This week was more difficult than expected.
Stress overload. Wow. I really didn't not fully grasp how stressful my job is. I know. I complain about it all the time. But I just didn't feel how much stress I am under until I came back after a week of no stress.
I am SO flippin tired today. We are going out of town this weekend. That always wears me out. I will make it. I just need to find a way to combat the stress. Funny what we build a tolerance to, isn't it. |
perhaps your body is telling you that it needs for you to not be so hard on yourself.
Maybe you could cut back on your hours? Is that possible? I am sorry that you are feeling such stress. hugs for you today dear bear. ((((HUGS)))) bizi:grouphug: |
Maybe going away the weekend will help relieve some of the stress.
Take some time for YOU. Relax and have a good time. Nikko:hug::hug::hug::hug: |

#Slow down your'e moving to fast, you've got to make the weekend last, take a break ..........and make some cookieeeeeeeees#:D:D:D Sincerely hope next weeks less stressful David |
Mrs. Bear:
I hope your enjoying your weekend. befuddled2 |
Dear Mrs. Bear,
I know that if I keep moving I am ok. But when I take a day off I often want to stay home the next day too. It's hard to get into the swing of things after being out a week. I know that your job is stressfull, but maybe the second week back won't seem as bad -- that's my hope for you. Mari |
"Kickin' around the cobblestones............Feelin' Groovey." :D Cute. Thanks, Dave.
This weekend was nice. It was tiring though. I will not have a chance to cut my hours or take anymore time off until the end of January now. End of year accounting, training, and the secretary for the other office will be going on maternity leave any time now. She has 4 weeks left, but I don't think she'll make it that long. She and I have a bet the baby will get here by Thanksgiving. Most of my stress is self-induced. But there are other factors as well. I gave my boss a deadline for a project I am working on for the 1st of December and he wants the numbers yesterday. Impossible. It makes me angry. And it stresses me out beyound my endurance. Every moment I don't spend on the project just amps me up. I am going to ask the family pdoc for a new prescription for valum. I let it lapse because I didn't need it. ha-ha-ha-ha. Very funny. I guess I am just a high strung, A type kinda girl. I am the same way Mari. Very interesting how alike we are in many respects. :grouphug: Thank you all for your support. It helps so much!! |
Good idea to get back on the Valium. It should help reduce the anxiety that causes the stress.
Look forward to the time off in January. It will be here before you know it. Glad to here your weekend was nice, except tiring. Maybe this weekend you can get some R & R:) Nikko:hug: |
HI bear,
You really do have a lot of stress...and not of your own doing. I hope that your thanksgiving is nice next week. hopefully you will have that friday off too? bizi |
I am going to try. But there is just so much to do.
My child. The little one. Not Wes. He got himself suspended yesterday. 3 days. He was rough housing and ended up assaulting another child. I still can't figure out how he took it to such a dangerous level. My heart is just aching. For the other family. For my son, who is just devistated by what he's done. sigh. Not good on top of everything else. It's predominating my thoughts. :( And the doc called last night and let us know his labs came back abnormal. Thyroid. It's too low. So, we start a new med today. Irritates me that it's taken this long to figure that out. His blood pressure is too high as well. He's only 14. A little more stress. At least we know now. That's the only good thing. Pdoc tonight, so there is a little light at the end of the tunnel. Wes begged to get in. He keeps breaking through his meds. Poor little roller coaster mancub. K. Gotta get my day rolling. Thank you for listening. :grouphug: |
Hopefuly the thyroid meds will help even him out.
you have been thru the wringer lately... I don't knkow how you keep it all together. you are doing a great job with your family...you are a wonderful mom. ((((HUGS)))) bizi |
Mrs. Bear:
It helps to come here to unload and help also. You are good with your family and job. You also sound like you know what could help. Writing it out helps. Hugs to you. befuddled2 |
taking me a while to make the rounds...
:holysheep: what a mess of stress.
want to tell you i'm here for you too. sorry you are having such a difficult time right now. i Do hope next week is better (you never know? lol) good luck with the new meds, the thyroid meds for your boy and the valium for You. my ex-pdoc said i was subclinical hypothyroid and treated me first with t4 and then with both t3 and t4. the effect was almost immediate. since i am not technically hypothyroid there was only temporary improvement since my body would gradually adjust its own t4 production to compensate for the supplement and it was square 1 again, lol, but with my tsh dropping out. my internist was furious at my pdoc. but true hypothyroid is another ball game. gosh i can't seem to get a word out straight without running on. the point was i think you will see a rapid effect, based on my experience. make sure he takes the supplement exactly as directed. for example, i had to take it first thing in the morning and not put anything else down the gullet for an hour. You... can you take a 5 minute break per hour at work to do... anything but work... (you know, a break). for candy... ok maybe not that... sugar bad. go outside/terrace, or just stare blankly at the wall (i'm really short on ideas here, but you get the idea, aww heck, the gist)... like... detach once an hour? would that help? maybe you already do that.
