Doug passed 9-25
I will miss him so much. He was in the hospital for almost the last 2 weeks of his life. He was put on life support when entering the hospital and taken off of it that night. It's been very emotional. He perked up 4 days before his death and was back to his old self after being mostly out of it all other times.

((((((Barbara)))))),
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v9...bears-mini.gif I'm glad he was able to stay home until almost the very end. A hospital's not a very nice place. You'll be blesssed for the care and kindness that you showed him. BIG HUG (and love). Barb http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v9...ding-hands.gif |
Sending you hugs Barb

I am so sorry for your loss.

Thank you all. Today I felt somewhat like my BP was getting the best of me but just worn out now. I believe that Doug's passing is affecting my mental health but I know I will be alright one day.

Thank you everyone. Just when i should be close to God, I am kind of angry with him. I hope to get some rest today.

((((((Barbara)))))),
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v9...dinghands1.jpg I know, honey. It's so hard to understand something that's just not understandable, isn't it :( I wish more than anything that you weren't having to go through this. I am glad, though, that you got the time to spend with a nice man and the memories from that time too. One day those memories will be a blessing and a comfort. BIG HUGS (and love). Barb  |
Thank you all. I am starting to think of the good times with Doug tonight leaving me with a lot of smiles.

It's ok to be angry at God Barbara...he can take it. Glad you are remembering some good times with Doug. (((Barbara)))

We have not met here before but I read back a bit and I feel sincere sympathy for you at this time. Care givers face a special challenge when they grieve because their role in life is altered the moment they can no longer give care and must instead focus on their own needs. Its quite a shift.I think ,as Dorrie says you will be OK again..and for now here is a cyber hug. Thank you Jo, Alffe, and Mia.
Mia, you are so right about us caregivers. I am doing better as time goes on. I know that keeping busy is helping and being around people. befuddled2 |
