Technical question. What do you do that makes your pictures show up in your posts and when I do it, I get a link to a JPEG? It's hurting my tiny brain trying to figure this out.

Thanks in advance.

I would like answer too, please.
AND - how do you get so many photos place without getting "yelled at"? I was able to place the raccoon photos in the Creative Forum with no problem or yells.
Here, I was "yelled at" over and over and over because the photos were too large and they were the same size as the 'coon photos. I reduced them over and over and still could only place one in a single posting.

Thanks much for any answer/s. er...umm...could I ask you to use small words and speak very slowly and clearly :o

Curious 10-10-2006 04:38 PM

host your pics on someplace like www.photobucket.com
use the img code...copy and paste to your post. the pic will show up.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Doody 10-10-2006 06:04 PM

Oh my goodness, I saw my name!

Yeth, I use mainly photobucket.

If you 'manage' your photo attachments by uploading them through here, it will just give a link, I think.

Sometimes using photobucket is a challenge though. That's where HTML basic skills come in handy, but there ain't no way I'm giving a lesson on that, took me years to figure that out, LOL.

CUTE PICTURES!!!!!!!!

Doody 10-10-2006 06:05 PM

LOLOL! HMMMMMMMMM.

Plus I thought Photobucket automatically resized some larger pictures but I could be wrong.

I usually resize my pictures to about 640 pixels x 480 pixels.

Curious 10-10-2006 06:06 PM

LOL..you did it jingle!!

the trick is the right code on photo bucket....the img one works the best.

Julie 10-10-2006 07:14 PM

Curious and I have devised a plan to keep the boys from calling her monkey and the girls from calling my monkey...they just tell their friends at their respective schools that they have a boyfriend/girlfriend that goes to the other's school. So far, it's not working. LOLOL...Robert has been with two girls almost all day.

Julie 10-10-2006 07:29 PM

Dang, I just took some beautiful sunset pictures and I can't find my download thingie! Where would you be if you were a download thingie???

Curious 10-10-2006 08:23 PM

thank you my dear. Get comfy some place and have one with me. I'm ever so sorry you are in so much pain. You don't sound the type to stay still long, but sometimes the old body don't know why you not obeying ? Well, you take care as best you can. I do so hope you can get a bit of relief, if only for a shot time.

Thanks for the cuppa. you are sorely missed when you aren't here, but take care of yourself my love, Jo

btw, she is only 12?? Wow, you better go hunt a big stick, but it is alright for them to have crushes at that age. Well, so my 2 Jennifers say so, but old granny says not and they try to hide their giggles. ((((Curious))))

Curious 10-10-2006 08:43 PM

Julie 10-10-2006 09:59 PM

Card reader is what I'm looking for. Can't find it anywhere.

Curious 10-10-2006 10:07 PM

it it an older pc?

no extra little door that opens inthe front? or are you on a laptop? my old pc didn't have a card reader. i had to hook up a usb cable.

Julie 10-10-2006 10:08 PM

It's an external reader that i have to hook up...I share it with Efren and I'm sure he has it upstairs.

Julie 10-10-2006 10:27 PM

Beautiful, Julie! Well done for figuring it all out.

I also saw a beautiful sunset while waiting at the bus stop this evening. Gorgeous deep pink-orange below a fading blue sky.

Curious, I was surprised to read that 'lil monkey is only 12 years old. She looks very mature (and very lovely).

Nice to see your handsome son too, Julie.

:)

Curious 10-10-2006 11:12 PM

thank you scrabble. she has grown up so much this last year. shoot..even just over the summer. hehehe...she has to carry her student id so she can still get the kids meals for 12 and under.

but it is scary when she gets asked what kind of car she drives!

Curious 10-14-2006 11:29 PM

took this pic today of one of my cannas

i didn't know you are supposed to dig them up. i never have. guess you don't have to in texas? mine come up bigger and better every year.

Lovely roses, Curious ......... I think I can smell them ......... ;)

cybil_who 10-15-2006 07:53 AM

oh all the flowers r sooooo pretty i luv them :)

Julie 10-15-2006 08:24 AM

Purtiful Miz Curious. Your roses are stunning.

You don't have to dig up your cannas, but you can separate them every two to three years. Same with irises! I miss mine so much.

Doody 10-15-2006 11:21 AM

Oh those pictures are stunning!

I was going to take one of myself in the morning because they make me laugh so much, but thought I'd spare you. LOLOL!

I keep a very guarded watch on my memory card. In fact, I just cleared it off so it'll be ready for my trip which I leave for on Tuesday morning, dark thirty! Egads!

Flying to Kentucky to meet the Ducky and then we will drive on to S. Carolina. I am so excited. :D

Julie 10-15-2006 04:49 PM

One of my irises from my old house. I had them from the deepest purple to this lavender.

Julie 10-15-2006 04:52 PM

This spring I planted a large bag of wildflower mix. Tons of flowers and one sunflower plant. It had one huge bloom and several small ones.

cybil_who 10-15-2006 04:55 PM

oh look how big and pretty :)

Alffe 10-16-2006 04:25 AM

What a beautiful thread! I love to see other peoples pictures...Scrabble...you really ought to share some of yours. ;)

I have a brand new rake and bags of grass seed, now if I can just locate some energy. The outline of the new flowerbeds I managed to get done after my grandaughters left yesterday...wish I knew how to scan and upload their pictures.

Doody 10-16-2006 07:16 AM

Dear Mrs. Alffe.

You need a digital camera with a memory card. Then you need a USB cable to hook your card into so that you can download the pictures to your computer.

But I know this is difficult for you so next year when I come to visit for a few days, I will show you how.

LOLOL, like it would do any good.

:)

jingle 10-16-2006 07:37 AM

Doody -- I think we need to remember here that I am the bottom line factor :o . If I can do it Mrs. Alffe can too.

I even had to learn the USB cable thingy and now it's gone. Now my memory card goes directly into the computer.

If I don't talk to you again before your trip - have good one. Be safe and have a joyous time. We'll be looking for you to come back and tell us about it. :D

Doody 10-16-2006 08:39 AM

Dear Jingle.

LOL yeah right. We're lucky Alffe can find her way here. :D

She thinks my cat down there in my signature looks like it's going to the potty.

cherokeegrl 10-16-2006 11:14 AM

Be safe, and have wonderful trip Doody...this goes for all of you travelling this next week!! If you would give hugs all around for me, I would appreciate that very much!! Thanks! I so wish I could be there!

Alffe 10-16-2006 11:28 AM
