DBF Uncle
 

Hi Everyone - I got an email last night checking on me so I thought I better come and update everyone....

Uncle Alan made it through surgery on Tuesday fine and yesterday was sitting up & talking but the doctors are afraid his body is going to reject the pump. The pump is working but with help. DBF Mom said there were tubes & wires coming out of everywhere!

No change for me. Hands shaking, legs spasms, back tingle/prickles, legs stiffness, fatigue - wow, I sound like "wow is me!" :o

Glad pump is working, DBF Uncle is awake, etc. Will say a quick prayer for those Energizer bunny batteries keep it woring and that there is no rejection!

Char, take care of yourself - I'm glad he made it through the surgery and hope he doesn't reject the pump.....I'm keeping all of you in my prayers. I know how mentally draining all the worrying can be. I hope brighter days are ahead. :hug:

Well, he made it over the hurdle, Char~ Let's just hope he can continue to improve. You take care of yourself too. You have so much on your plate. I'm thinking of ya!:hug:

Well, the information that we got the other day was sorta wrong.... he did make it through the surgery fine (which is good) but they did not put in the heart pump they put in a tube to his heart and are pumping medication into his heart directly. He has a portable pump he is taking home today. His body was to weak and they did not even try the heart pump.

I am feeling better - thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Please keep them up.....

Thanks for the update Char. I too was very worried about you and the surgery outcome (don't do that again, huh!)

Glad you are feeling better and hope Uncle Alan continues to gain his strength back.

I hope Uncle Alan is getting stronger - we have to put our faith in the doctors and that they know what is best. Hopefully he will get stronger each day - I'm keeping him and you and your whole family in my prayers. :hug:
