Friday weekend check in please............
 

It's been a tough week for many of us.

Here is our weekend check in for all to let go and post.

My cousin will be here tomorrow for a week, so I am looking forward to that.

I will post under my PCP appt. for the update, ughhhhhhhhh:(

The hurricane spawned a tornado in a little town not far from here...took out their house....flattened like a pancake....

I have a busy day tomorrow. And I just hope my health is behaving, my
supervisor is coming too. That is not something I was expecting. I ended
up with to big bosses at this activity. Its the reauthorization of the Article 7
which is Indiana's state law. So its something we need to be doing.

I am I believe doing the introduction from the site and the introduction
of the individual from the Department of Education. Because I'm the
local representative. I'm hoping I can handle this and sound professional.

I just don't want to sound stupid. Its not my forta. I'm a quiet person and
not exactly a talker. But this is such a important thing, and the talks or forums as they are being titled are being done all over the state.

Originally they didn't think this area needed to have one. It was because I stood up for my area and even went so far as to write a letter explaining why I thought asking my special needs parent to travel to other areas was a hard ship that wasn't something that shouldn't be done that we were given one.

I just found the article in the paper that I submitted too.

Two people died at work in the past week or so. Also two people related to people at work died.


So tomorrow early a.m. I have to go to a funeral.
I think that next week I have to go to at least one memorial service.


People have started announcing that no can die for a while. I'd like that. We all should get to live so that no one gets left behind and no one goes through any mourning.

Yes, it is hard to figure out what is going on.
So sorry about your co-worker and what you are dealing with.

One of my students is the son of the colleague who died on Thursday. I didn't know this until today because they have different last names.

I think that I will go to his mother's funeral -- depending on where and when it is.

Tomorrow's funeral is for the aunt of a colleague I work closely with. Yeah, I don't like this colleague much, but we are in the same dept and she has been taking care of her aunt for a very long time and the funeral is nearby.... And someone else wants to go with me so I am driving.

YOu did something to help another. Thats exactly what kind of person you are. I really wanted to be there for my co-worker. But it was just to
long a drive for me alone. I have to really think about the drive now.
When its going to be long drives I'm going to have to think about whether
my health will allow me to go. ITs going to be very difficult to say no
to lots of places I want to go. But my health is saying I better if I plan
to be around for the next 30 years.

Today, I went to my area's parent forum for the changes to the state
law for the special education laws. We had a pretty good turn out for
the fact that Purdue is right there too, and they had a home game.
And on top of that they had band day too. Wow, when they planned
this they didn't think of this.

But i'm so happy with our turn out, and i had many of the group that
I knew. It was my area, so it was nice because my specific supervisor
was present. She was also the one doing the introductions, but then
she was the one that knew the presentor from the DOE the best.

And I didn't want to do the introduction anyway, I was going to ask
her if she would mind doing that introduction and the talking. I just
didn't get the chance she let us know she had planned to do it.

HEehee. But that was fine, she let me know I was doing a good job.

thats all I care about, the director of the area, let her know they appreciate
me. And I had a chance to give a card to a parent that was having lots
of trouble or thought she was.
