he tried to kill himself last night :( 15 years old..... sigh....
thank God he didn't succeed, but he is in the hospital in ICU..

Oh Vicky I am so sorry. Is she talking about it? So glad he failed and hope no permanent damage was done. :hug:

and the plot thickens....He left a note... He asked one of Rebeccas friends to be his girlfriend and she declined. He was so humiliated and upset that he decided to drink a bottle of vodka, and take a bunch of pills..... The last we heard hes still in icu in a coma.... Rebecca hasn't talked to shelby, (her friend who told him no) so i have no idea how shes doing either.... i just pray there is no permanent damage...

i'm so sorry sister has to deal with this. :( give her my love and tell her lil'monkey is praying for her too. if she wants to talk to someone not from her school...lil'monkey would love to. just a sypathetic ear and shoulder.

Gosh, that's really terrible, Vicky.
I hope the young guy is going to be alright.
<sigh> such a sad reminder of how tender and fragile we all can be... especially teens.
I also really feel for your daughter's friend who declined being his girlfriend. Hopefully she's also got good support and counselling.

Shelby is so angry... she says how dare him do this to make me feel guilty.
She was over for a while today. She said the last she heard that they are saying hes going to be alright. hes still in icu but i guess responding to voices or something... i'm not for sure, and neither was she....ANYWAY i'm sure any prayers would be most appreciated

Sadly Shelby's anger....will not be heard... the young man decided himself to end life... [ thankfully unsuccessfully]

This deciscion is in my opinion taken on a spur of the moment, [ yes sometimes pre-planned , but ultimately at the time...]

I'M SAD FOR ALL INVOLVED....................

Have you learned anymore about this boys condition Vick? Is he still in the hospital? Unsuccessful suicide attempts can lead to devastating life long consequences....do you remember Marilyn and her daughters failed attempt?

I pray that he is home with his family and will get counseling. :hug:

I'm not for sure exactly, but the latest is, that he is on the psych floor at the local hospital. There are all sorts of rumors floating around out there. Everything from he has brain damage to hes ok and his family has deserted him..... I honestly dont know and we really have no way of finding out for sure. All i know to do is to continue to lift up this boy and his family in prayer. Rebeccas friend Shelby said his mom called her and told her not to feel guilty about any of this as it wasn't her fault that there were other things going on in his life. That made Shelby feel alot better about stuff. and that also leads me to believe the rumor about the family deserting him is not true. Thank you so much for your concern about this kid... I know the teen years can be tough and a confusing time... You guys are are the best!!!!!! :hug:
