This article is new out as of this month and is a case study of a person with full body RSD, it's things like this and the articles on spread that can help with my battle with W CB and for understanding..

That is a very interesting article. Can't spell tonight. Took me awhile to figure out how to spell article and still not sure it's right.

She had a lot of the medical problems that I have delt with also Sandel.

What I don't get though is why they are saying that full bodied RSD is unique. How many people on here are full bodied?

I'm glad that they come out with these articles, they do help us to learn from what others are going through and how they live with it.

Do you think that it is unique that she was full bodied or should I say the statistics they are saying of full bodied is right about being rare?

Yes I believe organ involvement and full body is a fair lot more prevelant than the medical comunity realises, and I think that organ involvement is alot more prevelant than WE realise.. that woman's intestinal blockage that turned out to not be was probibly a flare up.

I think Ada that they usualy diagnosed us as having other problems alot when infact it is the RSD like carple tunnel syndrome and gallbladder attacks for instance., I can't think.. man that article hit me hard.. I have to remember that we are all diffrent and just because her spread and symptoms so sound like me dosn't mean I will get that bad.

please remember that she had 20 years of various problems before the RSD started to spread, too ... and RSD is SO unpredictable in every individual that there is really no template for predicting how the disease will progress. That is why the "Phases" model has largely been abandoned...
I did think the article was useful because it is gets out in the open that RSD can spread beyond only one "region" of the body, and also that it can involve multiple "systems" of the body (like gastrointestinal), not just neurologic. So many doctors just don't "get this" and it's so frustrating for people with advancing/ advanced RSD.

Thanks Mollymcm I am usualy the first to say that too, I guess it was that I had never heard my spread and symptoms discribed so acuratly before, I always told the docs that it spread that fast and they always claimed it was fibro on top of RSD.. till lately when I was diagnosed in June with full body generalized CRPS and have searched since for some article that described my symptoms for WCB and for me .. a part of me always hoped it was mabie something else.

But now I can move on as we all have to grieve mourn then deal with it, I guess I hadn't when I thought I had, and I will not end up as bad as that woman I have not had all the invasive surgerys and won't ever without precautions.

Thank you for getting that article I guess I needed it more than I knew and it will help emensly for others with this too and with WCB and insurances to go along with those Dr's notes.

I spoke of diffrent syndromes making up the RSD/CRPS syndrome, I know that she has my syndrome.
