Okay, I almost never complain about what this miserable disease is doing and has done to me. Today, I whine.:Dunno:
When I got home from my most excellent adventure, I allowed the calm to wash over me and I somehow managed to let MS rear its ugly head. I can now barely type, can't walk more than 10 steps with walker, can't stand still and upright for more than 4 minutes, and can't seem to stay focussed on anything.:Noooo: I'm goin' nuts, I tell ya'! My mind is going full speed but like a train with no tracks... like an empty blender... like an elementary school with no adults present! There are tons of things I want to do and should do, none of it makes sense to me.:Bang-Head: I just want OUT of this body! Okay, I feel better. Thank you, and do please carry on.:o |

You are entitled to whine Miss Traveller! Rest. Your body is telling you that's what you need. Carry on.... |
So long as the adventure was worth it . . . it was worth it. That's the way I look at it anyway. :p
I went to Chicago (Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana and Minnesota too) last Sept, and paid for it till after Xmas. In fact, I think I'm still paying for it. :D But, it WAS worth it! Cherie |
From your sig. line....... For every day I want to play, I set aside a day to pay That dear Cindy is what I was afraid might happen. It's hard to keep the pace you kept without paying for it. You have every right to whine .......if you don't like hugs......:Poke: |
Oh shut up.

Sounds like it's margarita time!!! |
Whine all you want, Cindylouwho, and don't apologise for it. You earned it. That most excellent adventure may have been fun, but it was also a bunch of work.
When you came back and you finally let your muscles relax...they RELAXED!!!! The only exercise you should be doing now is, perhaps, stretching out those overworked muscles, and then turn on the TV and don't do nuttin else. Momma has spoken. |
HELLO! It's me you're posting to here. It was an example, I assure you, the blender here is never empty. In fact, it misses me and since I'm grounded and confused anyway, I think I'll call the chicks and have them come down and fire it up for me!
I have Mudslide, Strawberry Margarita, Regular Margarita... martinis... we are rockin' the cashbox! Can anyone carry me to the phone??? |

PODH is not a Bronco fan only because he went to the rival school Univ of Idaho. We tease him relentlessly. When I was going to school at BSU, I was tempted to get him a UofI shirt that said My Wife goes to BSU and I am paying for her tuition! Now he pays for season football tickets to BSU games! LOL! He goes. And he also watches BSU beat up his Vandals. Bring on the blender! Drinks around! I am cooking venison tonight! (although I cannot eat it, but everyone else can!) I will just drink...:D |
AMN,
If I had done half what you did, I'd need a month in bed. Give yourself a break! You did good on your excellent adventure, but you need to rest! |
Thanks ya'll. No improvement on the mobility but my attitude is a little better.
I was irritated by all this and really felt like yelling at someone. You all are just so convenient!;) I can't lie, I'm pretty happy with having made the trip and had so much fun seeing thngs and meeting a bunch of great people. I'm blessed beyond measure and sometimes it makes me think that I somehow deserve more. That is not the case! I knew I'd have to rest awhile, I just hate doing it!!:o |
Feeling any better today, Cindy? Time is on your side...just let it flow.:p
|
Nah, still have MS:mad:
I imagine that it will take awhile, thanks. I am however, thinking about getting dressed. woo hoo. |
Cindy you are the strongest person with MS I've ever met to date. Hell, you're the strongest person I've ever met period! Hang in there lady! By the way, your pants are on backwards!~~~Jess

If I had a laptop I'd be hanging out with my girls here alot more often. Right now I'm still stuck with the desktop and it's very uncomfortable for me to sit here at it. :( Ghosthunters is Live tonight at the Waverly Sanatorium! YAY!!!!! That's where AMN would stash DM if the place were still open......she'd stash her in the loony toon wing! LOL

*checking pockets* hm, a lintball, gumwrapper, yo-yo string, harmonica, rock, scissors, paper clip, AH HAH!!!! A NICKEL!!!!!!!:Excited: Open schmopen, I'd rather stick her in there as is! Way more fun!! |
OK, so did you get your clothes on yet, Cinders?
I never get dressed anymore, unless I have to go to the Docs or some other thrilling place. I have what you call, hostess robes or outfits....very comfy and yet decent enough to answer the door. I never wear shoes, either...they keep falling off anyway. I hope you're feeling more like yourself soon.. |

You'd be so proud, Sal! I got dressed on Tuesday, got my hair cut & colored (FINALLY!) and got my new driver's license pic, and even got the pretty new plate that matches my car. :icecream:
Even though I'll have to memorize a new number, just knowing it compliments my car's color will amuse me for a good while. It cost five extra bucks, I might add. Today, dressing 101 turned into "skip it" 650. I just kind of dropped the notion when I felt more like taking a nap. I hear you on the easy-wear & care garb. As I type, my newly-arrived Flyshacker flannel loungepants are in the washer. They're a happy medium between jammies and clothes and I live in them most of the winter anymore. I lop off the restricting parts of matching sweatshirts and look like someone who needs a free meal, but I so don't care!:o |

My dad played the harmonica and I miss it. He was good. He used to play along with me when I played the piano or and, please don't laugh, the accordion. We were a good team. He couldn't read music to save his life, but damn, he was good. He taught me a lot of good music and we could play for hours. I miss it. Today was see the dermatologist day for me. Got that darned ol' basal cell removed. And then he blasted a spot on my face again that is being stubborn. Checked me over again and didn't see anything that he thought was suspicious and sent me on my way with a return visit in 4 months instead of 3. I like this guy! He had an intern with him today. So I got 2 for the price of 1! Yippee! He was curious about the clinical trial I was in, so we chatted about that and football. The intern is from Univ of Washington. The ONLY team that has beat Boise State. He agreed that the touchdown that was called back was wrong. Thank you very much. ;) Back to you now, Miss AMN! Nappy time... |
I'm not laughing! I used to play an Olympia Double Bass! I loved that thing, it sounded like a gigantic choir of harmonicas!!!
I play melodic harmonica on a chromatic. I love to play along with my iTunes. It's sick, I know, but it's therapy for my soul and my lungs.:o |
I started playing when I was 4. My accordion was so big that my dad had to carry it around for me. I don't even remember what kind it was now, but it was huge, couldn't even see my whole face over the top of it. It was white mother of pearl and black. That's all I remember. I quit playing when I was in the 7th grade and switched to the piano and the clarinet (in band). Still had the accordion until we had our fire Dec 30, 1967. Lost everything.
|
Now that is talent to be able to play an accordion. Lost art!

I can't play anything that needs fingers anymore. Kind of sad, so much joy, time, effort and money, all gone. Oh well, now I color for fun. |

OK, y'all are killing me here!
If you came to my house we could have a concert! I'm pretty sure I have Flygirl's accordion, Nappy's Hohner 64 chord chromatic harmonica, several kazoos, a few bamboo flutes, pan flutes, recorders, and various other flute type instruments, and a giant keyboard that I am set to throw out the window when I do a drive by on the teen college style stepdaughter because she keeps leaving it here! Seriously, I come from a musical family, but MS hasn't done me any good in improving my playing skills. I used to enjoy playing, but now it only frustrates me. I need to quit saving all these instruments, and hoping I will regain the ability and just get rid of them! YARD SALE!!:p |
