O/T... I watched this show last night on the ABC
about aliens that was unbeliveable. 60 school kids in Africa saw a UFO,and 2 aliens approached them. They were interviewed seperately by a Pulitzer prize winning proffesser who founded the Cambridge Pshyciatric Hospital, and had lectured at Harvard for 40 years in psychiatry. All 60 accounts were almost identical.
Plus there were many people in Canada who were apparently visited by aliens they call them "experiencers". http://www.rense.com/general68/eurdo.htm http://www.canada.com/ottawacitizen/...6-50c575ee996c Yikes! |
Well, maybe the aliens have some suggestions on how to run this world better. It appears to be spinning a bit out of control....
|
There's supposed to be a new TV show this season,
on cable TV (Discovery channel?) in the US, investigating recent & past UFO experiences. Maybe they'll shed some light on this phenomenon. "TAPS" is finding ghosts, and is so successful that it went international this season. |
I wish I had thought of the epic line, "Me and Grant...."
|
Aussie, i did see about the last 10 minutes of that show on ABC, they sounded pretty convincing to me, probably a lot more people have witnessed things but don't say anything for fear of being ridiculed.
Brian :) |
I just think that that the pople who were intervewed
especially the school children (post Colonial kids) in South Africa very proper and well spoken, why would all 60 of these kids make this up. They all drew indentical illustrations and there accounts of the events were similar.
Now all these documents are becoming declassified. I know this is a bit odd but I was reading this.http://www.alien-ufo-pictures.com/alien_pictures.html If you look at the ancient carvings, and hyroglifics, they do look like beings not from this world. There are people who who beleive the paranormal such as ghosts, spirits and the like. Then there are just as many people who say that is rubbish. There are those who beleive in the alien/outerspace phenomenon and those who say it is rubbish. In the end I have learned that that both my eyes and ears have deceived me at times, people lie,and space is "the final fronteir". So I am not shuting down my mind to any possibilities no matter how far fetched. Today's far fetched idea may be tomorrows scientific fact. But the show was really good. |
Everything that was said to have happened in Roswell New Mexico HAPPENED!!! Why did 300 people come forth 50 years later, when they were so old, they didn't care any more and they all had the same story. The government threatened them and their family if they spilled the beans.
The aliens came here in 1947 (probably have been doing so for many years). But I don't think they are in Area 51. I think (the government) wants us to think this. I think the alient techno stuff is in some underground facility and we've been testing their technology since 1947. Want to know why I think it's all underground?? Because 20 years ago we went to Disney World. I was speaking to a staff member and they said "do you have any idea how we run Disney World?' I said 'no I don't" and he said "nothing is done on top, All the offices are located underneath in a big facility. You have know idea how this is setup. The computer system we have is fantastic". And that was 20 years ago. So if the people can run Disney World from underneath, it stands to reason that the government can do the same thing with stuff they discovered from 1947. Do you really think the government discovered all the computer technology, the cell phones, the Intel chip, Stealth technology, etc. Do you really think they did this ALL BY THEMSELVES??? Don't think so. We've been observed for years. They are probably watching us pick at each other with our stupid weapons and having a laugh. We should concentrate on outer space instead of finding ways to kill off each other. I mean, think of the billions of stars systems, and galaxies, in the universe. Do you really think we are alone??? I do not!!! I just hope I'm alive to see the President of the USA go on National TV and blow it out of the water. I would just sit there and say "it's about time". |
I also keep an open mind about these things, i can't see any good reason why credible witnesses would say anything if they never did, i found your link interesting, thanks for that.
Brian :) |
Take me to your leader
|
Mel its so funny you mentioned technology
I just think about the technology we have and it blows me away.I sit and I think ok,yes there is great brilliance in this world, brilliant minds, scientific minds, and in America the government has the money to put these minds at work.
But lets think of communications such as fibre optics? How the heck did we dicover fibre optics, and these spy satellites, how about these computer chips, robotics, the list goes on and on. The only way we know about the war in Iraq is because our governments have "told us so". They have shown us images, televised events, politicians arguing about it,and the media exploiting it. Unless they do the same thing with the information they have, broadcast it,show the images, the governments admit to it,and the politicians argue about it, then it well never be more than what it is. But the downside to all of this is that life as we know it would take on a different meaning, it may ofcourse cause derailment in religion as we understand it to be. The implications would be huge!! Forgive me for sounding "out there". I have an open mind and an imagination. I am open to all concepts and possibilities and analyse them in there contexts. It's a little like this invisble disease PN, it takes a doctor with an open mind, and the ability to and willingness to reach and see further than there limited scope sometimes to recognise that this is a true illness. I mean how many of us went from doctor to doctor to doctor and were told it's all in our heads or they cannot find anything wrong with you. It's a little bit like that in my books. Though I am not obsessing about it, I just think that if there is scientific evidence and if there is information that can be used to save this planet and our environment they should come forth with it. |
Ask yourself this question.
If a cigarette can kill, and it says on the pack of cigarettes, that yes indeed, stopping smoking now can significantly increase your life span, and that cigarettes can contribute to lung cancer, etc. etc. Then why does the government allow Cigarettes to be sold. Because unfortunately, all the government cares is about money. And oil. Because if the government had our best interest at heart, and if they truly cared about what is good for our well-being, do you think the government would allow the manufacturers of cigarettes to continue to manufacture them. It's all about money. There is no good reason why some people should have golden faucets in their bathrooms, and others have to sleep in huts. Look at New Orleans. They still haven't done what they were supposed to do. It takes Oprah Winfrey and people like George Clooney to donate their time and money so people can get their lives back. I just don't believe everything I'm told by the government any more. And I most certainly don't think that we are ALONE in this universe. There is an order to things, this I do believe. We all have 2 eyes, one nose, one mouth, 2 arms and 2 legs. If you go lower, the dogs have all these things but they don't stand straight up. Go back even further and you have the apes. Even fish have 2 eyes. Yeah, some animal life forms differ, but basically we are two eyes, one nose, one mouth, two arms and two legs. I would imagine that life on other planets evolved similarly. The only difference would be bigger eyes (if the planet has less light), bigger ears, or smaller ears (depending on the sound quality on the planet). And we all have to use food as sustenance. So it might be a different shaped mouth. And we have to get around and be mobile, so there you have the two arms and two legs. I would love if someone (other than Jess Marcel Jr.), opened the lid on the Roswell thing. I've read the book and watched countless tv shows. I believe the military brass that came forward and admitted "yes, there were creatures that crash landed in 1947". I just wish "our government" would own up to it. I believe I know why they can't do this. It would cause such a panic in people (especially the older ones). People like their lives, their religious beliefs, etc. It is what sustains them. Perhaps they might feel that they can't believe in these things, if aliens were actually presented to them. To me, it should not make a difference. If you believe in something, why do you automatically have to Not believe in it, just because we've encountered alien life??? I think the subject is absolutely fascinating. http://bestsmileys.com/aliens/1.gif |
This has been interesting,1947,I would of been 1 and my Mom was making
shoes for 11 cents a hr. I would of loved the show Aussi, and Mel that's one guy Sue just may say yes to...I agree about some of the older people would be afraid, set in there ways and such...But Bob said anything new and a little freaky, might be fun..Do I believe in the gov. no,there paid a lot not to care,I think a Alien or 4 just might make this a better world. Thanks everyone and Aussie your something else...hmmm:D Sue |
Sue
It's not just the older people who would be scared!:D
I'd be scared senseless myself, but living on the dryest continent with endless draught, and Perth has not seen a winter in years now. I am in NSW and this is our hottest summer on record. The planet is changing and its getting bloody hotter down under, this is more frightening to me than any alien. I would think that if there is a benefit maybe it would be a technology, enviromental, fuel, food sort of thing more than anything. |
The fears are, visitation might be the same as the
'Outer Limits' short story, and TV show - that the aliens visited us with a manual titled: "To Serve Man" (Turned out to be .......... a cookbook!) |
Bob, the episode To Serve Man, starred Lloyd Bochner, (can't remember who else), and the Canimites came to earth as giant 7 foot tall beings who, by the end of the episode were taking us away in their spaceships. They had to fatten us up first.
BUT YOU GOT THE SERIES TITLE WRONG. Not the Outer Limits IT WAS THE TWILIGHT ZONE. How do I know? Because you have the El Supremo of Sci Fi Person here. Never missed an episode of TZ and never missed an episode of Outer Limits (which had two runnings) God I miss these shows. Thank god I can watch them free online. You gotta love the internet. bye for now. Melody P.S. I refuse to believe that aliens would travel all these miles just to eat us. Well, maybe the people on the Biggest Loser (god love them). lol |
OK, I stand corrected- but you get my drift.............:(
It was the idea, not who starred, or which show, that I wanted to put across. I don't, but many do have fears, about alien contact. |
Yeah, I know it was the IDEA. I was just foolin with ya!!!!
And you are absolutely right on the money. In my neighborhood, everybody is over 80. Some are close to 100. These people are so religious, they have altars in their living rooms with pictures of saints, etc. and fresh flowers every day. They get up in the morning and go to bed, just living to pray and worship. It's what gets them through their day. And bless them for that. They also have priests coming into their homes to bless their houses. My mother did that once when I was a young child. Hey, whatever gets you to reach 100 (like the lady across the street who still does her own shopping and does not use a cane and just walks using her shopping cart, well if they can live to the ripe old age by having a belief system, more power to them. I do know though, that if a spaceship landed in Washington DC, then absolutely every old person in my neighborhood would have a heart attack on the spot. These people have no knowledge of the internet, no knowledge of computers, no knowledge of anything. They live in their comfort zones and they can't imagine any other kind of life. Now the other ones, the younger generation, well I imagine they would be hootin and hollering and staring at the tv. Oh, did I ever tell you the joke I pulled on Alan the day they released Independence Day (with Will Smith). It was July 3, 1996. I'll never forget this. They were having a 30 minute special promo of this movie and it was on at 7:30 p.m. But they presented it like the Orson Welles thing, (in 1938) when they did the War of the Worlds. If you didn't know you were watching a Mock TV Show, you thought you were watching the real thing. They showed the giant spaceships on the tv. So at 7:30 I put it on, I saw they were doing this show as if Washington was being invaded, I went into the living room and I told Alan, Put on Channel 2, we're being invaded" You should have seen his face when he turned on the tv. He kept going outside and looking at the skies and saying "Melody, where are the spaceships??" I just said "I don't know but isn't it cool, they're landing all around us". He started to panic. (I'll never forget this). He was running back and forth, going outside, and then, when he decided to call 911, I saw his panic and I said 'hey, take a second, this is a tv show promoting the new film "Independence Day". He kept asking me "are you sure"? I tell you, they did such a bang up job, you thought we were being invaded. Finally, toward the end of the show, they informed the watching audience that this whole thing was a promotion for the movie, well Alan was so relieved. I couldn't understand it. I would have jumped through the stars to be able to witness such a thing. I guess not many people are like me. I don't mind new stuff, I like to get out of my comfort zone. Otherwise, I get to stay in a rut and I don't want that. But I do imagine that the majority of people would definitely show the same behavior as Alan did when I pulled that joke on him. Hit me with a wet noodle. lol Melody |
I don't know if I'd like to experience the aliens of "Independence Day"--
--they were angry, and they wanted to just use us and the planet as resources. (Maybe not eat us, but it certianly wouldn't have been healthy.)
Now, if ET's people landed, or those in Close Encounters of the Third Kind, that'd be kind of fun. But you know humans, they'd shoot first and ask questions later . . . |
Glenn:
Did you know that they made a new version of The Day the Earth Stood Still? It stars Keanu Reeves as Klaatu, (made famous by the fabulous Michael Rennie). Oh I can't wait!!! Gort. Klaatu Barrada Nikto lol |
