Sounds of Silence
My my it is toooo quiet in here....you all taking naps????
Somebody shake things up...I never sleep, I gotta have something to read!!! BTW Dahlek...your hearing thing has a name. Hyperacusis. Been there done that....feels like a knife when something drops! I would recommend ear plugs, but they are controversial....never the less, I have resorted to them and a big pillow over my head concominttantly. (OK there are too many letters in that word....somebody fix it, I can't) My hyperacusis went away...now and then comes back, but never as bad as the first time I had it. Besides being one of those great things you get to experience when stopping a med...it can also occur with PN just for kicks....like PN isn't a kick enough. |

Have you ever thought about joining a community acting group? With living in NY, I would think there are all kinds of opportunities for you? Maybe you will end up on a commercial?
You need a stage mom! :D |
Cyclops:
You're gonna love what just happened. Alan did a video on youtube about Neuropathy. It's kind of rap song. Someone just posted a comment that their mother has neuropathy in her hands and feet, and that they are going to show their mother Alan's video song on Neuropathy. I commented back to them about Methyl B-12. See, you come on these boards, you learn about Methyl B-12, you make a youtube video, you share information on Methyl B-12 TO THE WORLD!!! You gotta love this. Melody P.S. I just wish someone would leave some comments when they view the videos. Someone just saw my "sexy blouse" video and is going to name a band after me. I laughed. |

Silence
Me be silent....? NEVER! I'm still here. It's been a round robin of doctor's appointments lately. And of course, it's the beginning of the year and it's all coming out of our pocket. Poor me...
I'm struggling with my eyes right now. Dry cold Texas air. I'm running humidifiers in every room in the house. Husband has gotten to where he hears "Honey" and he says "which one?" He keeps having to refill one almost every day. I'm sure glad I bought the large ones last year. Bad thing is I'm still on crutches and can't carry the blasted things to help him fill them. I thought I was going to have to have the tear ducts in my eyes re-cauterized today. I saw a dry eye specialist in contacts last Friday in Dallas and he thought they had opened up again. So I made the appt. to see the local eye doctor to have it redone. His opinion is they are just sealed further down and open at the top. So it was a relief and a disappointment. A relief I didn't have to go thru the mini-surgery again and a disappointment that I wouldn't have more tears to see. I re-made the promise to myself and my health to put myself back on the gluten-free diet this year and cleaned out my pantry, donated all the food with gluten to my little housekeeper with 3 kids she's supporting by herself. I just kept remembering in my mind something Cara said about "what if the gluten free diet was what was keeping my Sjogren's under control?". And it's out of control badly now. Neuropathy has advanced, eyes are much worse, burning in my tongue is ****!!! Gastric issues are not good. Sure wish I could go back to Mayo. But the trip just isn't possible with everything that has happened. So I made a promise. I'm going to eat healthy, take all my supplements, cut gluten out of my diet, exercise when the bones heal enough to get me back in the wAter, see the podiatrist, gynocologist, neurologist, opthalmolgist, rheumatologist, orthopedist, gag, gag,gag and I'm not cutting my medicines down no matter who says it might be a good time to try it! My lap top is my dearest treasure right now. You will all never know what a gift you gave me. My husband gave me a new cordless mouse for Christmas. It will actually roll on my leather couch. (nesting place for Billye and pooches). I wrote a book didn't I? That happens when I'm silent for a long time. All gets built up and I spill. :D Betcha, you're sorry you said something about silence, Cyclops. Mel, I love your gadgets. Love to all :p Billye |
Oh Billye
I hate that done to my eyes, and yes we have ,2 floors of humidifiers
Bob's getting muscles back from changing them.Lol But it's no fun,and I keep drinking water,Oh well you know full well what I mean.. Mel you always come through ,thanks so much..I have been having a problem with the meds..And Hey Joe Bob and I do the same thing, write it down and can't read it. This has been interesting now wear did that C. go???? Hugs to All, and Mel he looked at you uTube again.ha Sue |
