Hello all is there a paticular post for poems i looked didn't see one so will start one if i am stepping on toes sorry

"Something"
Something about love,
Never any help with it.
Wondering what to do,
It's enough to give fits

I wonder about love,
Gentle, soft, pure like a dove.
Always free and flying away,
So enjoy each and everyday.

The thing about love,
When it is about.
If you don't grab some,
You may live your life without.

I know about love,
There are no books, words or rhymes.
That will explain through time,
Something about love

"WHO ME A POET"
What is a poet
I wonder sometimes,
Some one good with
Words and rhymes.

There's others with words
That fill you with thought.
Such words of wisdom
That can never be bought.

I think of those
Who speak from the heart
With loving caring words
That give your soul a start

I wonder what a poet is
Just about all the time
It's now clear to see
It's all of them combined

So I think a poet is
One who knows
They have feelings they
Are not afraid to show

So if my thoughts
Are true
Anyone can be a poet
Including you

“Touch Me”
Wild evenings
Splendid dreams
Strong feelings
Touching me

To reach for her
Is all I wish
To hold her tight
And given to a kiss

"Hawk"
Redtail Hawk soars so high
Redtail through the sky
Fly to the heavens and all around
Floating on the breeze without a sound
A sudden swoop and dive
It's prey caught by his eye
Screeching loud and clutching tight
Redtail is happy this night

"Suns Beauty"
In the mountains sunrises and sunsets
Are enough for calm people to get upset
At the splendid beauty of the colors we see,
Brown yellow purple blue red and green
These colors are never the same looking twice
It's almost like cooking and adding some spice
It perks up the world around us
Making us realize we are preformed dust
So when you look at the wonderful sight
Think of all those who miss this each and every night

"Real Windy Nights"
The breeze blows through the trees so strong
The rustling of the leaves and bowing of branches like a song
Raising the emotions deep within my heart and my soul
Some deep yearning from deep within me, so far below
I want to hold you, and mingle as one in the evening breeze
I want to hold you, and love you lifted by the songs of the trees
Come join me under the stars, and moon, and make me feel all right
Come join me, hold me, love me, on this really windy night

this next one is a 3 part poem i walk well use to walk the nature trails and record my poems as i walked

" Natures Beauty"

'The entrance'

So as I walk a cool crisp autumns path
A squirrel passes stops looks and he laughs
I smile at him and wander on by
The solitude leaving me feeling so high
I love walking out here any season at all
Winter, spring, summer, and yes fall
The autumn leaves and the colors that shine upon us
Realize that in nature, upon man there must bee some form of trust
To be able to come out escape and get away
Enjoying all of nature's beauty as they make my heart sway
So as I walk this cool crisp autumns path
I know why that squirrel back there stopped looked and laughed.

'The Exit'

So as I leave the forest, path and everything behind
I have to go back to reality and except it in my mind
The last few steps out of this forest are the hardest ones I know
Never wanting to leave natures beauty, never wanting to go
I exit with the bright sunlight shinning upon my face
Ahhhh Sometimes I never want to leave this place
The beauty of trees, the colors and the songs of the birds
Natures beauty I will never be able to put down in words
Its nice to get away, leave your troubles behind
But with reality, you must always keep it in your mind

'The Return'
So I drive back and jump into the traffic and hustle
Back to the world of sometimes too many troubles
Still I drive home, yet wanting to go back to that place
The place where natures beauty puts a smile on my face
It is nice to get away and leave your troubles behind
Yet as I drive my two children, enter my mind
I care for my children a love I hold true
As I drive home, I become too eager to be with both of you
So as I return from natures beauty to this place
I still hold the smile of autumn on my face
Knowing natures truest beauty lies down this street
Returning to my two children, make me feel so great.

" Natures Call"
I sit here looking at the autumn field
All the splendid colors and flowers they yield
It touches my soul and rest deep in my heart
The beauty of nature gives me a start
I sit and listen to the branches creek and groan
In this lonely forest where I feel at home
So I watch the grass keep time with the wind
Knowing anyone who can't understand this, man what a sin
Not to understand the beauty and wonders of it all
It shows me that people do miss natures call

"With no fear"
I step into the darkness with shame and fear
Of all my blunders and mistakes through the years
Searching for that special ones helping hand
Knowing just knowing on my feet I must land
So I search into the ever-deepening gloom
Hoping to find that flower ready to bloom
I reach for her into the night
She keeps me from feeling my darkest fright
So as I find her after many years
I step into the light with no fear

"Above Us All"
I come out to enjoy this last autumns reprieve
I thank the weather gods for allowing me to see
See the autumn splendor one last time
Through the long cold days of winter, it shall be on my mind
A picture of beauty, on a natures walk
Through life, you must enjoy and never balk
To hesitate and miss a moment of natures love
You know you are missing the point from above
It's put here to enjoy share and use
Yet we ignore, miss it, and to it we abuse
Remember to be kind to the beautiful land
So we and our children can go hand in hand
Smiling and laughing and absorbing the love
Remember for this beauty to thank that someone above

"Fall"
It's time to leave, yet I do not go
One last look before the winters snow
So I sit and look every which way
I can not explain it I just want to stay
The Juncos are here and flying around
Eating seeds and tidbits off the ground
They are a sure sign winter is not far behind
Soon after spring, in your arms I hope to find
To be with you and spend the days in your care
The love, truth, knowledge and emotions we both share
I slow down and back off my pace
Enjoying every moment, the sun and wind on my face
Passing by the lake one last time
I smile as children down there learn words and rhymes
It's great to see them learn at such an early start
Once touched by nature it always dwells in your heart
Once you've felt the emotions and joy
It easily impresses upon every girl and boy
Like standing underneath a huge Burr Oak
In your autumn hat and cloak
Watching the branches sway to and fro
Can you see why I never want to go
I love the simple things in life
honesty, trust, caring and my future wife
The sounds of the branches lift me off the ground
So I stop turn and take one last look around
I know it's not going anywhere at all
After winter, spring and summer, there comes fall
I do realize I love this season the most
So I raise my glass with a special toast
To nature it's beauty, splendor and all
The best season you have for us is fall

"This Woman I Love"
Sitting by a mountain stream
Sunlight sparkles and off the water it gleams
Shimmering and shinning, into my eyes
Sitting and staring leaving me mesmerized
I see her in the shimmering waves
Knowing it's my heart that she has saved
The everlasting love you hold for me
Released a dead heart, setting it free
Growing stronger, my heart, everyday
Leaves me wanting to shout out loud and say
Shouting Thank You to the heavenly stars above

anyone every do tag poetry, tag u are it and then given a subjct and have to write one about that subject right then, I use to do this on aol years ago some of the ones in here are tag poems hawk,,,with no fear,,,suns beauty and real windy nights, i hae many I ahve written i enjoy writing about love nature as you can tell fall is my favorite season

"Waiting for spring"
When spring finally arrives,
There will be birds singing in the air,
And sounds of children everywhere.
Then I'll know it's worth the wait,
Of those long winter nights,
Be it alone or with a friend,
I know that spring
Will arrive in the end!

"Good Feelings"
Wouldn't you like to fly away?
Even just to be free.
Wouldn't you like to sail away?
Come on and join me.
It's to this perfect spot,
Not far from a dream.
So come along with me,
And travel your road of destiny
Standing in the Bright sunshine,
Or even in the rain.
Glowing bright like the moonshine,
Come along and take my hand.
The road won't be too hard,
If you trust in me.
So we soar to the heavens,
And dive through the clouds.
We slide along rainbows,
And smile out loud.
We sing silly things through our eyes,
Come on baby and make me high.

"Cloudy Days"
I know the way through cloudy days,
Where the sun shines so bright and gay.
When she shines so bright and clear,
My hearts beats so loud for all to hear.
She is my love, this women of mine,
So warm, gentle, so very fine.
When her love shines my way,
I never have cloudy days.

