I bought a new car tonight!

I'm so dang excited, I just had to tell someone. I purchased my first (and last) used car last April and have had nothing but problems with it. One repair after another. This last trip in to service was going to cost me $1600. So I traded it in.

Yea for me! :partytime2:

I'll think about the higher car payment and insurance payment tomorrow... tonight I'm gonna enjoy that new car scent and 7 year warranty!

Oh yeah... I guess I should have put that in my first post... duh.

I bought a 2008 Suzuki SX4 Crossover. Very cute, sporty, fun little car. Gets great gas mileage and shifts to AWD on the fly. Gotta love that especially driving all this winter in snow and ice in an Isuzu Rodeo that the FWD wasn't working.

I'll post a pic tonight.

Blondi, is that what is known as a "blond moment" (just kidding but ducking just in case :p)

Congratulations! I can't wait to see a pic of it :Dancing-Chilli:

Well its about time...what color??? :You-Rock:Driving in th Isuzu Rodeo must have been horrible...lots of sliding...am I right...:Slip:

Blondi 01-24-2008 01:46 PM

Snoopy... ya don't have to duck... I'm embrace my blonde moments, I have them all the time. I even have a blog (though I rarely blog on it anymore) called... Blondi Moments.

It's blue, which I had to get to go with my orange Denver Bronco license plates!

And yes, I hated driving this winter. I commonly referred to my Rodeo as "The Death Trap". Nothing like being in an SUV and sliding all over the road. Of course, now that I have AWD, it probably won't snow again until next winter. Well, at least I will be prepared!

tamiloo 01-24-2008 01:49 PM

wahoo for the Broncos....!!!

PunkDizzle 01-24-2008 01:54 PM

congrats on the new car!

You sound so happy; Congrats to you.

I really like a new car best, but mine are 6yrs. andf 8 yrs. old. They are both great, one's a Chevy Impala (mine) and DH has a GMC Van. Neither have required much maintenance beside the normal stuff and DH does all that.

Mine has only 50,000 miles on it (not bad for 8 yrs. huh?). I get great gas mileage (ahout 33 mpg on the hwy). DH has more than 90,000 miles on it. We drove that when we were house hunting and going from state to state.

My miles are almost all travel miles also.

We did wear the tires out on both and got new Michelin's about a year ago!

DH is very mechanical so I've rarely had to go to a dealership! He can fix all but the worst stuff.

I feel lucky because you are definitely at someone's mercy if you can't do it and many women cannot fix their own cars (lots of men too!).

Has anyone seen those little cars made in India. Cute as a bug! Not too practical here I'm afraid as we (most of us) tend to live so far from work and if you have a family you'd have to chain a bunch of them together.
