Poll...Scheduled Chat Time?
 

A few of us were talking in chat the other day about scheduling a time where we could all meet up and talk in real time. What do you think?

LOL I guess I am the only who has voted so far.:) Thanks to AMN I finally have chat figured out!!! It took me a while, but after 9 months of a non-stop tutorial, I got the hang of it.:D

I think it is a wonderful idea! So do we me in Lounge or the newly made MS chat area?

I sure wouldn't feel so dumb like when I have:
cog fog hit and forget what is going on
or worry about my numb hands causing embarrassing type-ohs:eek:

I do this with another group and we chat on Mondays at 6:00 central time. It seems to work out fairly well although we do get worried if someone does not show up and we expected them too.

Jane, I am pretty sure it doesn't matter where we meet but if we get enough ms members we probably would go to the ms room? Plus you can see who is in all the rooms when you go in. That's my guess.

That sounds great! I used to chat in MSWorld about 3 yrs ago, made alot of good friends......it is a shame it has all gone down hill............

i would love to do this! i think a variety of times might be nice, that way everyone would have an opportunity.

Maybe we could have a sticky per week with the designated times? This way everyone would receive notification.

Just throwing out an idea or two.

As long as there were a variety of times, I'd love to do it. That way I wouldn't miss one, and no one would have to wait for me. LOL.

Well, Sandy, I did a couple little experiments and just went into chat and waited. If you build it, they will come! I'm pretty happy with that plan now because I never know when I'll be able to type.:o

When there are several people, it's much too difficult for my weary little eyes. A couple times I've been in there with one or two others and that seems like plenty for me.

Ok, we have 27 votes so far. I wonder if that is enough to get a sticky?

Cindy, I agree. Too many and it will be difficult to keep up.

Mods, is it possible to think about times and put a sticky up for chat times? What times do you see as a possibility for chat times? Should we do a morning and two evenings? Or one for morning, afternoon and evening? Maybe we should poll times after this thread has run it's course?

I would love to do the chat thing, I just have never done it before. I am fairly new to this board stuff so I might need a little hand holding...not to mention I am blonde...:Blush2:

I've been popping in on occasion in the evenings. If I see some people in there, I'll pop in. I probably wouldn't look to come in at specific times though - just whenever I had a chance. It is kind of fun though. I like it here much more than the couple of times I tried elsewhere since I know some of the folks already.

Chat is really easy and actually no explanation needed! Just click on the chat link at the top of the forum and bam! you are there! If you want to move to another room, just use the pull down menu at the top of the room page and click yourself there! It is so easy even SandyC can do it! LOL!

Waaaa, wish I could keep up in chat, but it's just not possible, plus my dial up connection complicates things for me:(!!

I watch my son do the IM thing and it amazes me how fast he can go between conversations and keep track of the conversations! I think that is what impresses me the most!

Ok, so far we have 35 votes. I will PM the powers that be to see if they can set up a sticky with various times for us to meet up in chat.