"Dawn"
Glistening with the coming dawn
Dew sits heavy on the meadows lawn
A gypsy wanders through the glen
Ever watching for foe or friend
When he stops to rest for the night
He is greeted with a wonderful sight
Wondering where she's been his whole life.
He now knows he won the fight
To struggle against loneliness and despair
Now he is with someone, someone who cares.

"FRIENDS"
Friends are interesting creatures
Who come with all sort of features
There are some who are comical
And fill us with much humor
And there are those
We only see in the summer
Some are so kind
And some considerate
Some keep us on hold
For oh too many minutes
Theirs are compassionate ones
And others who make us wonder
There are those who help us understand
All our foolish blunders
There are some who make us irate
And yes some we use words like hate
For it's those friends that we lose
That remind us of all the times shared
So my friends please have a care
A friend may be counting on you

"My Swan"
I write this swan song,
So I can run away.
From feelings of sadness,
Not being able to enjoy the day

I feel as if I'm all alone
Please tell me I am wrong.
I need some reassurance
Yes I really need to hear it

About the love I've found.
But now when I look
I'm not sure she's around.

"Love?"
I thought I knew what love was a long time ago.
Got married, divorced and knew I was sort of wrong.
Spent long days and lonely nights wondering how and why me.
Then I met someone so familiar why was she, because she is my dream.
She showed me that I was correct in my first marriage assumptions.
I was mistaken about love and really lost nothing.
Now I know what it means to feel someone love me for real.
Unfortunately there is a catch, yes a catch to this deal.
She has been hurt and told lies too.
Now she believes them, not me or you.
I would take a bullet or cut my heart out.
If she would only see she can believe in me
I love her too much to ever be thoughtless
Of her fears, thoughts and desires.
I just wish she could see, without her,
Others I can't say I love to, for it would make me a liar.
For I don't want anything less than her
And to settle for less would not be fair
I long to touch and hold her always
And forever run my fingers through her hair
So she's been hurt and not in a nice way.
So her answer is forget Frank and why stay
She won't give love a chance though
She loves me that she knows
Yet is sure with me the pain will be more
So instead I live the rest of my life in sorrow
Never to share this love again comes tomorrow
She is going, god no, going away
With her go my each and everyday
I'll never feel this way again I know
There is absolutely no worldly way
So all I can tell her is
Ill never hurt you and I love you

"Fear of A Life"
You lifted a heart so sad and depressed
You helped my soul, which was filled, with unrest
You made me feel new and alive
Realizing my heart had almost died
I dreamed big dreams for my life
Never thinking you wouldn't be the wife
I'm sorry I did this to you
But my feelings have always been true
It gets so hard sometimes with certain songs
Makes me think of things I'll always long
I know what I felt that first night
Someone above was telling us we are just right
So I thank you for the brief moment of love
I just wish you would listen to the voice above
I'll always want you by my side
Still never really understanding why you hide
I know I never understood what was fear
Until now with you not near
Of course I'm scared, I'm full of fright
I shall never know you the rest of my life.

most of those are from the divorce solo parent going up the wall period of life

this next one what can i say I was hungry and ..... sounds like corny

"Banana Split"
I am that special treat
That is everyone's desire
I am that special dessert
That always sets you on fire
,...............
The banana is firm and sweet
Ice cream comes in many flavors
Peeling me can be such a treat
The taste of me one savors
.....................
The succulent hot dripping fudge
Always poured all over me
It is never enough though
So pour more and more, please
.......................
Now the cherrie, nuts and cream
I taste better than a dream
Eating me is a dream come true
But do you have to use such a cold spoon

"Friendship"
Friendships are an interesting thing
Some wind up wearing your ring
Some make you feel good inside
And others just make you want to hide
The friends I like the best
Are the ones who put me through no tests
So a friend is something we all need
And especially in times of need
So if you have a friend that's good
Remember to do the things you should
And take care of this kindness
Without friends you will end up mindless
