I will be here.

I too do not like fighting the crowds--many members of which are far too drunk.

And, I know holidays are not the easiest times for many of us. All of us have some debilitating condition or other, and not everyone has a sympathetic family/spouse/significant other. So our virtual family becomes all the more important.

To all out there--no need to feel too lonely this New Year's. I'm here. Many of us will be here.

Silverlady 12-31-2007 09:55 PM

Me too!!

I'm going to bed at 8:54 p.m. Husband and I decided not to stay up and watch the ball coming down. We'll catch it on our DVD as a movie and watch it tomorrow. :p I'm too old, too achy and just plain too uncomfortable to watch others getting "lit". I'd rather open my bottle of champagne and have my black-eyed peas and cornbread in my own home. I'll be here tonight (for a little while) and tomorrow. Have a Happy New Year Everyone!!!!:grouphug:

I fell asleep around 9:30...trigger... flashing graphics!!

I couldn't stay up! I always feel achy when storms come, and we had alot of snow finally overnight.

I did wake up when the neighborhood set off some fireworks tho.

So Happy New Year to all here. I personally like the concept of a new fresh
year... like a new piece of drawing paper to start on!

I really like this analogy. It's time to break out the crayons...

and start coloring! :Painter:

Happy New Year!

Chemar 01-01-2008 12:12 PM

the clean page analogy reminds me of....

a great song by Chris Rice

Quote:

Every day is a journal page
Every man holds a quill and ink
And there's plenty of room for writing in
All we do is believe and think
So will you compose a curse
Or will today bring the blessing
Fill the page with rhyming verse
Or some random sketching

Teach us to count the days
Teach us to make the days count
Lead us in better ways
That somehow our souls forgot
Life means so much
Life means so much
Life means so much

Every day is a bank account
And time is our currency
So nobody's rich, nobody's poor
We get 24 hours each
So how are you gonna spend
Will you invest, or squander
Try to get ahead
Or help someone who's under

Teach us to count the days
Teach us to make the days count
Lead us in better ways
That somehow our souls forgot
Life means so much
Life means so much
Life means so much

Has anybody ever lived who knew the value of a life
And don't you think giving is all
What proves the worth of yours and mine

Teach us to count the days
Teach us to make the days count
Lead us in better ways
That somehow our souls forgot
Life means so much

Every day is a gift you've been given
Make the most of the time every minute you're living

blessings to all for 2008:) May we fill our pages with good things:grouphug:
