Celebrating going to one year after 5 years of 6 month cancer check ups.
 

Hi everyone,

I celebrate today, the anniversary of my getting to go to one year visits.
For the next 5 years. After having to go to the doctor 2 times a year the
last 5 years. Its a good milestone.

It was nice to visit with her today and remember this anniversary.

She had told me 6 months ago this would be my last 6 month visit.

I'm sorry I've been AWOL, but just trying to get some xmas shopping done.

I am pleased to go to once a year, its a nice change. We never got to ring
a bell at either of my cancer centers so I'm thinking I might tell Derrick
we have to get a bell to ring. He has always done the cancer being my
rock with me. So I think its the way to do it.

Any way he got a 1st at bowling today, and just asked for the state bowling
date off. He should be able to get it off without any trouble.

Took Derrick to his neurologist today. He got a good review. And
we had a great breakfast at Hardee's and then I took him to work.

He came home with a uber.

I have been working to lose weight so much. And now I am down to
207, from 212 last time I really weighed myself that wasn't in a doctors
office. I also had my shoes on for this one. So it could be less. I'm so
wanting to hopefully get to 200 by christmas but we will see if I can
keep my eating down. And my walking up so I have a chance to do
it.

Didn't weigh myself today. Didn't want to know what I put myself
up to today.

But will probably on Sunday.

Anyway, I woke at 5:30am, it was really weird I don't wake that early.
I saw red and blue lights out the window. So I had to get up and figure
out why. There were police and an ambulance a couple of doors down from
Derrick's house. The gentlemen that lives there died in his sleep last night.
Guessing his wife found him when she got up to go Black Friday shopping.

But guess he was on hospice, and had cancer, as his granddaughter said,
on the local Scanner page they hoped he died in his sleep and didn't die
in pain.

That honestly would be the best thing for the family.

My dog Jake went over the rainbow bridge this morning. My husband
Dale let me know last night he was pretty sure it was happening by
this morning. But as you all know I've been expecting it for at least
a month. He has had a really good last month to 6 weeks. Dale
is I wasn't out there has taken good care of him.

Derrick is working tonight, and its really nice out tonight. Tomorrow
he starts basketball, in Monticello about 1 hour away. It should be fun
for him.

he must have had such a wonderful long life. How old was he? Still I am so sorry.

oh donna, am so sorry that jake is gone but he died in his sleep which is a blessing.
how did derrick take it?
I am glad that there is a rainbow bridge for people to recognize as their beloved pets go to heaven too.

Bizi,
Derrick did fine. He has known Jake wasn't doing well for a while now.
He has helped me with his seizures.

Bobby, we aren't positive but believe he was around 17 years old.

Well its been a nice day. And Saturday is the state bowling tournament
which is in Indy. It should be good, lets just hope that Interstate 65 isn't
to bad. If it is then we might not get there in time.

But lets all pray its okay.

I just realized that we are going to be in Indianapolis the same time
as Michigan and Indianpolis are going to play that evening. I"m so
glad we will be back before they play. Also glad we shouldn't be
around were they are.

I hope you avoid all of that traffic!

Got really lucky, avoided all the traffic. We had a bowling time of 9am.

And were finished before 12 noon. And I chose to get out of there by
12. So we were back in Lafayette by 1:30 because I stopped on the far
side of Indy to get a drink and relax before going through the big
construction. But the big mess for the traffic was already behind me.

Derrick got a second, he had really good games. One 101, 89 and a
111. His average is 96, if he had just gotten a little higher he would have
gotten the 1st but he was fine as was I with his silver. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
were within about 5 points of each other. Thats how close they were.

They had a great time bowling. And they all enjoyed themselves. This
was probably one of the best years he has had, no one was bouncing
around and really getting in the way. Which his lane usually has at least
one doing that.

Also forgot to tell you guys Harmony got Artist of the week.

Which was a surprise. I don't think I've had an grandkid or kid
get it in kindergarten before. I'm not sure I've had one get it at
all before older grades. But I do know she loves to draw and color
so I shouldn't have been surprised.

My husband Dale is hiring a lawyer for Kortni, because the apartment
complex she lives in is trying to evict her. And someone in the complex
is also harassing her with trying to get them too. They are sending her
text with really rough wording to upset her and things that are very
bad. Such as you killed your baby girl 20 years ago by laying on her.
When they know it was her ex-husband that did that. Yes, we knew about
that when she was with our son. And all the history she has had.

Its been a lot of the reason for her history with using drugs and things.

But it hasn't stopped with that. THey are also doing other things. LIke
talking about the fact that the apartment complex is trying to evict
her, which isn't open knowledge, so they seem to be behind it.

Someone is texting the management and trying to get her in trouble
by saying she is a noise complaint at night. But the police have shown
up more than once and can prove she isn't the one with the complaint.

SO we will see what happens. The cyber police have also proved its
harrassment the text she is getting and will follow up if they keep texting
her. They have been warned now about if they do anymore. And are
also going to let the complex know about what is going on.
