cited as the reason for about half of the increases.

I heard we were to get something mailed with the increases and Medicare deduction, as of 12/15 i haven't received anything.
|
Every year they send this out, don't they? No telling when it will arrive but it will probably come along eventually.
|
Mail is slow this time of year..
It can be found on the SSA and/or Medicare gov websites. Or if you have signed up for online SS/Medicare account... my Social Security | SSA |

I'm sure that having that much security is a really good idea though. |

There are reports yesterday that Biogen halved the price of the Alzheimer's drug that fueled half of the increase in the medicare premium and deductible for 2022, to $28,200. of course there will be no rollback of the announced medicare increases though there should be.

Still haven't received a thing, 12/30/21
