Thoughts and prayers

Hi everyone, I received a call from my doctor's scheduler today saying the doctor wants me to get my SCS in quicker and if I was available Monday. I said yes, and am now scheduled to get my Permanent SCS in. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I go in about 6pm.

I have also had more spread. I now have it in my left hip and thigh. I am not sure yet if I am just getting phantom pains in my left knee or if it is starting to acquire it too. I get a sharp pain that causes me to stop and think, don't do this, out of my left knee. This is normal in my right knee, however, 10x worse out of my right knee.

Hugs to all.

My new motto:

I AM NOT A DRUG SEEKER, I AM A PAIN RELIEF SEEKER.

Hello Christine,

It is 9.28am your time and 9.44 am here in Australia so I maybe too late with this message. I can't quite get the time differences down pat,
Wishing you luck with your SCS--I hope it is the answer for you.
regards
Tayla:hug:

crpscure - welcome to the boards - I hope you find as much support and useful information as I have.

Everyone here is so sweet and I appreciate more than you know all your kind wishes and prayers.

And yes, I am scared, very scared. So since I am, I am completely flared up right now. Thank goodness for a wonderful pain management doctor who understands my pain and a wonderful Urgent Care doctor who had major compassion for me.

I will be checking in after my surgery, but of course not right away. I will also post pictures to, but I will warn you in case you get queasy.

Hugs to all of you. You mean so much to me and to my sanity.

This one coming up in 4 days. My check in time is at 6 pm. Yes evening hours. I was fit in by my doctor. Either my mom made him feel guilty or it was me calling in pain having drama from my primary. Or it was both. But all I know is that on Tues. I received a call from his scheduler stating your doctor wants you to have your surgery done Monday Aug. 20, are you available? Of course was my reply. So that's how quickly it was set.

My mom works at Kaiser and sees my pain doc every Monday, well she stated, "it is hard to have my daughter call me at 10 pm in pain and there is nothing I can do to help her." Then she said, "do you have children?" He said no, and she said well it is difficult. And during the trial, he remembers her starting to cry and say how happy I sounded and that I haven't sounded that happy since my injury.

Hugs, meds kicking in need to take a nap.
